What a great little surprise! The motel units were fully booked on the nights we wanted so my sister and I booked the 2 bedroom house. We were planning a surprise family birthday for my 82 year old Dad. After our planned location fell through the hosts were gracious enough to allow us to hold the lunch within the house. It was surprisingly spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining table and comfortable lounge area - just perfect! The house is on the main road into Kaiapoi but set back from the road so noise is not an issue. The house is easily heated with a heat pump and heaters within each bedroom. We stayed during winter and even though it is an older house it remained toasty warm. We enjoyed watching the All Blacks test thanks to Sky TV being available and slept peacefully in the comfortable beds. We have no hesitation in recommended this house. It's awesome!

The bathroom was very clean but has a shower over the bath. This didn't worry us but may not suit everyone.

Perfect location for wedding we attended in Kaiapoi. A short(ish) walk to lovely shops, cafes & bars. House is slightly away from the motel units so nice and quiet even though on the main street of Kaiapoi. Good UBER rides if required.

Shower is very low on the wall, not so easy to wash your hair if you are tall. Otherwise, a lovely place, lovely owners, suited all our needs.

Clean and well appointed, good facilities.

The only negative for this property was the managers abrupt manner and when approached for services (towels/toilet paper) he made us feel like it was an inconvenience, which was disappointing.

Bed was very comfortable! Had everything you need and a bit more, including a torch!

Maintenance is needed. Carpets starting to wear, blind on skylight clogged up and would not close. Skylights had bird poo and moss on the outside of them.

It was well appointed and looked near new - as did everything in it. It was spotlessly clean. I liked the way that recyclables were separated from non recyclables in the rubbish collections. Sensitivity to environmental needs is important to me.

Friendly staff. Accommodating to our late check in. House was immaculate. Had all the amenities needed and plenty space. Close to Kaiapoi town and everything we needed.

No meals available at Motel, but plenty of cafes. The room itself was very comfortable with well equipped kitchenette. Spotlessly clean

The bed was so comfy. I have back issues and I managed to sleep all night and woke up ready y to go.

The place is clean and there’s heaps of towels. Good kitchen too.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom house and the wifi is not reaching enough, the signal is not that great.

Central- could walk to the city centre . Were late arriving due to travel time and the unit was warm and cosy for our arrival 😊😊
