This place is just amazing to stay at for the entire week. This is the third time I stayed there and each time you feel welcome. What I especially liked this time is that they knew when I was arriving and had the heat pump on. It was so cold during the night (below zero) but the room was so warm. We stayed in the penthouse, and it was nice watching the ocean on the balcony. Room was spotless, had everything you needed, some many outlets for the plugs (I was filming sports games) so I need plugs for recharging packs and there was always a spare plug/outlet. Wifi was faster on the laptop than the iPads (150Mbps upload and download and I had to upload 50 GB files everyday and no issues). It really is the care and attention of the staff from the cleanness, helpfulness friendliness, attention to detail that was excellent

The car park is always a little tight if you have a very big SUV, which we did but it just meant more attention to parking than normal

From the welcome, to the room itself, this was one of/if not the top place we have stayed by far. The welcome was genuinely warm, we were not only shown to our room but the amenities were explained, nothing was too much trouble & it was not over the top at all. The room was spotlessly clean, immaculately presented, every attention to detail was covered. Even when the room was serviced, it was left exactly as it had been on arrival. We have worked in hospo ourselves and travelled a lot, this is how it should be done, just superb.

A Nespresso machine in the Penthouse rooms would be nice. Not a complaint but seemed a waste to leave the lights on during the day following the servicing of the room.

The owner is very friendly, and helped us with our queries even at night. Responsive to help messages even before the trip too. The room is extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. There is even a room spa bathtub, something which many facilities do not have. The location is very near the sea, which is of a very beautiful view. It is also about 5 mins away from town which has different shops and eateries. Very convenient to get food.

Wifi connection signal could be stronger, but other than that there is nothing I don't like. The facility is really good. :)

Room was huge and very well appointed with a sofa and two chairs along with small table and chairs. It also had an extra room with twin bed that we didn't need. Our room was located upstairs and I wouldn't say it had a good view but you could see the coast across the street. The hotel staff was excellent and very helpful. It was within walking distance to downtown area and restaurants. In March the area is pretty quiet and easy to find parking.

Location was excellent - across the road was the beach and up the road was the art deco centre. A warm welcome and our rooms were perfect - spotlessly clean and all the facilities we wanted. Air conditioning was efficient and shower was very powerful. Spa bath was huge! Our wine tour guide said in his opinion they were the best apartments in the road and there were a good number!

Everything was perfect for us!

Everything was absolutely lovely, the bed was so comfortable I struggled to get up every morning. The deep spa bath in the room where you can enjoy a nice soak and watch a movie with a glass of wine. The host made the stay extra lovely, she is beautiful and so welcoming. I said housekeeping wasn't really needed as we were there for a couple days, but she made sure we had a fresh bed and towels to come back to every day.

The parking is limited as stated and a little bit tight but that was absolutely no issue at all as there are parks right outside on the path.

Fantastic and friendly staff. Room was super clean and was warm and cosy given it was 1 degree outside during the nights. Spectacular views of the beach and walking distance to a lot of things. We were there for a week and you got to appreciate the room size and layout more each day. Showers was good, never seem to run out of hot water, as there was a big spa bath. Wifi was pretty fast (10-50Mbps both upload and download) so you could have a few devices going as well as Teams/Zoom with no issues. There were so many plugs and we had lots of devices. Every time I would want to plug something in, there was always a free plug where you wanted it. Very upmarket place to stay, relax and enjoy.

Location was perfect. There was a fabulous view from the room. The owner was fantastic in explaining everything to do with the accommodation and in addition gave us maps of Napier and suggestions on restaurants and bars. He also helped us (an elderly couple) by taking all our luggage up to the penthouse suite. This was definitely one of our better stays during our 3 weeks travelling in the North Island.

An excellent location with really friendly helpful staff. The room was well serviced everyday with teabags etc refilled and towels replaced when needed. Parking on site was always available for us. The motel is on the marine Parade and just a few minutes walk from the centre of Napier. A selection of snacks was available in the room for purchase if you wanted.

We didn't find any way to recycle any rubbish

Spacious, spotless comfort! The rooms are very quiet, but in the middle of the night if you listen carefully you can hear the waves across the road. The spa bath is wonderful and the beds are huge and comfortable. A great night's sleep.

There's actually nothing I didn't like. We've been coming back to del le Mer for a few years as we have commitments further north, and this haven has been our midway point. What a place, when you're travel weary.
