This was a last minute overnight booking. Bellevue Boutique Lodge is run by Liz and Steve. We only met Liz, she was fantastic and accommodating, making our visit very comfortable in every way. She provided a welcome fruit and cheese platter, a wonderful breakfast in the morning and room (5) with a balcony with wonderful little touches and a beautiful view over lake Taupo. Liz gave us lots of trip guidance and a small birthday present for my wife (unexpected). We wanted to extend our stay by one mre night, but the Lodge was fully booked. Would highly recommend and stay again.

The reception we received was exceptional. Our hosts have a wonderful home with an outstanding view of the lake, There was an unexpected generous cold plate of cheese in our room fridge which was really appreciated after a long drive. The breakfast which loosely could have been called continental was an imaginative range of cold dishes which would not have looked out of place in a 5 star hotel,

Local planning laws prevent the installation of any significant signs to guide the weary visitor to this oasis of calm. It was very easy to drive past, domestic sized house names located at pavement level. Sat Nav of the highest quality is a must.

Beautiful, retro decor (I believe 19th Century) yet modern, comfortable room and bed, great view of the lake. Quiet location, a few minutes drive from the centre. Besides the room, a sitting room is available (I used it for a zoom session without having to disturb my partner). Well equipped bathroom, excellent shower. Kindest hosts!

Continental breakfast. I prefer with eggs, cheese, etc. nevertheless good quality.

Liz and Steve were absolutely great hosts. Always up for a chat and great with ideas as to what would be worth a look and guidance in what we could do. The attentention to detail of the place was great and the room we stayed in (4) was lovely. The place was always clean and well made up every day. We stayed for 5 nights.

On arrival we were well informed by Lizz about the B&B and what to do in the area. Lizz was also available for a chat about life in New Zealand (of course also about items) The rooms were excellent (even better than expected based on the information we found on the internet) The breakfast (musly, cereals, fruit, fresh fruit juice, sandwiches) was excellent and sufficient. In the evening you could have a hot dinner upon request. The location was excellent for our trips to Rotorua and to Tongarino national parcs

We loved staying at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast We were given a wonderful welcome by Steve and Liz. We fell in love with our room with beautiful views. Thank you for the cheese and crackers platter and chocolates! So nice to have breakfast in the shared dining room. We would love to come back

A very nice lodge with fantastic view of the lake Taupo. Just a few minutes drive to popular tourist spots. The room is well maintained with attention to detail. Liz and Steve are absolutely amazing hosts. They’ve prepared everything you need during the stay. Highly recommend.

Great location. Peaceful with great views, but close enough to town to pop in for lunch, dinner, shopping. Steve and Liz were great hosts. Room came with all needed amenities and extras like charcuterie and chocolate provided.

Breakfast could use a protein option like eggs or bacon.

Very friendly hosts. Accommodation was well cared for and beautiful views. Continental breakfast was included and enjoyed. Complimentary cheese board on arrival and chocolate was a really nice touch. Beautiful decor.

It was home from home, you wanted for nothing! Everything you could possibly want was accommodated for, which made our stay relaxing and comfortable. The lodge was set in beautiful grounds with an amazing view of the lake. The accommodation was perfect in every way.
