It was my 2nd time staying at Rare Heritage House this year. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The beds were medium firm with a summer guilt and so comfy. The front of the hotel is on Lebuh Victoria but if you walk to the rear of the building, you're on the famous Beach Street near a lot of the more popular street art is.

Only 1 thing, both of my rooms had interior windows, so the rooms were a little dark and add in the blackout curtains, it was hard to see what time of day it was.

Comfortable beds and loved the decor in the rooms - so homey and great light if you have a room with a window looking out. Good shower pressure too and loved the large sink and tiling is really beautiful! The location is great walking distance too to different areas - little India close by and good cafes for coffee/breakfast/lunch. Also close to street art on Armenian street and 1st Avenue shopping centre.

There is construction going on at the moment so it’s a bit dusty in the hallways but this is temporary.

It was great to stay in a renovated/remodelled long house in Penang. Enjoyed the cultural history of this building. Our studio room with the loft bedroom was clean, comfortable & in good location for exploring George Town. It was handy having two street entrances, easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes & shops.The stairs were a bit of a challenge, but also did us a favour with helping to build up our legs for all the walking we did do.

We had dinner one night of our 5 night stay at the RARE Heritage House & the communication from the waiter was not good. It was a set menu, but his explanation of that was extremely confusing. It took a little bit of a shine off our dining experience. The food though was very nice & beautifully presented.

I love the ambience of the hotel, I interest with the restaurant also. I enjoy the room with its decoration that gave us jetty situation. The room was also have good facilities included iron and hair dryer, except the TV because channels is limited. The location is good because near to the jetty, kopitiam and armenian street.

At first, when we arrived and want to check-in, the recepsionist did not give us clear information about the room, I had to back and forth to find my room. Sometimes, I could hear people who walked away around the hallway, but it was minor.

I picked this hotel for its location and it did not disappoint. The heat made being close distance to center of Penang important and it was a perfect location. Near the center , lots of restaurants and cafes and the clan jetties. I also liked that it was an old colonial building restored. Initially my room was on the ground floor and it was very small, had a leaking hose in bathroom and near the kitchen I had seem some bugs, although the kitchen did look clean when I looked in. I asked to be moved to a different room. They moved me upstairs to 2nd floor and it was much roomier and with more sunlight and I was happy with that. The air conditioner and Wifi worked well too and it was nice having a small fridge.

Love every bit of this hotel from the design to everything. I chose the duplex type and not regret at all. The bed and pillows are comfortable, had a good sleep. The cleanliness are at the top, kudos to the housekeeping team. A guy staff (night shift i guess) was quite friendly and he helped me in terms of the luggage transfer and also the parking lot. He also assist in whatever we requested to. Thanks to him. Will come back to stay in here again next time.

Just need to service the air cond at the loft area as it aint cold like the below one

Location: Hotel is conveniently located in Penang and very near good cafés so you're always within reach for your caffeine fix. Room: Room is spacious and the bed is comfortable Design: Lighting in the room is a bit dark but overall, the hotel is well designed.

Staff Availability: There were no staff around when we tried to check in at 2pm so we had to go for lunch with our luggages TV: TV offers local channel and will be better if it has access to YouTube or allow us to cast from our phones.

My room is on the 2nd floor. There were comfortable and proper space to stay for 3 night. Nice and helpful staff. and feel safe during my stayed. The location was great if you have own some transportation but not that far for food and various café. Worth it!

I love the family room so much .Very spacious room , clean , cozy and beautiful . Your room is so good compared to other hotels .And the facilities are all perfectly fine and complete.This place is convenient and easy access to an Armenian Street by walking distance .I will definitely come here again for my next vacations in Penang .

Charming little hotel with complete amenities and perfect location in Georgetown. My room was just as pictured here, and it's right next to the backdoor so I had easy access to Victoria street (might not be convenient for light sleepers because people are going in and out). I found a great breakfast place that I kept coming back to, just 2 mins away from the hotel (Loong Fong Cafe).
