The staff were excellent and very welcoming. They make arrival a very good experience. The location for both airports and central Nairobi is excellent. Security is very good and I have stayed here many times. There is a nice area to relax around the pool area. The garden is lovely, and overall the hotel is beautifully maintained. The rooms in the main part of the hotel are the ones to book.

Some of the snack food could improve and sandwiches around the pool area at lunchtime made more easily available. Booking.com messed up the payment side by saying they had taken payment from my card. After leaving the hotel, the desk staff were chasing me for payment. It took 4 messages to booking.com over 5 days and an expensive overseas call to their office to sort it out.

This was probably my favorite hotel that I ever stayed at. The staff were so kind and helpful but not overbearing. The grounds are beautiful and it's quite nice to just walk around and check out the scenery. The restaurants are delicious - probably the best three meals that I've had so far in Kenya were at the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

I stayed twice on week apart. The first time I checked in, the room was rather dirty. I think this is a fluke though, because otherwise the room was spotless after housecleaning each day. There was also a mix up with a package drop off at the front desk but the staff were helpful in getting it sorted.

The hotel location is great, and the peaceful and green grounds were lovely to return to after a long day. The hotel is clearly well taken care of and the decor during the holidays was such a cozy touch. However, more than anything else, every single staff member made our stay an absolutely excellent and enjoyable one. Everyone was incredibly friendly, kind and helpful—at a level above other hotels we've experienced in Nairobi and even the rest of the world. It made for a warm and welcoming atmosphere and we wished we had stayed longer. A special shoutout must be given to Florence at reception for taking such good care of everything we needed and making us feel at home. She is a true gem.

The rooms themselves are a little outdated, but we found them comfortable and they had everything we needed.

The hotel is surrounded by lovey gardens and is beautiful , spacious and atmospheric. It is an old building , elegant and full of charm. The rooms are large, wifi excellent and a lovely hot shower . The gardens are extensive and very well maintained as is the entire hotel

Although the buffet breakfast was great I think it was a little expensive at $25 usd

The reception staff and porters were wonderful! Friendly and helpful. The hotel is lovely with beautiful gardens to relax in. The breakfast buffet has plenty of choice and was very good indeed. There were always taxis available which made getting about easy.

I didn’t like the fact that there was no option of inside dining in the evenings because there were a lot of mosquitoes outside. I think the meals were overpriced although they were very nice. The waiters were too over attentive but these are relatively minor issues compared with the good experience overall.

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pool area is super relaxing and lust, with great service. Breakfast area is bright and looks out on garden, with good selection. Very cool historic property, will definitely recommend!

The only negative I can think of is that I sent a single piece of laundry for express service, and it was not back by the specified time. It was returned to me shortly after, but had not been washed. Not the end of the world.

During the entire stay I felt very safe and close to being at home. I had a big room facing the parking lot. Very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding. The personal is super friendly. The pool and especially the pool restaurant are exquisit. Everything is comforting.

Hotel was beautiful inside, lovely decor which felt luxurious, the gardens are well maintained and peaceful with a good sized pool. We were spolit for choice on where to eat and we also enjoyed a wine tasting in their wine cellar. The staff we amazing as we checked out but didnt fly untill 10pm so they let us freshen up in the pool showers and came to collect us when our taxi arrived. What more could you need!

The hotel was central location, staff were very helpful and respectful and friendly , eager to help. the staff at reception were very helpful , they gave us very good advice on local markets and cash points , booked our taxis , printed our flight e - tickets , exchanged dollars to local currency , they allowed us to use the facilities for the day after check out as our flight was in the night , we had food at the restaurant before our flight which was excellent .

Fantastic garden and swimming pool, very quiet and calm environment in an otherwise very busy city. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the garden is the perfect place for a drink after a busy day.

Meals in the restaurant are quite expensive compared to other restaurants in the neighbourhood.
