Bed was comfy, shower was great. Room was clean and the location was good. Very quiet even though its by the airport it was still quiet. The restaurant across the road was a great place to eat and drink, great atmosphere.

The hand basin stopper wouldn't open so couldn't use the bathroom basin. The restaurant (which isn't with the Motel) as we kept getting told by the staff was rude and not very accommodating and pushy. The reception is through an inside door - not very well signed and was greeted by a young lady and was given the key and quickly shown where the room was and off she went. The fridge was a small one and could have been on a shelf which would have been easier to use as well as the jug and coffee/tea containers which were on the floor beside the fridge.

Position on the coast. Private room. Staff were really helpful and friendly

The bed was definitely broken! It bent in half if you sat on it and the divan seemed to be the problem not the mattress. Worried also about the electrics in the bathroom( shade missing on wall light do that the wiring was visible. Light switch in bathroom was stiff and temperamental. Fan operation a bit random, sink was cracked. Communal area had extra glasses and bowls but didn’t find any plates.

Right from the start, it was lovely. Beautiful setting, lovely building and interior. Friendly staff. Our room was lovely. Bed was very comfortable. Fridge large tv . Nice shower and bathroom. Quiet next to pub, and restaurant. Close to Nelson and kaiteriteri. Shops and supermarket 5 mins just down the road by car. Found a great fish and chip shop op the countdown , family run. HUGE burgers and the best I've eaten in a long time.

Our room 22 upstairs had a splendid view! the sun came in. It was clean & secure

I though the towels were old, sorry but a hand towel is not a bathmat! Bed linen is old. I thought the restaurant downstairs had a very limited menu. It should have offered fresh salads. And welcoming smiles!

Room was awesome with the heatpump, nice and secure place makes you feel nice and safe having to use the key card to get into the hallway aswell as your room.

Shower pressure wasn't as good as I thought it would be but still does the job. Nice and hot too!

The style of the complex. Proximity to good restaurants. Double glazing. Generally comfortable with everything we needed and more. Convenient parking.

Unusual impersonal lackluster reception. Layout of wardrobe and tea making facilities and fridge. Could be better. Plane noise when windows are open. Toilet seat askew. Bidet may suit the odd international traveler but unnecessarily cut down on ensuite space.

A very interesting option within Nelson. The hotel is part of a bigger resort area with a the feel of a classic European village. We stayed on two separate occasions, before and after a multi-day trip through the Abel Tasman national park. The staff enabled us to take our room keys after normal check-in time. The rooms vary a lot in size but are always clean. A big plus is the proximity to Nelson airport, we were able to walk there with our luggage and could thus avoid the taxi fair.

No breakfast option and hard to find something in the area if you're without a car. Rooms were a bit pricey, probably due to our stay during the summer holiday period.

Good location, but not in Nelson (the location is actually Stoke). The restaurant next door at the Honest Lawyer was great, and our dinner at the Brick Eatery was terrific.

There was garbage from the previous gust on the patio. To be fair, it was quickly cleaned up after bringing it to the attention of staff.

Room, bath/shower, quaintness were all beautiful. It was wonderful to have a soak after a long day traveling.

Bed was not entirely comfy, and the room was right off the reception area so it was a bit loud when folks were coming in and out. Could have used a door sash to dampen the sound and light during the night.

Only one staff member, but he was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfy. Located next to a bar with meals.

The room was small with no place to put luggage, or make a cup of coffee except on th little fridge.
