The room was very clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and fittings were very modern. The room was small but well designed. Tea & coffee items supplied. However, for us, as we like to prepare our own breakfast, with no toaster, microwave, plates or cutlery (probably due to the size of the room) it was a bit disappointing. There was a shared kitchen facility but it was a bit of a walk away. That said the kitchen was available, large and had everything needed. There was a nice outdoor area right outside the siding door to our room, with an expansive lawned area, which was very pleasant. The motel is right in the middle of town, with eateries and shops everywhere nearby, and Wanaka Lake a short walk away. Excellent in that respect. Recommended.

No toaster, plates & cutlery in the room. These and plenty of other cooking utensils are available in a shared kitchen separate to the rooms.

Great location with plenty of parking lots and eateries around. The room is clean, bed is comfortable, toilet is clean. The entire hotel looks pretty new. There are also shared washing machines and kitchen. Enjoyed the stay at Wanaka Hotel :)

The heater is rather weak, therefore the night can be very cold during winter. It was a struggle to get out from the blanket when the temperature is low.

The room is good and clean. The location is also good.

We didn't like about the room location was downstairs, many steps we have to bring our luggage down when we checked-in. The receptionist only said only 5 steps down, but actually they are many steps (probably about 20 steps??). The reception only help for a few luggage. When they are still 3 luggage left, she just left. However, when we checked-out the day after, there are some cleaners help us to bring up our luggage. This was good.

Great location - only a few mins walk to the lake and center of town. Plenty of options for local café, pubs and restaurants nearby. Our room had an outdoor balcony with a great view of the surrounding mountains and we really appreciate the parking availability at no extra cost! Hotel offers kitchen facilities for guests as well as laundry.

We were there during autumn and found the indoor heater didn't quite heat up the room at all so might feel cooler in winter months, otherwise no complaints!

Amazing location, can not be beaten. Wānaka is gorgeous and you can walk to everything from this hotel. My daughter loves the lake and playground which is less than a 2 min walk. The Mexican place was really nice next door. The laundry was excellent we did all our washing easily. The communal kitchen was great for extra bowls and forks etc. the green space outside was excellent for our 4 year old.

The air con in the room was difficult to operate. We think it kicked in later that night and the room got warm.

Great staff. It was quiet at the front desk so they took the time to explain about life in Wanaka and how it has changed. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect if you don't have a car because of the many food options. We could sit on our balcony and enjoy the view and a glass of wine. We did have a car and spent an afternoon exploring more outside the city.

Central location which is why I choose to stay there - love the coffee shop and Mexican restaurant right at the front door. The room is modern and the new bathroom is lovely. Warm and comfortable.

As mentioned to the front reception - while the new bathroom is great, the shower leaks badly out towards the toilet. I also didn't like that this room doesn't have a vanity/basin in the bathroom. You have to come out and use the one in the kitchenette.

Room had a view was clean and well appointed, staff were helpful. The hotel was quiet but in the centre of Wanaka.

Access to accommodation from car park was difficult. The entrance and hidden back steps past the guest kitchen was difficult to locate. I overlooked reading that there was no lift and combined with back hotel entrance from car park and my difficulty lifting and carrying a bag meant I was not independent and had to reply on others. Which was given thank you but something additional to ask already busy staff.

Location, location, location. Clean comfortable spacious room. I had an upstairs room with a private balcony and a lovely lake view. Very friendly helpful staff.

Stairs were difficult as I am a senior. No lift. The dedicated accommodation parking area out the back has too few spaces, but other parking can be found in the bar and restaurant patrons area.

The hotel is well-presented and conveniently located close to the centre of town with shops and cafes all being located within a pleasant walk of the hotel. The room was comfortable and has been renovated in recent years to a nice, fresh modern look and feel. There is a nice cafe on site that serves a comprehensive menu for breakfast and lunch. (I did not take notice of evening meals but I believe there is also a restaurant on site and bookings may be required during popular times.)

When fully booked, the guest car park may become full resulting in the need to park in an overflow area further away from the rooms; however, this is manageable. The room I stayed in had no step-free access which made managing bags only a little more difficult but again was not unmanageable.
