There are three rooms, ours was very comfortable with a nice bed, television, en-suite bathroom and sitting area with a small table and two chairs. A small fridge and kettle with teas and coffee are available in a common hallway. Mary, our hostess, serves a very lovely breakfast that included eggs upon request as we liked them. Specialty coffees were also available. Although the location is not in town, it is an easy walk to a little market and wonderful restaurant where we ate dinner both nights we stayed at The Loft.

Not a problem for us, but all of the rooms are upstairs which may be a challenge for some guests.

Mary and Ian were wonderful hosts- loved sharing stories during breakfast; our room was very clean; room was decorated with thought; shower space is adequate; good water pressure and easy to adjust hot or cold water; near room is a small fridge, teas, coffee and cookies; has one window with screen that is open; wonderful breakfast: yogurt, fresh fruit, muesli, eggs cooked to order, bacon, toast, homemade jam, juice, coffee, tea; breakfast served 7:30-10:00; very quiet neighborhood; near Lake Taupo; off street parking

The property was extremely clean and well appointed. The breakfast was lovely. MARY made homemade bread, yogurt and other accoutrements. She had hot breakfast on request if you would like. What we enjoyed most was Ian and MARY giving us excellent suggestions and sweet conversation in the morning of places to go and advice on how to dress up on the mountain which was good advice. overall, it was an excellent stay and we thank both Mary and Ian.

A beautiful house, very kind and helpful hosts, very good breakfast with great coffee. The room had a good size. We felt very welcome and enjoyed chatting with Mary and Ian over breakfast. Good place for trips in the region outside Taupo away from the busy lakefront, which is what we were looking for.

Mary and Ian are wonderful hosts. Loved our room and it was really inviting. Bed was a bit firmer than we're use to but still comfortable. Breakfast and coffee was yummy each morning! Everything was nice and clean and loved the homemade biscuits.

Could maybe look at replacing the shower head to get more steady and powerful water pressure, but this is a very minor concern

Property had a good feel & was quite private. Next to park, planted with lots of trees. Heard the birds communicating early in the morning. Neighbourly restaurant & nursery. Barely a 10 min drive to Taupo central & an abundance to restaurants, cafes & shops.

The location is perfect close to town centre, a cafe/restaurant in walking distance and close to family. The breakfast is excellent, quality food, the sour dough bread delicious and sharing with other guests if you choose is a positive

this is just a personal issue as i have a problem knee, an ottoman for putting my legs up would have been good, restful when relaxing

Lovely and quiet in acacia bay but near enough to taupo and very near all the visitor attractions. Ian and Mary were great hosts and lovely breakfast cooked to order.

Room was well set out & comfortable. Mary & Ian were very friendly & professional. They provided an excellent continental & cooked breakfast including homemade bread & jams.

There was tea and biscuits anytime if you wanted. A lovely sitting room. Great breakfast with homemade bread, yoghurt and jam. Great knowledge of the area by the hosts who were helpful also with luggage. Very comfortable room A 10 minute drive to town centre but such a lovely location and you felt like a home away from home.
