The room was like no other (next level) what a gorgeous room - Thank you to Riz and Habib!

The poor service and lack of empathy given I disclosed my situation. I have never been treated like the hotel manager Benjamin treated me and after staying at the W Sydney @ Darling Harbour and meeting and experiencing such quality and exceptional service for 1 week. Benjamin's poor customer service and how he made me feel as a person/customer I will never return to the hotel. Benjamin made me feel worthless and did not show any empathy or compassion. I will never forget the 1 night experience and how I was treated as a customer.

We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive. We were gifted with a complimentary upgrade. The breakfast included at The Harvest Buffet was superb. A+

We loved it here. Very, very comfortable. Spacious room, all amenities, great beds. Everything digitalised, from opening curtains with one press of a button to having a MagSafe charger in the bedside tables. Amazing cleaning staff, everything was absolutely spotless. Loved the daily Nespresso and the little packets of milk. And amazing pillows - second hotel on this trip to have good pillows! The hotel is in a great location as well, right in Darling Harbour, near the harbour hustle and bustle as well as all public transport. We basically walked everywhere. Just cross the Pyrmont bridge and you’re close to most sites. The harbour is also a great place to have drinks around sunset. There are three hotels at the lot, one of which is the Darling. Breakfast is at a buffet restaurant called Harvest Cafe, which is next door (in a building that’s called the Star, which offers a hotel, casino, shops etc.) and offers a really nice spread. There’s a fairly large Coles supermarket in the building next door, as well as a great Thai place and a lovely Balinese restaurant.

The only two things I’d change at the Darling is 1. an ‘opt out’ for changing the bedding. It’s an ‘opt in’ now, and sometimes I’ll simply forget to put the card on the bed. And 2. have a bar/coffee place in the lobby. But otherwise top notch!

Customer service was fabulous. Checked in with my partner. Mentioned it was her birthday and they upgraded our room and said happy birthday multiple times, which was very sweet. They also sent up free snacks to our room and bath salts for the amazing spa bath. Even upon check-out, they said happy birthday to her again and it felt genuine. The room was very clean. The views were great. The pool area is small but wasn't crowded, which was nice. The breakfast buffet was not the best I've ever had, but it was good. The deal we got through booking.com was great. We were able to get extras like; free parking for 24 hours, $50 food and drink voucher, breakfast buffet included, and late check-out (12pm). Pretty great and affordable deal! Customer service was exceptional, so will definitely return here.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20 years anniversary, the lovely receptionist quizzed me about our stay, and I did inform him, and he gave me a few choices and we settled on a fruit platter and sparkling water which was complimentary. My favorite thing in the room was the pillows!! I love them!! Bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious, and we had a view overlooking Barangaroo. The lighting system was very modern and took some time to get acquainted with this. We purchased a 2-night stay that included complimentary parking, $50 voucher at certain eateries at the star and buffet breakfast. We would definitely stay again if a deal like this or better should pop up again.

Very clean and comfortable. Practically sound proof. Comfortable bed but an inch or two higher and I would have needed a step ladder.

Too high tech for us, being older people. It took us quite a while to figure out just how to turn the lights on and off. There were no instructions except how to use the coffee maker. It would have been better for us if there had been an actual menu for the available restaurants rather than having to use your phone to scan. The room temperature was a little cold for us and we found it difficult to get an ambient temperature. We turned the air conditioning off in the end as it was just too cool and draughty even when we had put the temperature to 28°c.

Location close to public ferry wharf, short walk to Darling Habour main area. Walkable to CBD (QVB area). Room and amenities very clean, and room quite spacious. Hotel allowed late check-out for our room (12noon) which made it perfect for our flight time.

The gym is really small and not well equipped. Only couple of running machines, and cycling machines, there is not even a workout bench. And the fridge inside the room is the automatic ones, which means we cannot move the mini-bar drinks around without being charged, very not convenient for families with stuff require fridge space.

Service. I was unwell and need to see a Dr in the early hours of the morning. I could not have received better care. Ultimately an ambulance was called and I was taken to the hospital. I was concerned about my wife but the hotel contacted here to reassure and also provided a fruit platter so she would eat something while I was in hospital.

They should check the pillows and replace the ones that have outdone their life.

Everything was fantastic. The room was opulent and luxe. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They cleaned the room daily and also cleaned during their turn down service. We were very happy with our stay and would love to come again.

It's a 5 star hotel so it's more expensive than what we would usually pay. However we felt we got good value. It would have been nice to have an indoor pool or spa within the hotel to use in the cold weather.

Very modern design of the lobby and the room. The room size is big. Separate shower room and toilet is an add-on. 5-star hotel service and staff were very friendly and helpful. Good coffee and tea in room facilities. Great location in darling Harbour. There are plenty of restaurants with various categories and cucines to choose from. 25m outdoor pool locates on 5th floor. It's an unvergetable stay.

The room lighting system is very trendy using sensor control, which took us some time to understand how it works. The shower room privacy for the twin bed room should be taken more consideration. Would be great to have more table surfaces in the room. Gym was tiny.
