Highly recommend this accommodation. It was very clean, well equipped, spacious and the bathroom was much bigger than expected with plenty of room. There was a little bowl and dishwashing liquid and tea towels provided in the bathroom to wash any dishes which was appreciated. The accommodation was easy find, easy to park and it was only a 10 minute walk to town (only a small part is uphill). Exceptionally good value and a generous breakfast is also provided. Thank you for being such lovely hosts.

We had a very comfortable stay overnight Thank you. ☺️ The unit had everything one needs for a short stay . Chris is very hospitable and gives a good rundown of what’s where etc. A good continental breakfast was also provided.

Not a dislike , more of a suggestion. The unit sliding door faces down the long driveway and it could be an advantage to put a little privacy screen around the little outdoor table and chairs. We did feel a little on show to the street while having our coffee, but it was a minor thing and it wouldn’t stop us staying again.

It was quiet and peaceful. Chris warned us of trains, but we never noticed any. Chris herself was lovely to be hosted by, very friendly, helpful and made us laugh. I bought extra blankets but not only were extra on hand if needed, we also had a heat pump AND electric blankets to use, which we did. Bed was better than a lot of accom we have stayed in. Breakfast was varied and much appreciated! Place was well situated, looked after, and easy to find. The cherry on top was their gorgeous old cat who made an appearance. Already recommending to friends and family, thank you :)

There was nothing not to like

Chris and Dave's B&B was a delightful find during our recent trip to Waitomo. Their hospitality was exceptional, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect, with local shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast was a standout—even better than some of the other accommodations we've experienced. If you're looking for a convenient and welcoming place to stay near the Waitomo Caves, Chris and Dave's B&B is a fantastic option.

Decent breakfast, press pot for coffee. Bed was comfortable place was clean and easy to get in and out.

Town was pretty small and very quiet. Had dinner at Turko Kebab and very ordinary despite good ratings. We got up early to hit 3 sisters and elephant rock at low tide. Probably would have booked something closer to 3 sisters and elephant rock if I had planned better. Nothing against this place, just had a longer drive in early morning.

Very clean, lovely quality sheets. Breakfast and tea/coffee supplies were of a high standard and plenty to choose from including biscuits and fruit. Chris, our host was outstanding and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Chris also put my husband’s motorcycle in her garage to charge, nothing was a bother. All in all a great little hidden gem which we’ll go back to.

Absolutely everything. Chris met as we drove in, helped me park the car and then offered us a very welcome cuppa. Her superb hospitality continued throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely stay there again if in Otorohanga. Breakfast was lovely.

Only possible downside is it is not really set up for self catering, though you could reheat stuff / have cooked chicken and a salad from the supermarket. All plates etc are there. Very close to town and lovely Restaraunts so not really a problem. Do thoroughly recommend it.

Pleasant host. The location was great to explore Waitomo. Very hot day so having a good AC was appreciated. Comfy couch and bed. WIFI worked well. It was really nice having breakfast items to choose from: yogurt, cereal, fruit and bread. Hot Pot and toaster were nice to have. We enjoyed our stay. We recommend this B&B.

Located near Kiwi House; made use of the lovely and quaint town with excellent coffee shops/bakeries/cafes vs the breakfast on offer; lovely views; near Waitomo Caves so a longer stay single/couple would be brilliant!

Nothing to dislike. You could hear a train in the distance but did not disturb sleep.

Chris is an amazing host and we felt really well looked after. She really pays attention and cares for guests! The accommodation was super clean and tidy, and more spacious than we expected. They also provided a great range of breakfast options. Thanks! (Tanya & Bartek)
