Comfortable accommodation. Access to laundry. Close vicinity to town.

I was asked to pay with credit card regardless of the fact that the booking was made through Booking.com. Consequently the booking fee was taken out twice. After calling the motel in regards to this issue the pending transaction was not removed. I had to have several communications with my bank while overseas to rectify the matter, and it took 2 weeks to have my money returned to my account. I have since noted that in previous reviews others stated that they had the same problem and suspecting this to be a way to go around paying fees to the booking agency. As this has created considerable inconvenience during my travels I can not recommend the establishment regardless of it being a nice enough place to stay.

The front office staff was friendly and very helpful. Great suggestions for excursions and went over the map for town. The room was big. Liked the kitchen. Good sized bathroom.

It was weirdly in a residential area, but not too far from town. The parking was a little tight and wonky, but it wasn't a big impediment. When we arrived, the key was supposed to be in the room, but I found it laying on the ground outside the front door. Nothing to complain too much about.

Good facilities, ski drying room was a nice feature. Kitchenette was solid and had everything needed to prep some decent meals - sharp knives, peeler, pots, pans and even an air fryer. Rack for towels/clothes and also plenty of extra pillows and blankets if the need arises.

Pretty minor but the recycles bin was pretty small and wasn't emptied - but we started stacking stuff in and around it instead.

The owner of the motel was most friendly and helpful. The motel was very clean and spacious with good amenities. The location of the motel was close to the main town centre and the area the motel was situated in was very peaceful. Staying there was certainly value for money and was well up to standard as you would expect from a good motel in New Zealand. I fully recommend there and would stay there again if to return to Wanaka.

It would have been nice to have had a face cloth - flannel but managed without one however.

Eloise was super, so helpful throughout our trip. Such a friendly face of the motel. Heaters and electric blankets in every room. Exceeded our expectations! There was everything you could think of and more, including an airfryer, games, books, and bbq facilities. (We were a bit apprehensive as we were getting a bus from Queenstown in winter but the roads were super clear, no need for apprehension at all). We had a lovely time.

Host was welcoming, helpful, informative and engaging. Showed us map of Wanaka and all. Apartment was cosy and had what we needed. There's even an air fryer!

The bathroom heater was not working. Luckily there's a mobile heater which we placed near the bathroom sink. The heating was mild and slow but at least there's some heat to keep us a wee bit warm from the cold winter. We arrived rather late and it was already dark. Had a bit of a trouble identifying the motel as we couldn't see the motel signage out front lol. Would be good to have some sort of outdoor lighting on the signage. 😅

It was nicely redecorated inside and the bathroom very near new. I was needing something to suit my disability (I am in a wheelchair) and although Wanaka was very full and busy with two major events on at the same time we were very lucky to find somewhere and should have booked a lot earlier in advance (a good recommendation for a very busy tourism destination in any summer months ). So we didn’t get a designated accessible room due to booking too late but we were able to make it work - best advice don’t wait until last minute like we did! The only thing was the driveway in and out was paved with small type pebbles (little round stones) which play havoc to wheelchair wheels!). Luckily I was able to park quite close to the back of the unit where accessibility was almost stress free. I had some portable ramps with me so was able to use those to lay across the stones to the concrete pad outside the back door. For an older motel it was nicely decorated internally - could do with lining the drawers though in the kitchen but otherwise was actually comfortable, warm and very clean.

Lovely clean, quiet, warm apartment. The apartment was older style but everything was provided for a very comfortable stay. We had a kitchen with portable stove too, electric frying pan and air fryer so we cooked a meal on a very wet and cold night. The heating was good and we sat in comfortable chairs in the warmth. Beds had electric blankets and were comfortable.

More power points would be good otherwise everything was great.

The location is great, close to the lake front and far enough to be peaceful. The room comes with all you need for full cooking. Bathroom is very big. They give you new towels and empty rubbish everyday. Highly recommended.

The bed is a little too soft than my partner and I would like, however it is overall comfy and very clean.

A quiet and homelike stay in the wonderful town of Wanaka. Exceptional hospitality and customer service! This unit was fully equipped with kitchen utensils and even an air fryer. As a solo traveller this was an affordable option, but would definitely cater to small families or a group of travellers.

Although the heater warmed the unit after a while, I feel as though the beds could do with an extra blanket to beat the cold.
