Location; Excellent if you want to watch the sunrise and explore local attractions and the whats on offer in town. Excellent if you have children as the aquarium, skate park, park & Lick It ice cream parlour are a short stroll away. The team are great, especially the room attendants, the ladies are extremely helpful and accommodating. The rooms are warm, tidy, quiet and have everything you need for a home away from home. We had a spa bath room, which is great for relaxing those tired muscles and watching TV in. Take an HDMI cable and a laptop to access your Netflix account as the TVs do not offer connectivity to your phone.
The bed... unfortunately, the base of the bed has seen better days, so it was more comfortable placing the mattress on the floor for a well supported nights sleep. Please note we have an ecosa firm mattress at home so prefer firm over fluffy. If you don't have any alignment issues (back, hips, neck etc) you may be fine.

The staff are friendly, the location is fantastic as you're a short stroll from activities (the aquarium is right across the road, the park, skate park and ice cream parlour are a short stroll away), places to eat and shop. The rooms are clean and are a nice option on the beach, with stunning views. I loved being able to watch the sunrise. Pillows are comfortable, shower products are okay but ladies I do recommend you BYO shampoo and conditioner for your colour treated hair. Love the hot drink selection, and the Arnott cookies are a nice touch, but you'll have to fight over who gets the chocolate chip one.
If you like a firm mattress or stable sleep, I'm not sure you'll appreciate the beds here. The mattresses could do with being upgraded. I highly recommend contacting ecosa for their firm/align options and negotiating a great rate to roll out throughout to update them.

Beautiful ocean views from our room from middle floors, we absolutely enjoyed the Spa bath in our family suite our children would not get out and was a great way to unwind after a long day out exploring the Hawkes bay. Also the beds were really comfy and a good supply of tea, coffee and milo and complimentary biscuits. The heat-pump was extra cozy for this winter weather. The daily room service cleaning was awesome, liked that there is a lift to the left side of the motor inn as you enter for those with lots of luggage and have rooms on the upper levels. We had a great stay we will book again with you's thank you so much!
Nothing happy with everything. 🙂

The studio room that I booked was located on the top floor. It was huge! So much space, which was ideal. The room was in a corner, which was nice, to have just one neighbour to one side. The view was stunning! - Directly across from Marine Parade and just a short walk to the town. The in-room spa was so good that we didn't have to go to the busy hot pools with everyone else in Napier for Easter weekend: great location and plenty of parking. The cleaners were lovely, helpful and cleaned the room only when we asked, which was perfect. I would highly recommend. I will come back to stay again when I am in Napier.
The balconies weren't private enough, so I could see, hear and smell what was coming from the neighbour and their neighbour, and so on.

Stayed here twice with our grandkids. We loved the friendliness of the staff. The room (we actually got the same room again) was clean and fresh, the spa kept the kids busy which is located in the main living area, they loved having their dinner on the balcony enjoying the sea view, they especially loved their room with a tv of their own. The private bathroom is huge and beautiful and well equipped with toiletries. The kitchenette is awesome. The only downfall is that we couldn't find the password to the wifi. I would recommend this beautiful motel to anybody and everybody just make sure you ask about the wifi because I didn't on both stays, but definitely will on our next stay.
That we didn't stay longer.

We stayed in a luxury family suite which was offered at a reasonable rate given the off-peak time of year. It was very spacious and included a spa bath. Location was lovely being across the road from parkland and the beach, and close to eateries (recommend Kohinoor which is close by).
The suite was tired in places, some furniture was dusty, and room could have smelled fresher. I wondered if this particular room (#1) was typical of the Motor Inn. No blanket was provided for the beds in the second bedroom which was odd given how cold it was, so we had to go ask for that.

Loved the location, the room with the spa in the main room !!! Close to town and all the shops being easily accessible, If we needed anything. Absolutely gorgeous view from the balcony, well stocked tea coffee and the little cookies for the kids after a long road trip and even the shower was awesome , walking distance to the Aquarium too !
The receptionist was a little cold but she may have had a bad day or something never know but would have been helpful to mention there was a lift available as we have small children and things to unload being on the top floor and it's winter so wet and cold but still worth the extra money formthe view ! The sink didn't drain well in the bathroom so that was abit gross but other than that the room itself was very clean !

Have stayed at majority of Hotel/Motel on the Parade and it's the most updated accommodation. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay with enough toiletries for all. Stayed on the 2nd floor and had fantastic views from the balcony.
Although the room was reasonably spacious for 3 ppl it also felt quite cramped with the spa in the main living. Would be better relocated to the bathroom which will allow more space in the main room. Be prepared to park on the road as parks are filled very quickly. Not sure there are enough parks per room. There weren't very many outlets close to beds to plug in phones etc and were in really inconvenient locations. It was lucky that we had a multi plug and extension cords.

The location across the road from the beach was lovely to wake up to each morning. Because it was away from the main shopping area, it was quiet, with no one walking past. The two sleeping areas are at each end of the unit, which is great if one of you is a snorer or doesnt sleep well.
When I walked on the bathroom floor it was sticky - I spoke to the reception lady and she said the cleaner may have used too much product on it and sent the cleaner to go over it again, which fixed that problem. After showering there was alot of water on the floor, which appeared to be a leak from somewhere - I nearly slipped over after a shower - there is a drain in the middle of the floor and i wondered whether it had overflowed when the shower was going. I spoke to the reception person and she said they would put a rubber mat in there to be safe, and she also said the expelair had just been fixed. I didn't see a switch to turn it on or hear it going at any time.

I enjoyed the view to the water and wish we stayed longer. Staff were awesome and they had a washing machine and drying for use (coin operated). Facility had one of the most high-pressure showers I have ever had at any hotel/motel I have stayed at before. The Spa Bath was great, hot and bubbly, great after a long day of travelling. Bed was great, big and cosy and all the options for a hot drink were great! The View was amazing and had the view of 3x water fountains which lit up at night.
Not really things I did not like, but rather things that need looking into: 1. The water fountains when we woke up in the morning (someone had placed bubble bath in them). Out of your control I know, but it was noticed from us. 2. Getting out gears from the car (no allocated parking) and up 3 flights of stairs was a mission 3. DVD and CD player are out of date... you may want to look into this.
