location location location. Lakeview motel is perched up high overlooking the township and out over the mountains. it was an easy walk into town. the beds were comfortable and the room was warm and cosy.

the grounds are unloved . they promote that there is a bbq… but it doesn’t work as one poor traveller found out with steaks in hand. the hot tub is dirty and not at all inviting. if they are not going to sell off this property, then give some love to the garden and grounds.

View exceptional - the breakfast bar/table seating has an exceptional position looking right out to the lake. Guess thats why the motel is called "Lakeview".

Toilet room needs a spruce up, a decent clean (mould around the window, skirtings need dusting and cobwebs need removing )and bathroom mirror could be replaced. Frontdoor and pathway could be swept and gardens tidied up. Rubbish/Recycling bins need to be USED PROPERLY!! Rubbish goes into the RED Bin, not Yellow bin.

Excellent location. Parking can be difficult in Wananka, but you can take a stroll from the motel down a flight of steps to the shopping areas and lake.

The place was very clean but the carpet was badly stained and the sofa repaired where it was torn. The repair patches were peeling and sticky.

Small studio style apartment, great views, handy location above the main town. Small but functional kitchen with microwave and all basic needs catered for. Great balcony although a shared one it wasn’t a problem. Overall we had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay.

The one bedroom is in a loft location up a set of stairs, comfortable bed although the dormer style windows that jut out it is easy to hit your head, luckily we didn’t! No bathroom up there so a trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night was a bit daunting at our age.

Unit is on a hillside with a good direct view of the expanse of Lake Wanaka. It is very close to the lake and town center, but getting here without a ride would be quite an uphill trek. Unit was spacious, with a large bathroom and toilet. We only spent one night here, and it met our needs.

Unit felt just a little dated. Although it was clean and furnishings were still in reasonable condition, a refresh would be helpful.

We had a room with an amazing view of the Lake and mountains, and loved sitting outside on the veranda. Good facilities, everything need and very clean. Easy 5 minute walk down a hill to the lake and a variety of fabulous cafes, restaurants and shops. Also plenty of accessible walks and no need to use the car for the whole stay. Wish we had stayed longer.

Nothing I disliked.

Great views. We had the last room which was a bit more spacious, and our daughter had the loft room which was great for her. Better than expected, wonderful views and enough space for the 3 of us.

The shared veranda wasn’t great, and we had neighbours for our 3 nights there so felt that we were intruding when we went on the veranda. But we had a table and wonderful views to the lake and mountains from our table in the room so enjoyed afternoon drinks there.

The driveway very steep.

The situation was excellent. To be able to go out of the unit door and look over Lake Wanaka was fantastic particularly as the sun shone for our time there. It is also conveniently positioned for the town and exploring the area.

The bathroom and toilet were perfectly functional but their appearance and decorative state could be improved. Parking for units 1-4 is not the easiest.

Absolutely amazing view. Quiet location with a ten minute walk to the shops. Shower pressure was great. Bed was comfortable.

Asked for the room to be serviced as the floor was dirty in arrival and needed vacuuming - unfortunately due to lack of staff this was not actioned. Had trouble with the TV settings - staff member helped to reset the channels. The kitchenette is described as comprehensive - no hot plate and very few utensils.
