So conveniently located for flying out of Terminal 5...just a walk across a pedestrian bridge. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Before arriving, we were offered an upgrade for an additional fee to a suite. Ours had club access that included complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening canapés and drinks. Our dinner (plus a bottle of champagne) in La Belle Époque, a French restaurant, was included in the offer as well, quite a bargain since we had planned on having a celebratory dinner our last night before flying home anyway. The food and service were excellent. There was also a spa on premises but I didn't try it.

We're retired and used to travel frequently on business. This hotel has a definite business hotel vibe, and although we were upgraded to a very nice suite, our room didn't have much character and felt a bit sterile. No complaining though. For an airport hotel, Sofitel was an excellent and convenient luxury hotel option.

Easy 5 minute indoor walk from Terminal 5 Arrivals. Bed was very comfortable, sheets were crisp and we had the best nap upon arrival from NYC at 6:45 a.m.! I had reserved the room for the previous day so we could check in immediately. I called the hotel before boarding flight for London to confirm we would be a very late check in. I was asked to provide a credit card to guarantee the room since, apparently, Booking.com had not paid for the room yet. I was also offered a free extra hour to 1:00 pm for checkout. I’m glad I also asked for directions to hoteI because I don’t think I would have found it so easily otherwise. Upon arrival, we were upgraded from a classic room to a junior suite. Our room was conveniently located close to the lobby. Before my nap, I stopped at the lobby coffee bar and brought a freshly baked croissant and excellent caffè latte back to my room. After nap and a shower, we checked out and left our carry on bags with the hotel bellman so we could sightsee in London before our connecting flight that night. The Sofitel Hotel made our London layover delightful. Thank you to everyone’s kindness on the phone and in person!

There was only one shower cap and it was so thin that it tore in half as I tried to open it.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff provided an early check in at no extra charge. Room was ready at 11 AM and they extended our stay on day of checkout an extra hour at no extra cost. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed to include bathrobe and slippers. There are numerous lobbies, restaurants, and a bar. The entire hotel is very clean to include the bathrooms in the lobby. There is not one thing bad I can think of and will definitely stay at this hotel again when in London. This hotel far exceeded my expectations.

There was nothing I did not like about the hotel.

The location is ideal - it was right within the terminal I was leaving from the next day and it was easy to walk there. Great for peace of mind. The room was large, well appointed and cozy.

I tried to order room service and despite calling several times between about 11 pm and 1 pm, I did not get through. The number kept ringing and ringing and I was pretty hungry. I made do with some tea from the room coffee set up but that was far from ideal. Fortunately, when I left the order card on my door for an early breakfast, that was picked up and delivered on time early the next morning.

Nice clean hotel convenient to airport. It's at terminal 5 which is a surprising distance from the rest of the airport. It was about a 3 minute train ride to get to Terminal 3. We had good luck with the subway and there was no charge. Other members of our group used the special airport train in the early morning and ended up having to wait for about 15 minuites for train to leave the station. The hotel had a great dinner with a wide variety of options. Breakfast was expansive but also very expensive. Rooms were comfrotable and staff was great. There was also a very nice gym.

No bedside outlets! There was no way to charge my phone at my bedside. The only outlets were on the floor next to the bathroom or on the table across the room. Very inconvenient!!

I stayed here the night before flying home from LHR so that I would not have to worry about getting to the airport. There is a (long, 10+ minute) walkway connecting to Terminal 5. Arrive early enough and in theory you could take the Tube or Heathrow Express into London to see the sights.

You pay a high premium for the convenience. GBP30 for breakfast is a ripoff, go walk 10 min to Terminal 5 and you can get something at Pret a Manger or Cafe Nero (before security). The reception person did not tell anyone that they need their card for the lift/elevator to work, and to get electricity in the room (there is a slot near the room door where you insert your card).

The hotel was beautiful, it has a walkway direct to terminal 5 which was British airlines so that was perfect. My daughter had a wonderful facial at the spa, we would have used the pool but it was down. The cookies left in the room with tea were so delicious, beds were cozy. We were stuck in London for 4 extra days due to the airport closure, so I decided to pick one in the airport for the day we finally flew out, I wish I would have booked there sooner it was just what we needed after a long ordeal. The bath products were wonderful!!

Food in the tea way was decent but nothing to brag about, service was extremely slow but we weren't in a hurry. The lotion and body store never opened it was a Sunday so we were disappointed.

Room upgrade was great. I was tired as I arrived 9 pm on an international flight and I have very low vision. My vision problems were exacerbated by the dim lighting in the reception area and the lighting bouncing off the shiny reflective surfaces in the area. I was literally saved by a young man working in the lobby. He carried my bags, walked me to the room, got the lights on etc. and explained other things to me as well. He was generally concerned if I was doing ok and I was most grateful for his help.

I requested, in advance, extra lighting not a quiet room. There appears to have been some confusion around this. Hotel was difficult for me to find. Reception area is very badly lit.

My stay at Sofitel London Heathrow was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, directly connected to Terminal 5 via a covered walkway, making it perfect for travelers with early flights or layovers. The hotel room was luxurious, spotless, and well-appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The room was equipped with all the modern amenities one could need, and the soundproof windows were a great touch, keeping the airport noise at bay.

One downside was the lack of power outlets by the bedside, which would have been convenient for charging devices overnight.
