The woman at the reception is very nice. The room is clean and cozy, breakfast is great!

The location is very difficult to reach, and Google maps position is not correct. We recommend contacting the host in advance for better directions

Fantastic Riad. Not as luxe as some, it is the best value. The rooms are excellent and the mattresses are very comfortable. It is quiet. The staff is the best we've experienced in Morocco. Anwar was so incredibly helpful and went out of his way to provide excellent customer service, he is a real asset to the Riad. Another guest and I thought his name should be "super Anwar". All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Marrakech

We had a lovely time in Riad la Medersa! We had a family trip, with our two kids: an 8 years old and an 3 years old. Unfortunately, on arrival, our youngest kid was with a childhood virus, with vomiting and fever. The riad staff  (Bahija, Laila, Saida and the young man whose name I can’t remember) were incredible and tireless, doing everything possible to make our child feel better. We truly appreciate all their efforts to make us feel like we were at home and that they were there for us. Our/their efforts paid off, and on the next day our kid was feeling better, and we were able to enjoy Marrakech! Riad la Medersa is located at a very central place and you can walk from there to the main city attractions and restaurants. The rooms are wonderful and spacious and there is a top floor where the breakfast is served (if weather allows it) that is really, really nice! Breakfast was a real treat both for adults and kids!! They also can cook homemade local meals (for lunch) such as Moroccan chicken/beef tagine and cous cous. We Totally recommend Riad la Medersa! Great people and place! Some people in the reviews complain about the access: it is a bit complicated, so for the arrival it is best to get the guide from the hotel, but we didn't find it scary at all. On the contrary, we appreciated that it is located in a relatively quiet part of Medina. We were the only guests and we were offered the upgrade of the room, which was great, because the room we booked initally would have been a bit claustrofobic for 5 nights stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Great value for money.

The breakfast was amazing and staff were attentive. We ordered lunch (lamb Tagine) one day and it was excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean. There is also a nice terrace on the roof to relax. It is secluded and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. We arrived at night and arranged with the Riad to be picked up as we read it the location was hard to find on your own - I’m glad we did this. The Riad is easy to find once you have spent a couple days in Marrakesh, but on Day 1 it can be confusing.

Mysterious and beautiful little Riad in an incredibly unique location. I was the only person staying there which made for a slightly bizarre experience but Halima can speak excellent English and made me feel very welcome. A driver collected me from the airport and then the girls from the Riad showed me the way to the building for the first time which was most welcome as at first it appears difficult to find. It is in fact not difficult to find and is an extremely good location. It's also incredibly quiet at night and my bed was very comfortable. Breakfast on the roof terrace is a delight. All thanks go to Halima though for her friendly charm!

The only thing I would have liked a front door key and I would have liked to have seen a bit more interaction with the owners or managers of the property.

Amazing and helpful staff. Room was perfect for the price, an absolute bargain and a lovely breakfast in the morning made the stay (once at the property) wonderful.

The location is in a barely accessible series of alleyways. Neither Google Maps nor Booking.com directions take you down the right way. We were arriving in the evening and it made the 45 mins circling the place and going through dark alleyways quite uncomfortable. I think the main way to enter was closed for works, but some information NEEDED to be provided about how to access the property. Other than that, the place was wonderful!

We had a great stay, the breakfast was exceptional and they were very accommodating when we explained we don’t eat eggs or milk. The riad was in a great location but I would echo what other guests said about booking a taxi with the hotel for when you arrive so they can guide you there. The room was clean and comfortable.

I think it was just in our room (twin room) that the toilet didn’t have a door but a curtain instead.

Riad La Mederesa was very aesthetically decorated in a Moroccan style, the staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. Everything with a smile on their lips. We were greeted with cookies and local tea. The room was quiet, clean and pleasantly decorated according to the local architecture. We felt hosted at the highest level. There were no problems with anything. Only getting to Riad is a tourist adventure but only the first time. Nevertheless, help is offered every time in this regard if someone could not get there. Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious. A large selection of unique local pancakes, desserts and spreads. Plus delicious mint tea, something hot and freshly squeezed juice. You can't get a better deal. We recommend wholeheartedly!

The property was very difficult to find at the first time and also at night. You go through narrow and dark alleyway and tunnels like. But once you get used to it you find it interesting and fun. It is also very quiet, a place where you can sleep. The girls working in the property are nice and helpful.

The room was very small, so small that it had not space for suitcases. No place for hanging clothing, however it had a bulky piece of decorative furniture instead of a functional one. Same breakfast everyday and focused on sugars and carbohydrates.
