The property is five minutes walk from town with easy driving access to everything Wānaka has to offer. The room we had was basic but very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen facilities were excellent (the sharp knife was actually sharp!) and the bathroom functional. The room catered well for the cold conditions (heat pump, electric blankets, heated towel rail) and the property had everything we needed after a day on the mountain including… outdoor hose to clean our filthy car, a vacuum, a bench to clean and wax our ski gear, a large laundry with multiple washing machines, driers, clothes racks and free washing power. The staff were very friendly and always available to help if you needed anything. Would definitely stay again

Host Mark was very friendly and provided a lot of information about Wanaka area. Room was clean, good amount of space and plenty of parking space. Lakefront walking path was nice although Wanaka tree was not surrounded by water so was nothing special. Tree evidently is only surrounded by water in winter time or after very heavy rains as Lake needs to be high to frame the tree.

Not sure why but my sleep was not good, may have been mattress which was not as comfortable as other places. Was walking distance to Downton Wanaka area but highway had to be crossed so we drove over and parked.

Gary the manager was great to deal with - very responsive and helpful. He provided lots of suggestions for activities, including the on-site spas. Due to a change in our schedule, we needed to add a second night, which involved moving rooms, and Gary did everything but hold our hand to get us resettled! Archways is in a great location, a short walk from all the activities in the alpine-like village of Wanaka. By winter this year, there should be a selection of 12 new suites as well.

The room rates were pricey - a combination of being in peak summer season and the proximity to Queenstown. But everything is expensive in the area. Apart from that, we hated having to leave!

We loved our staycation at Achway Motels and Chalets. Host Mark was exceptionally helpful and accommodating towards the guests requests. The accommodation had everything one would need for a comfortable stay including paid laundry and hot tubs. Our toddler enjoyed the swings and the trampoline in the kids play area at the front. The kitchen was well equipped including a microwave oven, and dishwasher. The rooms were very clean. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would give it a five star rating and would highly recommend this place. We would surely love to stay here again during our next visit to Wanaka

Wanaka is an amazing place to stay. I get the impression that most travellers use Wanaka as a stop off to the Glaciers like we did. If i was planning my trip again I would spend at least a few nights in Archway motel, Wanaka. The hosts Jacqui and Mark can not do enough for you, they really are the best hosts you could wish for. Mark went out of his way to help my wife and I reschedule our trip to the Glaciers following the road closure at Hass. I can not think him enough for his reassuring assistance. Add to the above, the chalets are extremely high-end, comfort, quality, home from home. My wife and I would stay here again and for longer if we get back to NZ. The property had everything you could ever need. If I traveled with a family, I would come here. The location and amenities are amazing! The laundry facilities were so useful for anyone trying to travel with carry on luggage. The owners went out of there way to make everything amazing for us! Even calling us after we left to let us know we left something behind - AND when they realized we were too far away to pick it up, they arranged shipment to our next location. I cannot say enough good things about the place. I would 1,000% stay here again.

Staff were friendly and shared a lot about what we could do in Wanaka and where to learn more. They informed us about the webcams around Wanaka that could tell us what the views looked like before we make the decision to trek there. Parking was easy and convenient, located right in front of each unit. Each unit had it's own wifi setup (wifi and password). The kitchen was functional, easy to use, and sufficiently stocked with basic cooking ware.

The windows don't see to be sealed tightly when closed, they are just latched. As a result, even when all the windows were closed and the heater was on, we felt a bit cold. To deal with this, we just increased the temperature on the thermostat. It's location is a bit farther from the places from Wanaka center, but as a result, you get a bit more space and solitude.

Lovely place, short walk from town, very comfortable rooms and the owners were very helpful and friendly. We made use of the Weber BBQ and the washing machines. The room was spacious and the couch was comfy. The shower was excellent temperature and pressure. Would definitely recommend and stay again. There is some construction behind the rooms to expand the place but it was very quiet and didn't disturb us at all.

Whilst the king bed in our 2 bedroom place was very comfy, the single beds were a little lumpy but still fine.

We were in the accessible chalet which had double bed & 2 x single bed - it was a great size room. It was only 3/4 minute walk to the Main Street in Wānaka, so location was great. The staff were very friendly & the room was very clean. Bathroom had headed floors which was appreciated. We accidentally left a charger there & they contacted us soon after leaving so we were able to go grab it, which was very much appreciated.

We visited on a multi-generational family trip: grandparent, parents + 2 kids. This place ticks all the boxes. It is serviced daily (so it stays nice and tidy when you’re rushing around) has a trampoline and play area for the kids, laundry and drying facilities. Plus a great location - walking distance to town and lake Wānaka. Can highly recommend and we would definitely stay again!
