The hotel is in a good location and has its own parking lot. The staff is also nice. The male staff who was still on duty at 6 o'clock on 29/1/2025 was very nice. It's just that the quality of tourists is not very high. They walked loudly and dragged the chairs during the rest time at night. After complaining at night, they came again at more than 7 o'clock in the morning. And we have to drive a long distance to go home.

The sound insulation between the upper and lower rooms is too poor. If the upstairs people walk vigorously, the people downstairs will not be able to rest.

Staff are very friendly and considerate and arranged a room without bathtub for our elderly parents. Rooms are of a good size, comfortable and clean and complimentary bottled water is provided. We liked the gated outdoor parking at the back, and of course the location is unbeatable, right on Jonker st.

There is no elevator, which wasn’t a problem for us but good to note for those with elderly or young children. We were on the second floor and there was a smell of cigarette smoke one afternoon. We weren’t able to figure out where it came from, but we did inform the reception and it cleared up eventually.

Well, the room is fairly maintained for a boutique hotel. Basically everything works just fine. The location is just excellent. Very convenient. Jonker Street just at your doorstep. Shopping and food abundant. You cna't go wrong for convenience sake. Just walk around.

It will get on your nerves during Friday till Sunday night. There are street stage performance right in front of the hotel. Not for light sleepers for sure. Stage performance and singing will keep you awake till around 2300-2330 hours. Suggest to walk around till then. The worse part are those wannabes crooners who takes over the mic singing to their heart contents and, allow me to add, out of tune too. With friends clapping and cheering him on does not make the situation any better, but worse.

It was our last day in Malaysia. Next stop the airport. We had a very late flight that night. We didn't need to leave the hotel in a hurry. During a conversation with the manager when we were inquiring how late could we check out and our explanation, he told us that he was in a position that day to let us keep the room and not check out until 4:00 p.m. I thought that was very kind. We traveled to the hotel by car. The Hotel has a large car park around the back. Again this was impressive particularly when considering the central location of the hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel. I can't leave without saying how kind and helpful the staff were. Full marks to them.

If like us you drive to this hotel, don't attempt to find this car park. You won't succeed. Park where you can nearby. Go to the hotel reception. They will show you the car park. Then walk from the car park back to your car. Although I have written this under the didn't like section, it's not really a dislike it's more a word of advice.

This hotel is lovely, charming, and authentic, it resembles a heritage house of a wealthy Chinese family and it blends beautifully with the atmosphere of the city. Most importantly, it is positioned amazingly. It is straight on Jonker Street, the main commercial street of the historical center so everything is at your doorstep. All the coffee shops, breakfast places, restaurants, and sights, including the night market, are right there. At the same time, the room was very peaceful, comfortable, and charming. The bathroom was comfortable, the shower section was big and lovely. We had enough towels, tea, and coffee bags, and a mini fridge, and all the amenities were great. We particularly appreciated the fact that there was parking belonging to the hotel. The staff was kind, friendly, obliging and helpful. We recommend this hotel to everyone.

There is no lift in the hotel, but we were helped by the staff with our luggage, so that was fine.

Everything was great from the private parking to the room deco and staffs. The design interior was classy enough in maintaining the cultural look with modern take. Would definitely return because where else to get tub with these prices.

I wish each room has more pictures shown on here. Also prefer if the hotel would inform earlier about back route for car once they closed main road for weekend night market. The lighting was too yellowish and dim, hard to take proper pics

Wow! Amazing location! Great facilities. Very affordable, especially for a family of 5. We highly recommend this hotel stay and would definitely book again ☺️

Only negative was the hot water was way too hot 🤣 (is that even a real complaint)! But once we used the shower once and realised, we turned the tap temperature down low. Just don’t let your kids turn the shower on un assisted. Otherwise, it was lovely to have hot water after several stays with luke warm to cold water at other places.

This hotel is perfectly located for the Jonker night market as it is on the street where the market is held in the middle of Chinatown. I was worried therefore about it being noisy so I requested a quiet room, and we were given one at the back of the hotel which was very quiet. The room and bathroom were very spacious with 2 big double beds. It had air-con and a fan and a fridge, kettle etc.

Nothing, it isn't the most luxurious room I've ever stayed in but it was perfectly good for one night.

I first stayed in Jonker Boutique Hotel about 9-10 years ago. I was wowed by its design, the cleanliness and its friendly staff. But the place feels a little dated since my last visit about 5 years ago. The place is still clean and well-maintained, but many lights are dim, likely due to the old age of the bulbs. It was difficult to read in the room before bedtime. The power sockets and switches could also be updated and placed in better positions as travellers' needs have evolved.

Location, location, location. The best things about this hotel is the location (Jonker Street, food, easy access to the hotel). The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are showing age. Towels and sheets might be clean but look old. Be informed that you might be assigned rooms on 2nd floor (up 2 levels), might be a problem if you have a lot of hard heavy luggage as there is no lift and the stairs are narrow, being a heritage building.
