Absolute perfect hotel whether you’re staying in Amsterdam for a short or long trip. It is in a quiet enough area (so you can sleep peacefully) but is close to everything you need! Room was perfect + the bathroom had great lighting (for the ladies doing their makeup) and the bed was extremely comfortable :) Would happily stay in this hotel again!!

This didn’t bother us as we were only there for 3 nights but if you have an iPhone it won’t connect to the tv to watch Netflix etc. as it only works with android.

Great location and good price for a hotel with a private in-room full bathroom. Hotel was well decorated, clean, and provided professional service.

Room lighting was poor. Dark with lack of natural light, and ceiling lights were bright and pointed in your face/view with low ceiling. No where to put your suitcase but the floor, which we hadn't experienced at the four other European hotels this trip. I would still book there again, but these are the issues for them to address to make the experience more desirable.

Good location and reasonably comfortable.

For the high cost of staying there were a number of irritating things about this hotel.Breakfast was not included and for 3 people would have been expensive over five nights. Our room had to be accessed by using two lifts in different locations. There was no wardrobe at all only a few hangers for clothes.Great shower but no way you could set up the shower head to a suitable height and the shower gel etc was the other of the shower. The air conditioning was difficult to use and not very effective and for the most time was either too warm or too cold.

Facility interior nice and unique. Amazing lighting to the room and good views. Room size is fairly good compared to Europe hotels. I requested to open the windows and they did which made a big difference and was huge advantage. < make sure that your room have this because they mentioned not all windows could open. Gave me two complementary drinks on my fourth day which I appreciated.

During my 7-day (6-night) stay, I found the room cleaning service to be quite basic, with no thorough or deep cleaning provided. The bathroom was only deep cleaned once, and that was after I specifically requested it. Additionally, despite my extended stay and having paid in advance, I requested just a one-hour extension for checkout due to a delayed taxi. Unfortunately, the response was rather abrupt and lacked courtesy. I was initially told that, due to full occupancy, the extension was not possible, but then advised I could pay for it—this message was somewhat unclear and felt unaccommodating. Lastly, the room did not include any complimentary water, which is a small but important touch that could be improved.

The location was perfect… right at the train station and in Old Town. Staff wonderfully helpful and friendly. We felt right at home! Best hotel breakfast we have ever had! Room clean and comfy.

The floors of this old building are really “thin” = you hear walking above you. If you are a light sleeper like me, this is a problem. I mentioned to staff to please tell new people above us to be extra quiet walking and they happily did that and the new arrivals were quiet. I was happy about that, but not real comfortable having to request. I requested top floor on our return visit at end of trip and they said yes without any issue.

Can't imagine a better small-hotel experience in city center. Lovely Asian vibe, a nod to nearby Chinatown. Comfortable, very clean, welcoming, generous and tasty breakfast buffet with custom option, helpful staff, pleasant and relaxing room, comfortable bedding. Stayed here four nights and every time enjoyed walking through the doors from the street and into peace. Great location, walking distance to all the top sights but felt like it was off the beaten path along a quiet canal road. The main train station is a quick 7 min. walk away. Highly recommended.

Location of Mai Hotel was good. Close to train station and within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and public transport. Our room was quite large, however, hanging space/wardrobe storage was limited/non-existant. Lovely view of a canal from the room. Staff were friendly enough.

Situated on a narrow, cobbled street. Had to be extremely alert constantly as cars, bikes were continually approaching. Had to use two separate lifts to get to our room as it was located in a different building to reception/main lobby area.

This hotel a perfect all in one package with a fair price tag. The location of the hotel is perfect for discovering the city, as all sightseeing spots can easily be reached by foot or by tram, bus, ferry or metro from the central station that is only a 5-7 minute walk away from the hotel. There is even a metro exit 2 minutes from the hotel, from where you can get to the station all underground, which is very convenient especially when it‘s a rainy day. The hotel has a boutique hotel flair, with clean and spacious rooms (for Amsterdam). The elevators are very quiet and the view on the canal is lovely (if you book a canal view room). Plenty of food options around the hotel, so we opted for eating breakfast outside.

The family love, loved, LOVED this hotel! Quirky, clean, cold rooms, great hang-out area downstairs & the staff was so friendly & helpful. The beds were comfy, and the rooms were spacious. So close to the train station!!

Didn't love walking outside to the street where bikes tended to use the road as the thoroughfare. It's next to or at the edge of the crowded red light district & a street on the other side of the canal was under construction, so I do think this road had extra locals biking. There isn't much of a sidewalk, making it treacherous for people & bikes. The shower ceiling had some mold, and with the dim lighting in there, it was a bit creepy.
