staff hospitality is amazing, friendly, and always offering to go that extra mile for you. pools all warm despite the poor weather. spa facilities luxurious , restaurant food has a good selection and all perfectly cooked. Bar cocktails excellent visually and taste. Hotel even personalised a birthday cake ... honestly - service here is outstanding! we stayed in a few hotels across the island... Octants beats them all hands down. thankyou to all the staff! we have already recommended your hotel to future guests

literally everything was lovely ... but if I could add anything it would be to have a few more coffee capsules in the room ... having said this .. there is an out of hours coffee dispenser at reception... honestly no complaints here .. fabulous hotel.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay in Octant Furnas! We chose the hotel for the first three nights of our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The setting is so peaceful and we often had the outdoor pool completely to ourselves. Being able to walk around in robes was so relaxing and meant we had the loveliest time. The 24 hour pools are just the best experience. The staff are incredible and make you feel so special. The hotel is worth every penny for a truly relaxing and memorable experience. Thank you Octant Furnas! We wish we could’ve stayed for a week!

We came to the Azores to celebrate a birthday and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Yes, the weather completely changed our plans — but the hotel staff made up for it in every way. A special thanks to Mauro, who seemed to have started preparing for our arrival a week in advance! Lovely spa, perfect location, and an incredibly welcoming team. Also, the pool just outside the room was pleasantly heated. Everything was clean and the food was delicious.

This is truly a boutique hotel — and it looks a bit larger in the photos than it actually is. The same applies to the rooms, but although they are compact, there’s a well-sized wardrobe that comfortably fits belongings for two — which is not always the case in smaller spaces.

Thermal baths are really nice, especially that they are open 24H. It was a nice thing to end our day with. The room was generally clean, and there are nice treats in the room every evening which is nice. Location is great for Furnas.

Well, there were few issues that interrupted us. Firstly and most important- most rooms are facing the driveway and the parking. That’s not the view you wanna see, and also it seems that windows are see through so not a lot of privacy unless curtains are completely closed. We asked to change the room and until now they never got back to us with an answer.. The electricity plugs near the beds didn’t work. The outer pool was packed with dead insects and got cleaned only on our 3rd day. The Woden closet in the room smelled bad (like old wood that doesn’t ventilate properly) so we really didn’t want to put our thing in it.

We loved the restaurant , excellent room service , front desk , waiters , spa . I can say that the service is better than the Terra Nostra hotels (we stayed there last year) I want to come back here. The breakfast was excellent ! I recommend this hotel !

This hotel is our "Happy Place." From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by NAME! And a little drink, that helped ease our issues with cancelled flights! The rooms are lovely, the spa is amazing. The food is local and great. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The pools are phenomenal and one of the main reasons we stayed here [our second time.] Furnas is a beautiful place to visit. Breakfast is a wonderful selection of local items.

The outdoor dining area has a residual mildew/mold/damp smell that bothered me, so we ended up eating inside of all of our meals.

Friendly, bright and modern place. Fantastic thermal water pools, delicious breakfast, all set in a wonderful location. Four days were perfect to enjoy the hotel facilities and the idyllic setting. Enjoyed both meals I had in the restaurant, as well as the very amiable and helpful staff. I had a wonderful time.

It would have been nice to have something to dry your wet swimming clothes - like a spinner. Not a big deal, though.

We had a lovely stay at Octant Furnas. The rooms are nice with floor to ceiling windows, with small details that make it extra special, such as a Marshall speaker in every room, cute hats and a beach bag offered by the hotel, tea and coffee etc. The staff are all really kind and attentive. We were offered a wet towel and welcome drink when we arrived and while waiting to be checked in. The highlight of the hotel are the super relaxing heated indoor and outdoor pools and the spa area around them. It was so nice to swim outside in a heated pool under the rain :) The hotel also offers a very rich, diverse and delicious breakfast, served in a beautiful space. The lobby bar is really cozy, with good drinks, nice music and fun board games! The location of the hotel is also very beautiful, surrounded by so much greenery and very close to the main town of Furnas (walking distance). A car is needed and recommended to get to other places around the island of course. We would surely stay there again!! Highly recommended!

The room we got was right above the restaurant, which meant that whenever we opened the curtains, we would be looking down unto the restaurant and the guests there. The hotel assured us that the windows are tinted to guarantee privacy but it just felt a bit weird. We asked to changed rooms and the staff were quick to propose another room (the only other one available, for the next day, as they were fully booked). We eventually decided to stay in our room and it was quite comfortable nonetheless!

The thermal pools were excellent, it was great to have a mix of different temperatures and indoor and outdoor pools. Amazing to have with the changing weather! It was a peaceful location, in particular swimming in the outdoor pool amongst luscious green hills! The staff were incredible, they really went above and beyond to make our stay for our honeymoon special. We would definitely return to Octant Furnas!

Octant were aware of wear and tear issues in the building so are renovating it to maintain its high standards. We would agree that this work is essential from our experience.

A gorgeous hotel with a fantastic thermal pool that is available to use 24hrs a day! There’s a steam room and sauna also, a gym that had everything you would need for a great workout. The restaurant is stunning and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay on the island. If you are visiting Sao Miguel we found this location perfect. Hire a car and you can take trips to any part of the island in a day.

The only negative part of our trip was the first night, as there was an event in the restaurant it meant we were unable to have dinner when we arrived. Although we were not disappointed with the restaurants that surrounded the hotel!
