As everyone else has said, the building is really beautiful with the preserved heritage Chinese building. Everything about our stay was perfect. The building and room were spotless, the bed very comfortable, the AC was great, the staff were friendly, the decor was simple but beautiful and understated. The place overall has such a great vibe. We always avoid staying in resorts in favour of smaller more personal establishments and this was exactly that. It was so much better than we thought it would be! The whole place felt really new while retaining its authenticity. The location is perfect, within walking distance to everything you could want. Could not recommend this place any more, we’d love to come back!

The staff could not of been any nicer, the building is heritage and so stunning, my room had its own bathroom for extra cost but so worth it, great location, I only have good things to say, they were so helpful and welcoming Thank you ke-lan-tan I will be back next year 🥰

The house is gorgeous and absolutely worth seeing. The area with provided water (hot and cold), with tea bags, coffee and biscuits is great. The indoor garden gives it a special flair. The house is situated a bit outside the old city center but everything is within walkable distance. The staff provides useful maps and information. The private bathrooms are situated not within the rooms but outside, our's was a bit farther away, like 20m but it wasn't a problem for us.

After our affirmed booking we received a message that the room is no longer available and we should upgrade to a different room, which coincidentally was much more expensive. We did not accept this and they then found a different solution but it was rather weird. We also found the check-in rather strange because we suddenly had to pay more than it showed on booking. Only about 25 Ringit, but it was unexpected. Also the additional 12Ringit per night for taxes should be mentioned beforehand. You also need to pay a 100 Ringit deposit for your room once you arrive.

Very clean rooms with very unique and charming character. The bathroom is a little bit further away from the room, but that was no problem since we knew it upfront. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We used their long list with local dishes to try as much as possible in this street-food loving city. We also got a lot of tips to explore downtown.

We liked the atmosphere of the old house with nice decorations. They offer free tea, coffee & water. The reception staff were very kind. The location is not far from the center. Wifi worked good.

Some minor things we didn’t like: Grab driver may have difficulty to find the place. We couldn’t open the window and no curtain in the room, so it was too bright to sleep until noon. But they are not disturbing so much. Overall this is a very nice hotel to stay.

The bathroom was outside the room but was exclusive to our room... Nobody else using it.. So not a big issue as such

An excellent heritage hotel in George Town with traditional decoration & atmosphere. Very relaxing & very helpful & friendly staff. Huge room with private bathroom outside the room. Very good location close to many malls. Very clean & very organized. Excellent WIFI internet inside the room.

Beautiful old house, with a lovely plant-filled interior courtyard, great location, helpful and friendly staff. Our room and bathroom were both spacious, the beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. There was some noise from the street, but we barely noticed it. I would definitely stay there again.
