Incredibly beautiful! The rooms are private, unique and comfortable. The location is out of town in a tranquil setting with wildlife and lush gardens.

The owner approached us as we were strolling the gardens and asked if we needed help. It was a bit of putting as it stated on the website that we were free to explore. Her approach could have been less inquisitive . She asked if we were guests right away as if we were just intruding. For the cost of the facilities, I would expect to feel more welcomed. Once she knew we were guests she tried to chit chat but at that point we were a bit offended.

The location. Set in a tranquil valley surrounded by forested hills, this is a very relaxing place to spend a few days. Although the restaurant is not open every evening there is a good selection of places to eat just 10minutes drive drive in the small town of Furness. The popular restaurants are busy at times so booking in advance is recommended, although on two nights our family group of 7 found no problem finding somewhere without advance booking. Very helpful friendly staff A hire car is essential as public transport is very limited in this corner of the island.

There is little to say. All good! The facilities are being improved with the addition of a spa, under construction while we were there. Not having the restaurant open every evening is a mild inconvenience - someone has to forgo wine or beer inorder to drive to the local restaurants

Gorgeous location and facility- wish we had been able to try the restaurant but we came on days that it was closed. Would recommend this space - our rooms were large and spacious, we had a little deck to enjoy as well as a kitchenette. Staff was incredibly warm and helpful and gave us great recommendations on places to eat and explore.

The floor was a little mildew-y just from the moisture within the space, not super strong but you could catch whiffs of it here and there. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

Glorious, magical location in an enchanted forest.

Temporarily, there is building work happening to create a beautiful spa and more cabins. The work goes on 9.00 - 13.00 and 15.00 - 17.00 more or less - so don't expect magical silence during these hours. ( But they work relatively quietly as they are doing one cabin at a time - and it is not intrusive visually. )

Excellent place to get close to the nature and escape city noise. The room was in a detached house, private entry and own mini kitchen. We had a terrace facing the forest. The place is equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The breakfast was superb, a lot of dished cooked with local products. Excellent service and great experience. Recommending a chefs dinner at the restaurant, it was very sophisticated.

Peaceful, Beautiful location and fantastic bird song

Drying clothes was a problem especially when staying for more than a few days - high humidity means clothes that are damp are hard to dry in the cabin. A dehumidifier would be a great addition

The breakfast was great but expensive. The location was beautiful and serene.

Our two rooms smelled like mold or mildew. There was a device that emitted a floral smell that was designed to mask the smell of the mildew (I assume) but it smelled worse than the mildew. Our bathroom window in 23 was hanging off one hinge and couldn't be opened and our coffee maker was broken. In unit 24 there was no coffee maker.

Cabins on quiet ground, a long way away from the road (the hotel is 10 minutes’ away from the town and a car is a must). Comfortable bed apart from the inflexible foam pillows. The room was furnished in a minimalistic way with sustainable material (which is great for the environment and we liked that). It was not luxurious, but it was nice and clean. Good rain shower in the bathroom. Very good breakfast: fresh food made on the premises (they have a farm) - jam, egg & bacon, some fresh fruit, pancakes, yogurt & muesli, homemade bread & cakes. Friendly staff, a nice exchange library and some board games you can borrow. Small swimming pool, but not heated (with 19°C water temperature only for the brave!).

The room smelt slightly of damp (it rained a lot the week we were on the island) and even the inside of the bed was a bit damp. The dinner in the restaurant was average and expensive. The food didn’t have much flavour and the portions were very small. We asked if we needed to order sides with our main course and we were told that it would be a substantial plate so we didn’t. We ordered fish and it came on a thin coulis of tomatoes and a spoonful of taramasalata, nothing else. We had better fish in other restaurants in the Azores & with vegetables for half the price. Strange considering their good breakfast. We paid close to €300 for 1 night, which is way overpriced.

Beautifully located to enjoy the pleasures of fabulous Furnas. Located close to the lake on a gorgeous rural setting. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant on the first night.

We didn’t self cater during our 2 night stay. Facilities to self cater pretty basic and functional.

Very very nice location and super helpful and friendly staff. Situated ideally in very charming and calming surroundings near to Furnas Lake for very nice blocks. Excellent restaurant and breakfast.
