Magical, dreamy, incredible!! Luxurious rooms and such a well run resort. I can really see how it got Michelin Stars. The staff were incredibly friendly especially Margo, Roberto and Diana. They make you feel as if you are part of the family the minute you arrive. So attentive to your every need. The restaurant had some of the best food we had eaten in Mexico. A husband and wife run kitchen and locally sourced organic produce from their local farm. Absolutely superb! Our favorite was catch of the day and the steak. The architecture of this resort is so unique we just couldn’t stop taking pictures of it. Steps from the beach we enjoyed a private sunset dinner and horse riding! We hope to come back soon.

Casona Sforza is amazing, don't hesitate to book! The hotel and rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the food is seriously top-notch. We looked forward to having all of our meals there during our stay.

only complaint was that there were a lot of folks on work calls in the shared spaces (some without headphones), which was off-putting since the shared spaces (bar) are really quite limited and we paid a lot to stay there and relax. the rooms are really spacious with desks so this feels like something the hotel could be more mindful of discouraging when you check in and they walk you through the hotel policies

The location is excellent, and you have the beach in front almost completely by yourself (but no swimming due to the current). The room was superb; the bed was super comfy, and the view was stunning. The staff were great and always made sure we stayed hydrated by serving us water whenever we came down to the pool or bar. They also served us lunch by the beach, which was great. The food in the restaurants was really good, especially the ceviche. Great and fast wifi in the restaurant/pool area.

The restaurant menu was a bit small; we only stayed two days, so it was not an issue for us, but staying longer will definitely be repetitive. The pressure in the shower was not the strongest, and the wifi was weak in the room.

- outstanding and unique architecture, open spaces and proximity to the pacific - rooms were spacious and the hotel size means it is quite intimate and you don’t have to fight for long chairs at the pool

- the design of the room (arcades) amplifies the surrounding noises especially as the front and back walls are wooden and don’t isolate any sounds - the hotel is quite remote with a very bumpy road. Next restaurants are 15-20 minutes by taxi - the staff was very nice and friendly but they didn’t match the standards we expected for this price

Everything was perfect! The food in the restaurant is delicious at any time of the day! All the staff are super friendly and professional specially both waiters Fernando and Maria which were extra attentive and helpful during all of our stay! I highly recommend you stay at this beautiful hotel for a relaxing and pampering experience! Thank you again for the whole team

Design, location, staff, only 11 rooms so makes it very relaxing

Food was good, but would have preferred more Mexican inspired options. About 3/4 of the menu were Italian or international dishes. Had some issues with the warm water, some minor nuisances with the design of the doors making them hard to open and close. Staff is super helpful, but only available 8am -10pm, which could be a problem. The beach, like many in the area, is too rough for swimming most of the time.

I loved staying in the suite comfortable bed the brightness the hot tub a plus. The restaurant dishes were amazing. The staff amazing. This is definitely a place to relax and disconnect and enjoy your spouse or significant other.

The only thing I would suggest would be to add more Oaxacan food like mole, Chiles rellenos.

Breathtaking. The design and architecture of Casona Sforza is incredible. As soon as we arrived onto the parking lot, we were completely overwhelmed by the tranquility and beauty of the space. Located on the beach, the location is remote and away from the crowds and buzz of Puerto Escondido (and from my understanding, it's a short drive or taxi to those areas if you want). Casona Sforza is one of the most beautiful properties we have experienced in the world. We stayed three nights and never left the property so we could engage, interact and experience with the property. Why would you want to leave? The complimentary continental breakfast was extremely fresh and the lunch and dinner options were fantastic. We stuck to the seafood and mexican options. We highly recommend the ceviche, shrimp tostadas, and caprese salad. The premises and facilities are wonderful. The pool is lovely and we spent our days lazing by the pool. Unfortunately, the ocean is off limits for swimming due the strong waves and currents. The hotel also offers tours, in-room massages and I heard something about a yoga class (we didn't participate in any of them). The A/C and the fan in the room was more than adequate, and keep the room cool and comfortable at night. For those who are digital nomads, the WIFI was spotty. But we were able to stream movies during the evening. We expected to encounter connectivity issues, having done our research prior. Staff were extremely welcoming, professional and always delivered a very high level of customer service. We had no problems getting what we needed. Insider tip - For those that want to engage with the space, Casona Sforza offers day passes so visitors can enjoy the facilities and restaurant/bar. Highly recommended and would definitely stay at Casona Sforza again.

The location and seclusion on the beach. Not too far from town. Staff were great, the food and drinks exceptional. The landscaping and pool area, architecture and layout is very relaxing

The access in and out of the property is a little challenging, the road is not developed, so its a very slow process. The room was nicely laid out, however the bed was not very comfortable. Too soft and uneven

The property is quite stunning, the rooms are spacious and nice, and the coffee is really great! The common areas are very nice and with a lot of spaces, so it never feels crowded.

The prices are high compared to other similar hotels, the food is good but not everything is great (breakfast is quite meh), the drink menu could be improved.
