The room was spacious. I especially like the large table that was very useful for someone like me who travel for work and need to do a lot of paperwork. I also like the hotel policy of not providing bottled drinking water but instead provide a water dispenser machine just outside my room, how convenient. My room was without window, but still, it did not feel suffocated because the room was just so spacious.

The parking was very limited, probably less than 10 slots available for their private parking, and it was a first come first serve basis. The good thing that I usually away for work during office hour and hence I only need the parking lot after hour. Still, I need to park by the roadside which risk getting a ticket (if during office hour). If you need parking available throughout the day, I suggest you ready to search for parking elsewhere.

We have stayed there for 2 nights and everything was amazing. The hotel is really clean. Design of lobby was great. Room facilities were fine too. Special thanks to staff at the reception, who were always friendly! The bus stop was nearby. I think that this hotel is worth of visiting in Penang as for this price many options on Booking were kinda old.

Clean and comfortable. The location is pretty good. Walking distance to many places. There several good cafes and eateries close by, both local and international.

The front desk was great from start to finish, they even allowed us to have a late check-out! The room was very clean, and the bathroom was clean too and had hot water with good pressure for the entirety of our stay. It was close to all the action in Georgetown and we walked everywhere.

The people doing the cleaning are somehow on the corridors super early and make a lot of noise (we've been traveling for 4 months and we stayed next to mosques in Indonesia so we can handle morning noise), every morning we woke up at 6/7 and for the next few hours it was doors banging, cough like we've never heard before and phone noise... It also happens at night but we just put on headphones, the morning is the worst.

I recently stayed at The Journey Hotel, Penang, and was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The room was modern, minimalistic and very clean. The bed sheets and towels were fresh, and the bathroom was sparkling. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in housekeeping, everything was in place and the room smelled pleasant and well-aired. The shower had good water pressure and hot water, and toiletries were provided. Although the room is compact, it is very functional and well-maintained. The hotel provides basic amenities such as a kettle, hair dryer and bottled water. Wi-Fi was stable and fast and making it easy for me to get work done. The location is also convenient, just a short drive to George Town and nearby food spots. Parking is limited but manageable if you arrive early. Overall, The Journey Hotel is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a clean, quiet, and affordable place to stay in Penang. I would definitely return and recommend it to others!

We had a two-bedroom suite for 4 adults. Wish there was an option for 2 single beds per room but that is not the case. They can only have 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and the second bedroom with a double bed perhaps due to space constraint. Overall the beds and pillows were comfortable. Location is convenient because it's walking distance to good food!

At night, we could hear loud music probably from a nearby bar. The toilet has only one switch with light & ventilation fan together so you can't switch on the light without switching on the fan, which is rather loud for us. Wish there were bedside lamps or a nightlight.

I stayed in a family double bedroom—it was very spacious. The bathroom and toilet were comfortable, the air conditioning was cold, and the water pressure for showering was strong. Everything was clean, and the lighting was good. Overall, it was a great experience, from the staff service to the room itself. If you’re looking for food, there are several eateries nearby within walking distance.

However, parking was a bit challenging as it was limited. But it was okay—when we arrived, the receptionist helped us find a parking spot. I forgot to ask for the staff member’s name, but thank you! oh ya,,One more thing—I think the hotel could provide a fridge for the family room.

The staff was so friendly, parking was full when I arrived, but luckily I can park the car next to the hotel although need to pay parking until 6pm & luckily the next day is free - Sunday. Strategic area for walking attraction food & place - Nasi Kandar, Penang Bazar, Komtar, Hard Rock Cafe/Shop etc. The room space is just nice for two, but need to put something at the edge of the bed frame, we hit it few times, ouchhh. Avoid room near to lift coz its not quiet to your ears when its occupied.

This hotel is very near to so much makan place. You can just walk to Chowrasta Market. Just accross the hotel there is Halal Hokkien Mee Udang. Though it is just simple hotel the ambiance are good like an exclusive hotel. There are limited roof parking but luckily I manage to parked there even I reached the hotel at 9 pm. Although the building are just three floor but they provide lift.
