I arrived late, after midnight and the receptionist was expecting me. The next morning when the manager realised I had stayed perviously in 2019, she upgraded me. My room was well appointed and quiet. The internet speed was fast and the connection stable. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom is good and the hot water supply constant. Housekeeping made up the room when I required it. The breakfast had six options, and a good choice of hot/cold drinks. All of the staff are polite, professional and very helpful. The location is great, within walking distance of many restaurants, convenience stores, launderette, massage shops and also the nightlife area. Overall a great stay and I would have no hesitation in returning to stay again in the future.

The only negative comment I can make, is that the cable TV only has one channel currently available. This wasn't a problem for me, because the internet speed was sufficient for streaming, but for families travelling with kids, the lack of some kid's TV channels might cause disappointment. Also some news channels and maybe a movie channel would be a good idea.

Beautiful traditional hotel with British colonial-style decor. Room and bathroom were good size, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was pretty decent and the location is quite central. Rooftop wine terrace was also a great touch.

The pool is probably better off being a pond in my opinion, the photos possibly exaggerate it's depth! Breakfast only allow one dish and one drink per person, I would have liked to have more than one drink!

I loved the place and the staff,they were so friendly and kind! the breakfast was tasty and good!

The owners of the hotel!!! oh my good! the treated the employees as slaves!!! I will never recommend this hotel to other travellers because of this!! we’re living in 2024!!! Come on!! I hope the staff will move on👌

Western-style breakfast was very good. The staff is very helpful and nice. Good location to travel around the old town in George Town. It's a good choice to stay in Penang.

The television in the room has limited channels. Parking is available but limited.

Loved the location of this hotel, close walk back into George Town, as was lovely to have the option of a pool after a long day of walking. Rooms were beautifully done up with old antique furniture 😍

Being such an old hotel, it is need of some.maintence, our room the long.room, dripping tap, window seal in bathroom rotting away, and a issue with shower but overall wonderful.

Hotel itself was quiet, location great for walking to any number of places to eat close by. Heritage type interior. Set options for breakfast; my choices I found quite nice. Staff were really pleasant; young guy on afternoon/evening shift was was incredibly helpful, lovely personality.

The ‘pool’ was more of a wading pool than a swimming pool. Hot water in the shower had a time limit of a few short minutes.

the room is hugee! love it. love the environment. the rooftop terrace will look awesome at night. convenient parking facilities. walking distance to nearby attractions; street art, food.

i suggest the hotel can opt for buffet breakfast just a basic continental breakfast. it will be much more worth with the price guest paid and will be convenient for guest as set style is time consuming. we reserve our breakfast set at 9am but when we come down, have to wait for 40 mnts for the food. so hotel can consider buffet style.

Really sorry the last night before an early start, guests were talking, laughing and doing Karaoke until midnight. Impossible to sleep. I thought the management should have asked them to stop at a reasonable time or go to the roof were there is a bar. It wasn’t until I went to management at midnight to complain did they eventually stop.

The property is very pretty and has that lovely nostalgic feel which I love. Beds were comfy and staff friendly. I wanted to eat at the venue this one particular dish but unfortunately everytime I asked about it they didn’t have it. I don’t eat breakfast so didn’t rytry that either and whilst the cakes looked incredible I didn’t try. Relieved it has a plunge kind of pool to cool off in, could do with some cushions on chairs and more chairs at other end, very small area but pleasant with outdoor showers. Location is excellent for exploring on foot Rooftop is lovely
