We read all of the reviews about this property before we booked in 2021 and even through we had to cancel our trip then due to Covid we rebooked for 2024 and we were so glad that we did. This has to be one of our favourite B&B we have ever stayed in. From the initial welcome to the final goodbye we were treated so amazingly well by Robyn. The view over Lake Taupo was incredible and we so enjoyed the amazing breakfasts on the deck overlooking the lake. Robyn was always ready with a cup of tea and biscuits which was particularly valued when we arrived back from a Huka falls walk absolutely soaked! The bedroom was really well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and fridge which was a real bonus. The bathroom was large and well equipped with a great shower. There was also a balcony to sit outside and enjoy the tremendous view of the lake.

We had a wonderful night at Serenity. It was like staying in a luxury private hotel with our own concierge. Our room was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable and the view was stunning! Our host, Robyn, was extremely helpful and could answer all our queries and even booked us in for dinner at a local restaurant. She really couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was exceptional and beautiful presented, we only wished that we’d been hungrier! We will certainly stay again on our next trip to Taupo.

The breakfast was a 10/10. Fresh fruit, cereal and yogurt then cooked bacon, eggs and mushrooms. Both my cousin and partner did not need to have lunch that day. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable with a direct view to the lake. We all felt at home and relaxed. A great way to enjoy your holiday. We also appreciated information on local restaurants and things to do and see.

Absolutely nothing that we didn't like. It was the best stay out our eight day stay by far. Thank you.

The owner is wonderful to talk to. The breakfast is made to order. The decor and accommodation are first class. The view is superb! Wish we stayed an extra day! Close drive to city and you can walk to a bay/beach area for a swim. (There are about 100 stairs). Utterly a peaceful and outstanding place.

Beautiful peaceful location. Great views, comfortable bed, great breakfast and Robyn is a wonderful host. Very helpful. Very clean accommodation and we would definitely return and stay longer. Lake Taupo has lots to offer. Accommodation is away from the centre of Taupo, which makes this a wonderful relaxing place to stay.

Beautiful property with amazing views. Robyn the owner was exceptional with her warm welcome and helpful knowledge of the whole area. Breakfast was homemade and had lots of choices. We’ll worth a visit.

Host was just lovely, so friendly and helpful. Room was very clean with an incredible view of the lake. A wonderful time just to relax and soak it all in. Breakfast out on the deck was incredible.

The breakfast was an excellent mix of fruits and classical bacon and eggs, all beautifully done. Loved the scrambled eggs...

Nothing untoward

The view is to die for! Wow factor as you drive down the driveway, the garden is spectacular, the room view is second to non! Robyn the host was delightful, loved sharing her local knowledge and went out of her way to make us feel pampered. The property was immaculate. our stay was comparable to a 5 star hotel.
