Clean, spacious room with lots of storage. Shower was amazing!! Comfy bed. Liked that there were extra bins by the lift and the facility for ice too. Parking was a good point and proximity to everything good.

The lady on Reception on arrival was quite rude. There was a mix up with a coach booking which had clearly annoyed her, so she took it out on us trying to check in afterwards. Also, for some reason the coffee machine in the restaurant was cleaned when people wanted coffee after dinner? Why would you not wait until the restaurant is empty? Several people were told no as the machine was being cleaned. Although room was amazing, there were heavy stains on the carpet that need addressing.

Everything you want from a hotel - spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great views and friendly staff. They were so accommodating letting us check in early, especially considering it was a very wet day and we didn't particularly want to be stuck outside. Could not fault the location - so close to everything with free onsite parking made our holidays very enjoyable and stress free. The carpark gets very full by the end of the day so I highly recommend arriving earlier or during dinner time when everyone is out, otherwise you may miss out.

The rooms are a bit tired, we couldn't completely shut our window so were getting quite a bit of road noise, the bathroom door was very squeaky and the shower head not designed for tall people but none of that really impacted our trip.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient both on main reception and in the restaurant/bar area. We had two different rooms, only because we loved the hotel and Napier so much we booked an extra night. The first night we were in a room on the third floor (standard room). It was very comfortable, the only draw back being that you A/C we pre-set the 2nd night we were on the 6th floor - this room had mini bar, dressing gowns etc and you could control the air conditioning. The views from both room looked over the beach. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and the small table and chairs are positioned so you could look out over the beach. The breakfast was good, we had one dinner in the restaurant and again it was good. The drinks were a reasonable priced. Directly across from the hotel are swimming pools and we spent a lovely afternoon there. The location is central to enable you to explore Napier and the art deco wonders. We would return to this hotel and are planning to on our next trip to New Zealand.

Our first time in Napier and we had such short yet wonderful stay in Scenic Hotel Te Pania, everything is what we hoped for, big thanks to the FOH team who gave us a room upgrade with a nice seaview on the 5th floor. Also.. a late check-out request was considered by the team on a reasonable time. Parking is easy, and we didnt face any issues. Wifi is decently fast for our needs. And the property is just a walkable distance to most of the points of interest to visit. The reception also gave us a map which comes handy and some great tips where to dine apart from the in-house cafe/resto which is helpful. Thanks team, till we visit again!

Ah, the room isolation - you can basically hear the other guest(s) banging the door and chats in the hallway. And the early noise which we assume from the housekeeping, as early as before 8am. Housekeeping sure just doing their job, however if the room isolation was good like other hotels we visited, then it would do its job to isolate those type of noise. But not a deal breaker for us, thought would point it out for others who are perhaps light sleepers like us (alternatively request a room away from the elevator).

Cannot beat the location for proximity to the CBD and marine parade. Free carparking. Friendly, engaging staff. Spacious room with great views and many electrical sockets.

Never a fan of shower over bath, especially with a fabric shower curtain. One of the privacy blinds was missing and as the room is almost on the street I had to either been full frontal or have the curtains pulled. Not the hotel, but one reason I have preferred to stay at Scenic Te Pania is to go to the Ocean Spa across the road for an early morning swim and dip in the hot pools. Sadly the price has increased to $20 so that is the end of that for me.

The property was sooo nice!! We had an amazing stay here. The 24 hours reception was handy because we knew that we would arrive late so this was perfect because we didnt have to rush to make it in time for check in. They have buffet breakfast in the morning which was delicious!! And also 24 hours room service, we didnt use it but was cool that there was an option for it. They have netflix on the tv and also sky sports which my partner loved. It is also in a super handy location. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, we wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely be booking here in the future :)

The space of the room was good, nice views, big window to open up. Liked they had the light blinds you can choose to have open or closed and then had thick dark curtains for sleeping. They had ample storage and liked the bathroom amenities. The room was nice and clean and bedding was comfy and cozy.. also really liked their robes👍🏼

What I felt was missing for me to give it 10 stars was a toaster in the room, something to wipe up the bench and a tea towel, more coffee options- the coffee bags they offer are horrible and should offer a hot chocolate option. Also, the little milk cartons they use aren't the best for pouring.

The receptionist that checked me in was super friendly. She engaged in conversation and was really great to deal with. I checked in quite late like 830pm on the Tuesday night if that helps you understand who it was. Great customer service from her.

There isn’t really anywhere to sit in reception other than go into the bar restaurant area. The place is great and I’ll definitely stay again but it would be nice when waiting for an uber or something if there were seating.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spotless, modern, and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk from both the town center and Ocean Spa, which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet. It offered a wide variety of delicious options and was excellent value for money. Overall, this hotel provided a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We’ll definitely be back!

The veiw is exceptional room is comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We found the beds to be comfortable in our room as we were informed that the beds were new and were a medium on the scale of hard or soft. It is very easy to find and good parking The staff are very friendly easy to approach and happy to help.

The bathrooms are pretty small and need abit of modernising but are clean and functional and have all the things you need. I couldn’t fault anything else
