Unnoticed by us, we had forgotten my jacket plus my German passport when we vacated our room. 2 days later I was called by the staff of the Motel to inform me about the jacket. At this time we were in Hokitika on the West Coast and had to get to Christchurch to catch our plane back to Europe. This was only possible because one of the people of the motel drove up to meet us half way in Fox’s Glacier. In this way we were able to conclude our NZ stay without having to rebook our flight. So this was an exceptional example of Kiwi hospitality way beyond the call of duty. Thank you very much!!!

This is an amazing property. We had a front facing apartment that was clean, comfy and well stocked. The guy on the front desk was really friendly and gave us the room slightly ahead of check in time. We were over the moon with our selection, we had booked this last minute, after an itinerary change meant the original hotel we had booked couldn't accommodate us. Once we arrived in Wanaka we realised the original hotel was at the top of the hill away from the town centre but the Bella Vista Motel Wanaka was superbly located just a short stroll from the lake. We were not aware of any outside noise during our stay and I would highly recommend this property for your stay.

Great location in the center of Wanaka. We did not need to drive at all after we arrived to explore the town. Everything we needed or wanted was within walking distance. We were placed in a unit on the second floor. The doors into the room are glass sliding doors, but as a result, we had a beautiful view of the lake & surrounding mountains throughout the day (esp during sunset). We appreciated that there was a laundry facility on site. They only accept coins, but was priced reasonably in comparison to other places we saw on our trip and you can exchange cash for coins at reception. Detergent was also provided. They also made late check in super easy.

Our unit was at the edge of the second floor. We believe that their might have been a bar nearby as we could hear some sounds & loud voices in the evening. But the noise did not run too late into the night.

The motel was situated in middle of town, absolutely perfect! The room I booked was a studio and was perfect for me. It had everything a person could need , was exceptionally clean and very well appointed. I loved the dark tinted glass on the outside door and windows, giving total privacy from the outside. The bed was so comfortable! I just melted into it. I loved how the stairs and balcony walkways were carpeted with an outdoor carpet, great idea, preventing anyone from accidentally slipping in wet or damp conditions. The hosts were very and friendly and welcoming . I will recommend this motel to anyone traveling to Wanaka, it cant be faulted.

Excellent Location handy to walk anywhere in Town, Clean Tidy Unit. Staff were friendly and Helpful.

This accommodation met our requirements for our 2 Night stay very well. No Car Park for us we had to park out on the street. Having said that we did arrive outside of normal Check-in Hours.

A great location right in town, very handy to shops and lake front, just a short walk away, many Restaurants very close by, to cater to all. Room had a view of the mountain range, very nice sight in the morning, room compact but comfortable, great shower and bathroom area.

The property is located in the centre of the town with supermarket, coffee shops and bars all around. The style in and outside of the property brought you back to 19th century and very clean. The manager is very kind and helpful.

Short 5mins walk to town shops, restaurants, ice-cream outlet, New World supermarket and the beautiful Lake Wanaka. Cold during our stay on 29 Nov with strong sun shining into the unit. Close the curtain to solve that but you missed the beautiful mountain views right infront.

The 2nd level units require some work bringing heavy luggage up the stairs.

Central location.

Room 18 seemed very dark . We needed to use the lights or keep the door open . We were surprised that the office closed as early as 5 pm. Fortunately we just caught the receptionist as he was locking up. He was very helpful.

Central location (middle of Wanaka but still very quiet ), had everything we needed for a one night stay or longer, spacious and sunny

Quite loud plumbing noise when the neighbours turned on the shower. Otherwise it was very quiet in our corner room.
