This hotel is one of the best we’ve ever stayed at. On a sweltering day, we were warmly welcomed by the very lovely Didi and a most helpful concierge. We were given cold towels and a refreshing drink, both of which were greatly appreciated. The check in process was smooth and friendly. We loved our beautifully furnished room with its comfortable bed and exquisite bathroom. The range of complimentary drinks, snacks and toiletries was exceptional and this was a very welcome extra; it really made a difference. The free, accessible nearby parking was very helpful, as was the free WiFi. Proximity to the centre of the town was very convenient. The breakfast was wide ranging, delicious and beautifully served. We checked out reluctantly. We would have loved to have stayed longer. We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We will be back!

Location is just fantastic, 2 mins to Jonker Street and walk 10mins to river and red church. Can park at the back of the hotel for free. The interior design is very unique and has characteristics of the local culture and history and they provide good quality shampoo, shower gel and also snacks and some local can drinks!! I liked the complimentary coffee and tea from the cafe, they tasted good and it’s quite relaxing sitting at the yard , where nice decoration and natural light and also air conditioned. The staff are friendly and always smiled at us.

Breakfast can be better. Shower hot water temperature not stable and it turns to room temperature after about 10mins. It’s not cold given it’s always summer but I would prefer to have hot water.

Liu Men Hotel was a fantastic place to stay. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved how the design managed to be modern while keeping the beautiful traditional Nyonya style, it gave the place so much charm. The service was excellent, and the staff were polite and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the location is perfect! It’s within walking distance to all the main tourist spots like Jonker Street, the Melaka River, and the Red House. A great mix of comfort, heritage, and convenience!

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. The noodles and kuih didn’t quite live up to the usual standards, especially considering the hotel is surrounded by so many fantastic restaurants serving amazing local Nyonya food. The gap in quality was noticeable and could be improved to better represent the local culinary experience.

Liu Men Hotel is truly a beautiful and unique boutique hotel that exceeded all expectations. Strategically located within walking distance to many attractions, it’s the perfect base to explore the charming streets of Melaka. The hotel itself is full of character — every detail of the décor and ambience is thoughtfully curated, blending heritage with modern comfort. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere and tasteful design. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and elegant stay in Melaka!

Well located, away from the madding crowd only footsteps away along a street of interesting worships. Beautifully and elegantly decorated. There is hidden gem of a discerning bar , Pinto No 6 , next door that serves world class cocktails. A restaurant across the road that serves excellent Iberico pork dishes. Excellent service from front desk & porter.

Nothing although the housekeeping didn’t understand to retreat ( for room cleaning) when we were in the room. This is a minor detail but I’d like to mention that due to local beverages that use evaporated/sweetened condensed milk, staff may need to inform guests and be informed about these and fresh milk usage.

When we drove through Melaka towards the hotel, we weren't sure what we would be getting but oh my God - what an amazing hotel! One of my favourites in Malaysia As soon as you walk through the doors, you are met with cool air and a lovely scent. The hotel's look is so classy and the staff were amazing - friendly, kind and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything you could need with complementary drinks. The breakfast in the morning had several options and was delicious. I wish I'd booked to stay longer than one night!

It was located in an ideal location. It was very bespoke and beautiful with so much attention to detail. The staff were unreal, and so helpful in every possible way. The breakfast was delightful. They had so many wonderful sweet things for her guests to enjoy in the room. We particularly loved the history of the building as well.

Hard not to like everything about the property. We did note that as all the rooms open up to the beautiful small courtyard for meals are served that you could hear the dishes being cleared and set up for the next morning later into the evening. It could bother people if they were trying to sleep and was super light sleepers. Nothing a fan couldn’t help with though.

After booking, we receive a WhatsApp message from the hotel about the hotel booking and what to look forward on the day of arrival, instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I also like the location because it was very near to the Jonker street night market, so convenient and service provided by the staff was excellent. The room was clean and neat and there were complimentary snacks and drinks for the hotel guests. It was near to perfection in all aspects.

The tv in the room was a bad experience to deal with, they had the Astro streaming service but it seems it was not working at all, even normal tv shows can’t be watched. Try to troubleshoot and waiting for it to load the shows and I gave up on it, decided to head to bed to sleep

Nothing to dislike about the property, however the following are my sincere comments: However, food was a tad bit hit-&-miss. But the good news is that our gentle feedback about food quality was received very positively by hotel staff. In fact, the hotel informed me that it is in the midst of improving quality and updating their menu. Our spacious suite was beautifully appointed, but it does lack wardrobe space.

The hotel was everything that I expected and more. From the moment you walk to it, it quickly transports you back to an era of the past back to the collonisation days. The hotel retains much of its charm and when you walk in it makes you feel like you are in a movie set. Couldn't have stayed in a better hotel and more charming hotel if I tried. Will definitely want to come back and experience more of this fantastic hotel and highly highly recommend. Its central location also means that you are near everything that you need.
