Location 10/10 - one street from the lakefront, right beside a supermarket Room 10/10 - needs an upgrade but everything was in working order Cleanliness - 10/10 Beds - 10/10 Comfortable and warm

I have zero complaints. There was a fault in our booking. Booking.com app had us for 2 nights but accommodation only had one night. Thankfully they had an apartment they could put us in for this one night which was fantastic. Then back to Aspiring Lodge Motel for our remaining night. If anything this was an upgrade on quality. Very grateful we had somewhere to sleep after a long day of travel

Really Cozy vibe, great value for price, amazing location - everything in walking distance, love the quirky rooms and all the wood made it feel super lodgy and matched the location perfectly. Would probably try get a room upstairs with a balcony next time those rooms looked amazing and more privacy!

the shower felt like a hose on jet mode but was still pretty good for what we were paying, we had to keep the curtains shut most the time as the hedge cover outside was very thin and people walking past could see in - thicker bush outside the window would be amazing though so the blinds and windows could be open and still have privacy (bottom floor)

The location was great. Close to the lake and shops. Good sized seating area outside. Adequate cooking facilities. Very comfortable bed . Slept well, considering it's located on a busy corner. The traffic noise completely disappeared around bedtime.

A mouldy smell in the bathroom after being closed up for a while. I'm not sure if it's coming from the drain or the shower curtain. The outside table needed cleaning

The bed, patio and the centralised location. Has a supermarket right beside. Near to restaurants that offers good food. The room is spacious, has a solid heater in the toilet and there's a tiny kitchenette w everything I need to make a simple meals or gets things heated up. Has heat mat in bed. Though old but meets all that I'm looking for.

The tv, hope it offers netflix. The wire is also slight messy. But this didn't break the deal.

The room was clean and tidy with a patio area that was pleasant. The kitchenette was basic but had enough for basic self-catering, exactly as it appeared on the website. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking was available on site, but probably not enough for all guests. There was a carpark across the road but you needed to move the car by 10am. An excellent location with easy walking to shops and cafes, and the lake.

Excellent location, close to supermarket, shops and beach. Comfy bed and seating, good table and chairs, balcony. Good wifi. Adequate kitchenette.

Strange 'fruity' smell which didn't go away. Lots of creaks, groans and bangs presumably from the timber expanding and contracting. Shower - either temperature too hot or very little pressure.

Best location in the centre of town! Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Free parking means you can leave your car at the motel and walk around town, you don’t have to worry about paying for parking. The rooms are generous sizes with great heating options.

Nothing, everything about our stay was great!

An old-fashioned style motel but very comfortable with enough kitchen facilities to make preparing a meal easy. Great location to the town - the lake is just a couple of minutes walk away and it is literally next door to a supermarket. Also Patagonia Chocolates is about one minute away which also makes it a perfect spot to stay!

Wi-fi was terrible which meant TV viewing was also affected. I spent as much time watching it paused as I did the program. I know you don’t go to Wanaka to watch TV but on the very wet day it would have been handy!

Super friendly staff and accommodating to compensate the small amount of parking in site. Lodge is right next door to supermarket and only 1 block away from the lake and right in the middle of the town center. Good size room, very clean and tidy. Nice balcony with beautiful views of the mountains. Good amount of kitchen appliances and cutlery to keep you self contained.

Room was made from wood and creaked heaps, often and loud so it was a bit uncomfortable with the noise, especially in the night. Small amount of parking and a bit tight but staff was very friendly and accommodating for our car+trailer set up.

It was in a great location, right near the lake and next door to a supermarket. It was a little outdated but had rustic charm to it. Bed was comfy.

The parking was extremely tight and because the large van from the people in the room next to us was parked right on the line of our spot, we couldn’t even fit our small hatchback in the spot. We had to park across the road in a public parking lot overnight..
