The room was like no other (next level) what a gorgeous room - Thank you to Riz and Habib!

The poor service and lack of empathy given I disclosed my situation. I have never been treated like the hotel manager Benjamin treated me and after staying at the W Sydney @ Darling Harbour and meeting and experiencing such quality and exceptional service for 1 week. Benjamin's poor customer service and how he made me feel as a person/customer I will never return to the hotel. Benjamin made me feel worthless and did not show any empathy or compassion. I will never forget the 1 night experience and how I was treated as a customer.

We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive. We were gifted with a complimentary upgrade. The breakfast included at The Harvest Buffet was superb. A+

Customer service was fabulous. Checked in with my partner. Mentioned it was her birthday and they upgraded our room and said happy birthday multiple times, which was very sweet. They also sent up free snacks to our room and bath salts for the amazing spa bath. Even upon check-out, they said happy birthday to her again and it felt genuine. The room was very clean. The views were great. The pool area is small but wasn't crowded, which was nice. The breakfast buffet was not the best I've ever had, but it was good. The deal we got through booking.com was great. We were able to get extras like; free parking for 24 hours, $50 food and drink voucher, breakfast buffet included, and late check-out (12pm). Pretty great and affordable deal! Customer service was exceptional, so will definitely return here.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20 years anniversary, the lovely receptionist quizzed me about our stay, and I did inform him, and he gave me a few choices and we settled on a fruit platter and sparkling water which was complimentary. My favorite thing in the room was the pillows!! I love them!! Bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious, and we had a view overlooking Barangaroo. The lighting system was very modern and took some time to get acquainted with this. We purchased a 2-night stay that included complimentary parking, $50 voucher at certain eateries at the star and buffet breakfast. We would definitely stay again if a deal like this or better should pop up again.

Very clean and comfortable. Practically sound proof. Comfortable bed but an inch or two higher and I would have needed a step ladder.

Too high tech for us, being older people. It took us quite a while to figure out just how to turn the lights on and off. There were no instructions except how to use the coffee maker. It would have been better for us if there had been an actual menu for the available restaurants rather than having to use your phone to scan. The room temperature was a little cold for us and we found it difficult to get an ambient temperature. We turned the air conditioning off in the end as it was just too cool and draughty even when we had put the temperature to 28°c.

Location close to public ferry wharf, short walk to Darling Habour main area. Walkable to CBD (QVB area). Room and amenities very clean, and room quite spacious. Hotel allowed late check-out for our room (12noon) which made it perfect for our flight time.

The gym is really small and not well equipped. Only couple of running machines, and cycling machines, there is not even a workout bench. And the fridge inside the room is the automatic ones, which means we cannot move the mini-bar drinks around without being charged, very not convenient for families with stuff require fridge space.

Very modern design of the lobby and the room. The room size is big. Separate shower room and toilet is an add-on. 5-star hotel service and staff were very friendly and helpful. Good coffee and tea in room facilities. Great location in darling Harbour. There are plenty of restaurants with various categories and cucines to choose from. 25m outdoor pool locates on 5th floor. It's an unvergetable stay.

The room lighting system is very trendy using sensor control, which took us some time to understand how it works. The shower room privacy for the twin bed room should be taken more consideration. Would be great to have more table surfaces in the room. Gym was tiny.

When my wife and I initially looked at staying is Sydney we thought The Darling was a little above our price point, but we thought 'Why Not' let's treat ourselves. Well, let me tell you... staying at The Darling was possibly the best experience we've had in any kind of accommodation. From the initial discussion with Alan at reception we were made to feel special, getting a card, flowers and a beautiful little treat for our 15-year anniversary. Then there was Ian, my god this man knows how to make guests feel like the center of attention. Taking us aside and providing us with valuable information about our stay and how and what to see around Sydney, Hooking us up on our first morning with a coffee and orange juice, I'm not lying when I say there was no reasonable request that went unheard, Ian was truly brilliant!! Also Cameron at reception who organised a Medic for my wife after she hurt her hip and Habib who took us around Star Casino to show us where everything was. I can go on and on but I think you get the picture... If you stay in Sydney do yourself a favour and stay at The Darling, you wont regret it!!

Ha! this one's easy. There's nothing that we didn't like.

Beautiful property, lobby smells divine, gorgeous room that was a good size, friendly staff who went out of their way to resolve an issue we had, lovely pool area, room service has great quality food, central location that is walkable to most attractions and only a few minutes walk to Lyric Theatre, food court and restaurants. They also provided a little sweet treat for my daughter for her birthday.

Standard rooms don’t have a bathtub however I knew this when booking and it wasn’t an issue.

Double room. Very spacious. Shared with my sister. Very comfortable and great pillows. Very modern rooms with touch switches for lighting, curtains and privacy. Large window with views but not of the harbour. Easy train from the airport to Circular Quay then ferry ride to Pyrmont Wharf. Short walk to the hotel. Quiet and picturesque area close to all attractions. Great restaurants in the Star complex and the hotel. All staff went above and beyond starting with the security guard outside the building who I asked for directions. He took my bag and escorted me all the way to the concierge. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Best I’ve ever encountered. Dressing gowns and slippers supplied and beds turned down with a treat on the pillow. Felt very spoilt. Would definitely recommend this hotel for something a bit special.

Only slight problem with the double room would be the open plan bathroom. Great double sink and seperate toilet but no door so not private when stepping out of the shower. Very small issue which would never prevent me returning.
