The room is clean and the location is strategic in the heart of Georgetown. Can just walk to Komtar and nearby shops

Need to change the toilet bowl. Its uncomfortable to sit. Maybe the design of the seat cover not suitable

The hotel was in a good location a short walk from George Town, and lots of restaurants and bars, as well as super close to both the ferry terminal and bus terminal. Nice clean room, comfy bed, decent shower. Enjoyed the rooftop bar

We stayed over Chinese new year, and because of this the restaurant was closed during our stay, which we weren't told about when we checked in. The water in the shower never got very cold, which was a shame when trying to cool down from the heat of the day.

The room was great with bespoke fixtures. Bed comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. The water pressure wasn't great though. The bath fixtures all had Le dream on it and looked very polished. They provided all the amenities like toothbrush and slippers but also included bathrobes which was a nice touch and handy if you wanted to use the jacuzzi on the rooftop. Only one was working whilst I was there and the water cold so I didn't bother. Other guests used it whilst I was there so it doesn't put off others. The view from the top isn't anything special but it's nice to have after a long day exploring. They serve alcoholic beverages in the rooftop bar from 7pm.

Room on 1st floor was noisy. Right next to staff room and at midnight a garbage collection system operated outside my window very loudly. There is a 100 ringit cash deposit that is mentioned anywhere in the booking.

The bed and pillows were great! Most of the time hotel mattresses and pillows are way too soft in my opinion, but they were nice and firm here resulting in good sleep and no back pain. Straightforwarded check-in and check-out process. Clean room. The laundry service worked well (within 24H, 10RM/kg).

The hotel wifi stopped working 1-2x a day, requiring you to reconnect. This was quite annoying as it would eat away at my limited data bundle when I didn't notice it stopped working. Some of the "boutique" things in the room were not that practical (e.g. the sink where the water didn't have a normal stream).

Very nice hotel. Clean. Beautiful bathroom with lots of shelves and hooks. Water gets plenty hot (though it's doesn't get cool if you want a cool shower, although this may be a general South East Asia problem). Big closet and a little desk and wooden chair. Fridge in cabinet with tea kettle, cups and glasses on top. Housekeeping was great. He even washed my personal coffee mug. Easy walking distance to markets and historic district. Just down the block from a huge mall complex. Fyi... George Town not as busy at night as other cities we've been to, at least not in this area. Many shops in the historic district started closing down after 8:00 p.m. so streets were fairly quiet with only a few people out walking by 9:00 p.m. Never felt threatened but as a general rule we didn't want to be out walking much past then as we've always felt more comfortable walking in the mix of open shops and evening crowds.

Bed, mattress, and pillows very firm. Bed against the wall so only one nightstand. The fridge felt hot on the outside, likely from being closed inside a non vented cabinet, but still worked fine ( We left the cabinet open a few inches to allow the heat to escape from the outside of the fridge).

Great great location. Walking distance (or short taxi ride) to most of the attractions. Great cafés around. Lobby smells amazing, no smell of humidity in the room. I loved the complimentary drink they offer especially after a hot day of city tour! AC worked very well (a big plus)

The bed was super firm. We don’t have back problem and had good sleep nevertheless, but people who prefer softer mattress might find it too firm. The shower cubicle only had glass at 1/2 of its length, so water would leak in the bathroom when we took shower. Sink leaked a little too. We put towels on the floor and it was ok. Housekeeping team was amazing and always made it super clean after.

Its easy to just leave a basic review, but it doesnt help others. Hopefully this will help. Just exceptional. Everything was exceptional. The way the staff handled questions. The location of the hotel. The room was clean, well stocked, clean, as was the lobby, elevator and everything else. My experience was that nothing was too much trouble. Location wise, it's walking distance to almost everything with the main bus station across the road. The male colleague (Navdeep i think his name is) who covers overnight was really so helpful and humble. Really a great asset to the establishment. I wish more places had a colleague like him. Really Thanks for making Penang a great stay for me.

The hotel’s location is fantastic — it’s just a short walk to a nearby Masjid, which was very convenient for prayers, and also close to a shopping mall, perfect for quick outings. The room was cozy and spacious, just what I needed for a comfortable stay. I was also really impressed by the hotel’s interior decor — stylish and thoughtfully designed, giving it a boutique charm. The amenities provided were also good, covering all the essentials for a comfortable stay.

Unfortunately, parking was a big issue. The hotel only has 2 free parking lots, which is very limited and inconvenient for guests driving in. The breakfast, while tasty, came with limited choices — no buffet, just set meals, which was a bit disappointing for those expecting a wider spread. The biggest downside was the toilet smell in the room, which was quite bad upon check-in. Housekeeping was responsive and came to clean it, but sadly, the smell returned not long after.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Georgetown. On the ground floor, there’s a Michelin-recommended restaurant offering top-notch food and exceptional service. Across the street, you’ll find Heritage Coffee, an excellent coffee spot, as well as a local market. This hotel could easily qualify as 4-star. It offers all the necessary amenities, including a lockbox, iron, laundry service, umbrellas, kettle, bottled water, and complimentary coffee, tea, shampoo, shower gel, shaving kit, and toothbrush kit. The cleaning service is also of a much higher standard than expected for a 3-star hotel. What truly sets this hotel apart is its professional yet friendly reception staff, particularly the senior receptionist with a PhD. He goes above and beyond to assist with any request, offering valuable insights about Penang. His genuine care for both the guests and the hotel is evident, treating it as if it were his own.

I would personally appreciate brighter lights in the bathroom. Rooftop bar is such an amazing spot but no one comes there because the prices are just too high with very limited offerings. I do not believe such place could be profitable. Introduce happy hours for beers at least and reduce the price to half in the evening. Also great would be to serve cocktails and mocktails there as it even has jacuzzi.

The bed was King Size and were super comfortable. The room and toilet was clean. Location was very strategic and within walking distance to many famous food spots (<1km).

On the 2nd day of my stay, 23/07/2022, I requested for 2 new bottles of water for our second day because I don't like to request for housekeeping. The girl didn't bother to acknowledge me standing there while her colleague immediately told me to direct the questions to him instead. I was told to refill my bottle with their coway machine because they don't provide new bottles of water unless you request for housekeeping. (seems like a pretty ridiculous house rule and I given the answer in a very unfriendly way although I was just enquiring - I don't think I am giving them a hard time by asking "Could I have 2 bottles of water please?"). Meanwhile, the boy who checked me in on 22/07/2022 had a way nicer attitude, polite and was more suited for customer service.
