The hotel is a hidden gem. I mean, at the room rate it is at, the room is good with a good AC. There is not much on the TV, but it does not matter to me. The staff ( I only met one person who did everything and unfortunately, I forgot his name) was very helpful and friendly. The location is great. can catch the sunrise over the sea if you want, because the beach is less than 100 meters away (aprox). There is a cafe/ beer bar almost attached to the hotel. Seafood places also. The only problem I can mention is the rooms are on the 1st floor with no elevator. but the staff helped me with my luggage. The bathroom was good. They had fireworks at the temple, which I got to see some nights. I think I'll stay here again when I visit Penang.

At this budget..... there is nothing to improve on. Maybe some people would like to watch the TV . As the TV is already there, maybe giving them a basic English channel option could be something. My room did not have any hand-washing soap. It could be a mistake. I bought my own and did not ask for it. So if it's not part of the package, maybe they could add the soap.

The room was big and the bed was really comfortable we had everything we needed the owner was very helpful and our room was cleaned everyday and we always had clean towels. It was quiet even though there was a temple next door we were not disturbed by noise. The Pearl Garden restaurant opposite is very basic but the food is very good it opens early evening there is also a shopping centre 'Lotus' s' which is just a ten minute walk from the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend this place.

I read the reviews for Georgetown and most places suffered from noise and thin walls and drunk customers, so I decided to take this place inside a Temple complex, next to the sea and about halfway between George Tosn and Ferringhi Bay. It was great actually - quiet, a comfortable bed, good hot shower, no traffic noise (sometimes a few people outside chstting late) and cleaned everyday with new bottled water and voffee sachets. You need a bone or car to get the most out of this location, but I like to have a bike anyeay, thought there is a HUGE foodcourt about 8 mins walk away.

The sirconditioner didn't turn off automatically at the selectef tempersture so if it was left on over night the room would get way too cold.

I've been to Penang many times, so I want to stay somewhere that is not in the Georgetown. The location is great for me, a quiet place by the sea and accessible by bus. The room is spacious and clean. There are outlets and cabinets on both sides of the bed, which is convenient. The bathroom is also spacious and the water pressure is great. You could see the sea from the room, though the sea in Penang is not the beach with sunshine type. There are also restaurants and food courts nearby.

Communication with the owner is kinda difficult. He seems kind, but doesn't quite understand my English. :-(

This was my 2nd stay and it was as good or better than the 1st stay. The biggest selling point is the location and the price. All the rest is just topping. I loved the very local restaurant within the compound. Without having to go searching anywhere one can try local food the way locals eat at local prices and not tourist prices. Very friendly people there. I will probably stay here again when I visit Penang.

Nice location with seaview and spacious room. Worth the money

Reached about 7pm and there was no one to assist with check in. There’s only 1 person managing everything there and he went out to eat without informing anyone around. Could have atleast inform the parking uncles outside before he left. End up waiting for 30mins for him to arrive and he argued with me that he only left for 5minutes 😏 otherwise everything else was good. I will definitely repeat the stay over here due to the location and price

We decided not to live in George Town since this is not the first time we were in Penang. This hotel exceeded our expectation by the convenient neighbourhood, not too far from convenient stores, restaurants, etc. Walking distance to the beach, 10-15 minute drive to George town.

We would love if the hotel had a fan and a mini fridge. But overall, the facility and comfort are way too valuable for the price.

The staff was very friendly. When I got the room which was facing hill (my booking supposed to face sea), so, I asked the staff about that and he changed the room for me. The room was really clean and spacious. But, if u want more bigger room, choose deluxe room instead (have bathtub also).

The hotel location is inside temple area (which is not really good for me because I'm Muslim). But, it's very nice with sea view

It is located within the compounds of a very old temple by the sea. Which is surreal. Nice sandy beach just a stone's throw away. And right on the beach there's a bistro under some really big old trees. The whole setting is just so mysterious and interesting. The rooms are clean and basic but the location more than make up for it. Highly recommend this place.

It is quite a long walk to any amenities. You definitely need to be driving to get there

We like the lodge manager Mr Than who is very friendly and helpful. We like the shower head when using it. We like the size of the room, the bed and everything in the room is full of heritage feels, which make you feel comfortable and relaxing. Easy parking with one time parking fees til check out. Seafood restaurant nearby. Will come again.

Need to add floor mat outside shower room, handsoap and more shower gel. But it's ok, I think we will bring it ourselves in our next trip. Other than that is the Avatar Secret Garden, the beautiful lightings are no longer exist due to breakdown during mco, not sure they will resume not, as I saw a number of tourists came for that and get disappointed by this bad news including myself.
