Our night's stay was exactly what we needed: no-frills and comfortable. The room was perfectly adequate for our family of four, providing a cozy base for the night. The true highlight of our stay was the incredibly accommodating staff. They were so flexible, offering an early check-in (though we didn't end up needing it), and went above and beyond with a truly thoughtful gesture: covering our windshield with a towel overnight to prevent frost, a common occurrence in the area. This small act of kindness made a big difference!

While our stay was otherwise perfect, we did experience a moment of unease when we heard the Wanaka air raid siren. It was quite unsettling at the time. It would be helpful if the hotel could provide some information regarding this, perhaps a small note in the room, as we later discovered it was simply the local Fire Brigade calling in their crew for emergencies. Knowing this beforehand would have alleviated our concern. Despite the brief confusion with the siren, the exceptional service and comfortable amenities made for a very pleasant stay.

The manager Karen was very accomodating and helped us with a medical emergency. She helped us access urgent after hours medical care with the local doctor service and was very accommodating when our little girl broke her arm. The room was well equipped with a small kitchen, perfect for preparing some simple meals and very comfortable and clean. There is a playground for kids and a sandpit which our toddler loved and the shops were a close walk away.

The playground did look like it needed an upgrade as some of the playfort equipment was unstable and we were unsure why the slide at the top was blocked off, unable to be used possibly as it needed repair.

Location is great, about a five minute walk from town (including supermarket). Short drive to Cardrona ski field. Lovely and warm inside despite it being below freezing outside - although there was quite a bit of condensation on the windows in the morning. Shower was surprisingly good, with good pressure and temperature. There was enough hot water for four adults' consecutive showers. A welcome surprise after experience with showers at other motels. Beds were fine, no complaints but nothing special. Woke up in the morning to see that someone (presumably staff at the motel) had put a towel over our car's windscreen overnight, which meant that the windscreen wasn't frosted over in the morning. A nice little touch that was very much appreciated!

Kitchen is tiny, but still usable. Would have liked if there were more (or larger) pots and pans. There was an electric fry pan which was able to do most of what we needed (with some strategizing). Had to make sauce, empty + clean, then boil pasta in the frying pan because it was the only thing large enough.

Location is only a short pleasant work to the town centre. There is a Bottle-O located directly next door which was handy. There are some seats and tables in tehe garden out the front if you want to have a meal or drink in the outdoors which looked very pleasant. The host upon arrival was very friendly and helpful with ideas of things to do whilst we were there. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Parking is easy directly out the front of your room which is handy.

A brilliant team who looked at my special request associated with my wife’s limited mobility and looking for a view and we were upgraded to a perfect room with porch and bed views. Such considerate hosts. The room, although a little dated, was comfortable and had everything we needed. The extra large bed gave us a perfect sleep and when I had mastered the air-con we also had a room at the correct temperature. Recommend for short stays.

Friendly staff, good location as just a few minutes walk to the lake, cafes, bars, restaurants and supermarket. We particularly enjoyed a meal at the Indian restaurant overlooking the lake and The Cow, where we had a lovely pizza. I left a jacket in our room when we left, and Karen was particularly helpful in making sure that I got it back. Thank you

Great location, lovely staff, room was clean, well equipped, shower had great pressure, the kids LOVED the playground, when we arrived we were given discount vouchers for a few local places to eat, the couple in the office were super nice, at night they even took the time to towel all the car windscreens for everyone so the windows didn't freeze over. Will definitely be first choice if we head back that way in the future

It had everything we needed! Beds were very comfortable and warm, extra blankets provided. Laundry/drier was super helpful. Kitchen unit was compact and had everything we needed. Staff was lovely - helped us out with bits and pieces. Room was spotless and spacious! Nice location, walking distance from main road, lake was 5-10mins walk away. Quiet at night.

Nothing, was great!

We stayed in a "Deluxe King studio" The room was a reasonable size with a good sized kitchen area and bathroom. The motel is a short walk to the lakefront shops and bars with a small supermarket nearby. There was an issue with the fridge and lack of cooking equipment but this was quickly sorted by the management.

The room was dominated by a huge TV, the biggest we have seen in a motel room. Unfortunately the reception was pretty poor so the picture was grainy. Not a great problem for us as we rarely watch TV when travelling but the room would have benefited from a smaller TV to give more of an impression of space.

Perfectly situated in the heart of town, this hotel was ideal for our family with teenagers keen to explore. Everything was within walking distance, from shops and sights to cafes and restaurants. The equipped kitchen made this apartment perfect for home cooks, whether you're whipping up simple meals or wanting to try your hand at local specialties A warm welcome from Karen set the tone for a fantastic stay. Her hospitality made us feel right at home
