We always stay at the Redwood when we drive to Christchurch. It is on the way in to the city, but not right in it. I appreciated the free water, as we had been on the road for 11 hours. I was thrilled when we were stranded in Tekapo that they transferred our booking to the next night so easily and professionally. I was contacted with a lock box number as we didn't get in till late, and the heater had been turned on so our room was lovely and warm.

As we got in late I missed my free drink at the bar and a lovely dinner at the restaurant.

The room was great for the price, checking in and out was super easy and it was a comfortable place to spend a night. I also appreciated the free drink vouchers. The hot chocolate packets were also tasty! Room was small but had everything I needed.

Could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom area - mainly the drain covers had a build up on them but honestly didn't bother me that much. Everything else was clean and tidy.

Beds were very comfy. Linen was nice and so were pillows. Room was big, with plenty of room to move about. Lots of extra bedding available. Portacot was in the room as requested, and there was lots of bedding for baby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Shower was good. Restaurant/Bar had great pizza. Access to a full kitchen was fantastic.

Wifi connection was terrible for us.

This place looks very modest from the outside, but we were absolutely delighted when we entered our room, it was exactly what we wanted. A nice family suite with single beds in one room for the kids and a nice queen size bed for the parents. Everything was nice and tidy and in good order, despite some of the fittings, i.e. the bathroom being very old (circa 1970s) it was very tidy and clean and in good order. There was a TV in each room which kept everyone happy.

Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was not too far from the city with a rental car. Kitchenette was a little small but there is a common kitchen that we had access to so that was not a problem. Heaters in rooms, lovely and warm.

Great location, comfortable bed, Great facilities on site at motel e.g. shared full kitchen/laundry if needed, motel room had everything needed for me though. Quiet and peaceful, garden views were lovely too. Staff were excellent, and helpful with my late check in too.

The room is large enough to allow us to spread out 5 suitcases at a time, which is convenient for family packing! It is suitable for accommodation before departure to the airport, but it is more convenient to have a car as a means of transportation

The laundry room equipment is very new, but I don't know why some rags are placed in the washing machine. There is only one washing machine and dryer, but no other occupants use it. We are lucky! The laundry room is very convenient for our family travel.

A great place for a decent price. We booked the family room which was spacious, warm, and cosy. Parking was possible right outside the room. There were two rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 4 singles. Each bed had a heated blanket which made for a very comfortable sleep. The location was quiet and close to a few restaurants and bars, and our stay included two drink vouchers from the bar. We were provided with tea, coffee, milk, and a small kitchenette. The bathroom had soap and shampoo, as well as towels for each guest.

Nothing major, but the place was a bit tricky to find, as there aren't any large boards or signs but overall, not too much of a hassle. The other downside is that the family room only has one bathroom, which might make things difficult if you're in a hurry.

Loved how they gave u fresh towels, loved how u they topped up coffee, tea, station with complimentary chips, water and biscuits.

The shower, the shower was terrible and my girls could not wash their hair or their bodies due to the water pressure, only part of our stay that was disappointing.

Receptionist was outstanding, upgraded me to a room with a full sized bath & shower , plenty of hot water & great pressure.

Tv wasn’t working in my room, wanted to watch the Cricket 🏏, but the lovely Receptionist transferred me to another even better room, no extra charge.
