Our room was so spacious and comfortable, I loved the spa bath and was surprised at how much bigger it was seeing it in person! The location is perfect for if you have kids with the beach, Aquarium and many other cool things being minutes away. The bed was a great size and super comfortable and the aircon heated the room super fast and really well on those cold nights.

Everything was exceptional, although our shower pressure wasn’t the best, but our friend was staying a few rooms down and mentioned that her shower pressure was amazing so it could be just a luck of the draw situation- I really can’t complain though the place exceeded my expectations for the price, I will definitely be coming back!

Was chosen for the view of the bay as I grew up in Napier. Room was perfect.

The laundry and general information. Hotel folder advertises the washing machine as $4 to use while the dryer says$2. The washing machine however removed not much water through the spin cycle, so made drying hard. The dryer was meant to go for at least 60 minutes and cost $4. It did not want to work and the receptionist had to add more money and fiddle with it to work. It also stopped after 20 minutes and most things were still extremely wet. I proceeded to dry my clothes in the room. Maybe time to replace the machines.

The location is perfect as the distance to town is within 10 minutes. The view is outstanding. Room is well appointed, Off street parking ,Good fast internet .

The receptionist did not have any idea regarding the room , Gave us the key with instructions that the key fob would activate the lights by placing in a slot, There was no slot and took us a few minutes to work out the light situation. Plug in the spa did not seal and the water kept draining , Sofa was very uncomfortable and not relaxing. , This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and it has gone down hill a little, Little maintenance is required along with some staff Training in customer service, Seems as it is all about making money and not about getting people returning . Advice to others is to take bottled water as the water from the tap is heavy and tastes like a pond..

Location was perfect for us. Walking distance from everything we needed. Spa was very relaxing . Nice big bed.

There was a very big gap under the door that let a bad draught into the room, The metal stairs outside are very noisy with other guests going up and down all hours of the night and morning . The sofa settee was a little uncomfortable. The television and the sofa could be swapped over to in the room so the heat pump was felt when sitting .Maybe time for a revamp , Fridge didn't seal , bench top very well worn. Hole in the wall. Missing utensil from kitchen . (Staff replaced when asked).

The location was good, staff was friendly and helpful and came to try and sort out an issue quickly. We loved sitting on the deck for breakfast and drinks.

No bowls for breakfast or dessert in cupboards. The shower door had been fitted the wrong way round so no handle on inside to shut the door when in the shower. Two of the three nights people were yelling around the property in late at night and early morning (no fault of the property). Parking was available but if you came back at the wrong time there were not any parks left. bookings.com needs updating as it said breakfast 23.50 and we were told they stopped doing breakfast after covid. Also said no cancellation but could reschedule, however the confirmation said no reschedule.

The room I booked was very spacious and clean. The staff member I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Parking was available. This accommodation is in walking distance to quite a few restaurants and a main shopping area, and the National Aquarium of New Zealand is a five-minute walk.

There were quite a few areas in the room that were old and in need of maintenance (missing grout on the spa next to the bed, cracked tiles, carpet well worn). The shower cubicle (plastic moulded) had no handle inside the pivot door to close it when inside. The bed was quite low, which could be an issue for older people. The room rate is probably reflective of the position rather than of the quality of room.

Firstly- what a surprise to find a huge spa in our room! I was booking this on semi-short notice and just needed a room for my mother and I for one night at a reasonable price so hadn’t really looked at the room details too much. This was definitely a reasonable price. A huge studio room with comfy outdoor furniture on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Everything you could need to cook in the evening, a huge double bed, separate sofa and of course the spa! The shower had such good pressure I didn’t want to get out. The whole building fits in with Napier very well and the staircases from the rooms to ground floor are also so cool. Staff were very friendly and attentive during check in and check out.

Not much - one sign said the spa cut off time was 10pm whilst another said 11pm, that wasn’t an issue on our trip as we did not use the spa but could cause some confusion.

Noise was non existent from the outside at night. Big comfy bed, easy to get around the area and ocean views.

Laundry facilities were an issue. The washing machine cycle kept washing wet even after 2 re-attempts, dryer hopeless. After 5 fryer cycles at 39 mins each and clearing the filter each time not much drying going on. Lost about $22 in coins trying to get it working. Would have told management but we checked out early and no staff on duty.

Spa bath was great, plenty towels, comfortable chairs, all necessary conveniences you need. Nice selection of teas, decaf coffee and chocolate powder.

The bed was so-so. Some quick maintenance would be needed. We were surprised cleaners knocked on the door in the morning quite forecfully, before check out time. Also their information folder outdated. The folder offers breakfast, reception tells you breakfast was stopped during covid. Menu prices suggest those are years old. Just no attention to detail.

Great location overlooking the bay. Lovely large room with a spa bath. It was nice to have a sofa in the room that was comfortable. The shower was super powerful too!

The spa was an excellent feature, but it would have been the icing on the cake to have body lotion for use afterwards. I had forgot to bring mine and didn't want to go and buy one for the night I was there. Also liquid soap for the bathroom is always nicer. We only got one soap so the handsoap had to be used for the body too.
