The Abbella Lodge Motel was perfect for our family stay. The accommodation was comfortable, and the staff were great - around when needed and in the background, but contactable, when not. The location was perfect - a relatively short drive from the airport, a bus stop with regular buses into the city centre right outside, and with the added bonus of a large supermarket across the road. Would definitely recommend and return for another stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Abella Lodge Motel. It was sparkling clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The facilities were excellent, with a baby cot and a well-equipped kitchen that allowed us to prepare simple meals for our 18-month-old, making it ideal for families. Highly recommend for a comfortable and family-friendly stay!

The apartment was quite modern, good size and well-furnished. It had all essentials, including a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Especially, we liked the bathroom, which was quite luxury, with a nice spa bath, gorgeous scents and a beauty set. The bedrooms were good size and cosy with comfy beds. The staff were kind and welcoming and the location was OK.

There wasn't anything we didn't really like.

The location was great, along the main road which makes it very convenient. Unfortunately, there was also a lot of ongoing construction work around the motel. Traffic in the morning is heavy for this area of Christchurch, must allocate more time for travel.

The male host (I believe his name was Mark) at the property could have been more welcoming during check-in. He appears to be having a bad day during check-in and was making comments that were half-sarcastic when we said that we were visiting family but preferred to stay in our own place.

The room was cleaned to the highest standard we have seen. Beds were comfy and great location. Good high pressure shower.

The internet and therefore TV connection was very laggy and slow, we did like that the room included Netflix but the internet made it so laggy we couldn't load anything and used our own data. Also would like a range of pillow options in a room, some more firm and some thinner to cater for different peoples preferences.

Room was spacious and well appointed, layout was good. It was clean and well were very comfortable. Would def book again!

One car park per unit is fine unless you end up with no 3. It is very tight between the stairs and the next car but I don’t know how they could fix that

I’m sad I didn’t know this place earlier. It’s great value for money, very clean and the room we stayed in was big and quiet once the windows were closed. It has everything you need for a short stay and we will surely be back. It’s quite convenient that it’s in front of Pakn’ save.

Location was excellent, walking distance from mall, block of restaurants with cobb and co, thai, gengys, burgers, chicken, pub etc and a packnsave supermarket literally across the road. Seemed to have plenty of car parking. The staff were really friendly.

Our 3rd stay at this lovely motel. We always enjoy our time Abbella Lodge Motels. Always very clean and very well equipped. Made to feel very welcome every time by the exceptional hosts. Thank you and look forward to our next visit.

No complaints at all.

The owners of the motel were exceptional with very friendly service. They went above and beyond for us with something we needed help with. Couldn't fault them. The room was perfect for what we needed, somewhere clean and comfy to stay. We didn't need to use the cooker, but this was a nice touch in the room as most usually just have a microwave if you're lucky.
