I liked everything, the staff were so welcoming and inviting. The rooms were nice, fresh and quiet. The “mamas dinner” was worth going to the first night to get to know people. I would stay here again and this was my first hostel experience. Very central and easy to find and go out at night and explore. The rooms have their own hallway so there is space between the sleeping area and the common area.
There could have been more food during the night when coming back to the hostel after at night out. There was empanadas one night and it was perfect, thanks to Ivo who worked evenings/nights in the bar/reception and we as guests felt to continue the party due to the warm welcoming back from a night out!

Staff is so great, very friendly and ready to help with any problem, all of them fluent in english, and I heard spanish speakers too other than portugese. The shower water pressure and temperatures stability are amazing. The hostel is cozy and big, has a lot of common rooms, easy to use kitchen, terrace, has a girls only area, and they employ house rules to ensure everyone is having a good time I recommend Mama's dinner. It's good food and value for money, very nice atmosphere, and mama is just a sweetheart, it's nice that they allow outsiders too. Inside the room : Comfy bed, private and big storage, and lights and sockets inside. The upper beds didn't have a curtain, but also there are no lights on the ceiling flashing in your eyes. Stayed in 204, which is right next to terrace but no noise after 22.30. Sometimes smelly on the closed hallways, but not in the rooms or bigger areas. Area in the city very good, close to a lot of stuff, easy to get everywhere, metro and bus station closeby. Towels you can get with a deposit, bathroom has soap and hair dryer, bring your own ammenities. Cleaning staff came once every day. They also have a coin laundry room, for washing and drying and I saw an iron as well. Overall great experience, stayed for a week and would do it again.

It's a very well located hostel in the city centre of Lisbon. Extremely organised and very clean. A room with a comfortable bed and privacy. It has an excellent, friendly staff (thanks Jasmin, Liz, IA, Manu) and everyone else, not forgetting the cleaning and breakfast team! You have everything you need to make your trip to Lisbon unforgettable. Bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and of the highest quality. Shopping Centre open until late . It has a very positive atmosphere and great energy. A safe area for any woman travelling alone! I would definitely recommend Home Lisbon Hostel. Thank you for having me!

This hostel exceeded my expectations. I've traveled a lot and have stayed in countless hostels. Home was by far the nicest one I have ever stayed in, and I was only there for a night!! Staff was warm and welcoming, the space is BEAUTIFUL and filled with family heirlooms and photos, location is centrally located and easy to find. If you get the opportunity to have a Mama's dinner, I 10000% recommend it! It was worth the extra cash. Food, wine, and company were excellent and were the perfect send-off for my last night in Europe. I would stay here again no question!

Home Lisbon Hostel is located in the heart of Lisbon, just a few steps from Baixa, Chiado and the iconic Santa Justa Elevator. Surrounded by typical cafés, charming shops and incredible restaurants, it is the ideal starting point to explore the city on foot and experience the best of Lisbon with comfort and convenience. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for all the attention and care I received during my stay. A very special thank you to Reese, who was always extremely attentive and available, ensuring that I had everything I needed. I would also like to mention Jasmin, from reception, whose friendliness and kindness made my experience even more welcoming. I would also like to acknowledge the professionalism and kindness of other members of the team, who helped to make me feel truly at home: a big thank you to Mariana, Manuel, Gui, Manu (from Argentina), Naila and Ewa. To everyone, my most sincere thanks for providing me with such a pleasant stay. A warm hug, and see you soon. Paula

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I immediately felt welcomed by the extremely friendly staff upon arrival. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful and they seem to enjoy their work which reflects well on management. I went on the morning walking tour and Sintra tour and both of these really went so far beyond my expectations. I was expecting just the usual tourist attractions, but we went to places that I wouldn't necessarily have found by myself. Both the guides were also really fun and nice guys who gave great recommendations. The dinners were also really nice. The food was obviously great but the team also creates a lovely atmosphere during these that really gets everyone talking. I made so many friends here, several I am still talking to consistently a month after going home. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were actually so good which I feel like never happens at accommodation. The whole place is super cozy and the beds were so comfortable and the pillows were supportive. The attention to detail that went into making this place is evident as everything, like suitcase sized locker drawers under the beds, is so convenient. Feels like a place made by hostel-goers for hostel-goers. As a woman travelling alone I felt so safe here. But even then I was barely alone. This was the most social trip of my life. I would come back to Lisbon just to hang out here. I miss Home!

I stayed in a private room. This was the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my room (so adorable) did have a mold smell (in the bathroom) and as I'm allergic, they were able to move me to an extra room which i appreciated. Mama's dinner was great. I thought it might be a gimmick but saw Mama cooking in the kitchen so I had to try it the next night. Don't sleep on the breakfast, it was great and such a good value for 5 euros. The lift was nice too but note you do have to go up several steps to get to it. The area my room was in was very quiet. A surprise in a hostel.
The mold issue, although it definitely was not from lack of cleanliness as the rooms were very clean. It's just an old building and I know that can generally be a problem in Europe.

This was an incredible hostel. The rooms were the nicest I've ever had in one with a large, comfortable bed, big storage drawer, thick curtains and a handy little shelf. The rooms and bathrooms were kept very clean as well and the laundry facilities were great. The real highlights were Mama's dinners and the breakfasts though which were delicious and great value. They have created a wonderful homely atmosphere here with the furniture and décor and it was an brilliant place for meeting other travellers. The location was excellent in the central Baixa neighbourhood. It was overall great value for money too and the staff were very welcoming and always happy to help. Highly recommended.

The *atmosphere* of the hostel is pure magic. The vibrant energy of the common areas, with cozy couches, funky decor, and a constant flow of laughter and chatter, made me feel like I was a part of something special. I met travelers from all corners of the world, each one with a unique story and a beautiful soul. We bonded over shared meals, late-night conversations, and spontaneous adventures. It felt like one big family, united by the joy of travel and the excitement of new experiences. About the staff what should I say? Just incredible (Yasmin, Juliana, Manu, Lins, Naila, Jasmin, Julia) no words to express how friendly they are. Made me feel like I was a part of the family.
