It was a great apartment with water views, very comfy. The consierge Jason was lovely and very patient with our requests. The Security guys were always smiling & friendly. We were very happy that there was a Mercato Supermarket downstairs, very convenient for buying cold drinks (beer & wine), we also ate at the Japanese restaurant Edo Ichi & the 7 villages Noodle House both excellent, and had coffee's at a few of the coffee shops in the building. So convenient to have the bus pull up at the front of the Island Plaza (we bought weekly My Penang bus cards/passports for 30MYR ea which made it super simple to get into Georgetown or out to Batu Feringhi. The new pedestrian overpass will make it easier to cross the main road, it was available to climb the stairs to cross but they were still putting in the elevators when we were there. Shen Fu Night food cafe (5pm till late closed on Tues) is so convenient with around 30 different kinds of food and Bar table service thats so quick, you won't mind having to wait for the food as it can get busy. Satay guy has a cart right across the road there are table & chairs (I think open wed-sun from 5pm till sold out) 10 chicken satay, sauce and salad + rice 11MYR get in early, because the cars line up down the street waiting to order, you won't be sorry. My Best Recommendation: Kafe Tanjung (Nyonya Economy Rice open till 4PM if there's still food) if you like good old fashioned honest food, is probably the best food you will ever eat, hands down, no question, their ethos is simple you serve yourself and you pay for the portion size - our first time for 2x meals plus lemon water drink was a total 17MYR I had chicken curry, veg & rice and wife had Braised Pork, veg & rice, last visit we had 5 of the biggest sweetest prawns in the yummiest sauce with veg noodles & rice + our usual drink for 20MYR each ($13.

Really for the price we couldn't complain, the apartment flooring does need to be replaced (laminate that has warped over time) the cleaning ladies do a fantastic job of keeping everything spotlessly clean, and also having a washer dryer was fantastic. We couldn't find any english speaking programs on the TV, no great hassle, so just watched our Netflix etc on our tablet, I'd advise taking a chromecast dongle if you watch TV at night.

The reception (Nicole) is friendly, she get in touch with us prior to our check-in so that she can be on standby. Parking is provided for free and the location is strategic and 10 mins drive from Gurney Drive and town centre. The room is located within the mall, therefore, if you are looking to do some grocery or quick bites, it is easy. 3 bed rooms with queen size bed, two toilet with heaters, AC, water heaters, kettle, ironing board, hair dryer, towels are provided. Kitchen facilities complete and bonus is the washing machine and dryer.

The TV should have access to a list of Astro channels, but it is not working. If they can provide room disposal slippers, that would be great. No gym facility but there is an ANYTIME fitness right opposite.

nice to finally find an apartment that takes cash security deposit and not a bank transfer, makes it a lot easier for non-locals like me. everything you need in the room except an oven, supermarket on LG very conveniently located. everything advertised working as expected, i had a great view of harbour but i think other rooms may not have. super quiet as well, easy to sleep, staff helpful. a little pricey for solo person, but 2 or more people would be a great price.

552am wakeups from the local mosque, nothing much they can do about that though and usually lasts 3 minutes. had a minor issue with wifi on first 2 days but turns out the neighbour next door had unplugged the router extender, so just double check you're on the correct network and you should be good. it was fixed quickly and staff were very polite about it.

Overall a pleasant stay , my booking king suite with sea view. At the last minute they upgraded with a family suite and the price was the same. A very big room for 2 pax. I tell you good things first,The room and location are awesome. The bathroom is clean as well. Free parking, big space, AC top notch, washing machines+ drayer very useful they provide detergent also, almost mini home 😁..ok now something that I'm not that happy about, I'm not okay with the sea view. I thought it was closer but the sea was very far away ,my suggestion is don't call it sea view pls. But one thing I'm happy bout this view is you can see the sunrise from your room window. That was cool. 2nd there is dust ! Pls fix it. 3rd the TV channels you provide no use at all. Only local chancels and FM available. Customers from all over the world are recommended to upgrade with multiple channels so that we do not feel that much bored here. That's all. Nothing much to complain about. Very happy and satisfied and value for the money!!! Thanks you guys... It's a peaceful vacation ❤️

The manager and receptionist were friendly and helpful. Good location. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants at Island Plaza. The room was clean with everything I needed for a three week stay. Wi fi was excellent. Washing machine and dryer were very handy. There was a bus stop out front and just a 10 minute ride or 20 minute walk to Gurney Plaza. There was good security as well with many guards around so I always felt safe. Would definitely stay again.

The only negative thing I could say is the outdoor furniture around the pool needed to be replaced.

The reception kindly upgraded us to large 1 bed room family apartment with two double beds and sea view. We loved the washing machine and dryer as we had been travellig more than 10 days, washing powder was kindly provided. The kitchen is fully equipped wth pot and pan, we used the microwave but not the stove. This apartment is above Island Shopping centr, although is older shopping centre, small distance 1.2km walk to Viva Local Food heaven, or short Grab drive to The Gurney and Paragon. Opposite the Island Plaza has a satay from a Malay vendor. Easy to get food with lift down from apartment, I recommend Auntie Q restaurant, their roast cracking pork dish is pretty good.

The room neat and spacious..near to mall(walking distance), near to hypermarket(4min drive)..the parking share with mall visitor but still manage get an empty parking..value for money..

Need to be more clear about self checkin (some video may help), a bit confusing where to take the key especially when arrive at night..tv no channel (maybe can put smart tv for netflix)..can improve the dishes cause its small not enough 😅..

Very simple check-in. Big room and dining space. Clean bathroom. Big beds. Nice view and plenty of natural light during the day. Great location. Supermarket in the basement and also across the road. Plenty of eateries close by. Cafes downstairs also serve breakfast.

I had only one issue but never informed the host. I'm sure it would have been addressed if they had been informed. T was the Wifi was fine in the dining area but very bad in the bedroom. As my Wifi priority was low, it did not impact me that much.

Clean, cosy, located nearby tourist attraction. Complete kitchen ( i only bring my rice cooker). Has functional washing machine and dryer.Accessible to groceries and we even cooked for breakfast. First floor / ground floor has mercato groceries store. Opposite has village grocer. Walking distance (3minutes) to Man Char Kuetiau (halal), japanese eateries, D tandoor. Memang suka lah tempat ni. Will definitely recommend to others.

I worked as veterinarian. So the property walkway smells like a vet clinic. 🤣

Location beautiful view washer AND dryer more than enough elevators, store right at the bottom of building, extremely clean, room service was exceptional… No one goes on vacation to find out they have terminal cancer but this is my story. The people that surrounded us to help during this time always went above n beyond! So many thank you’s and gratitude 🙏
