The location was fantastic. The room was comfortable but a tad small. Night staff was pleasant and very helpful. We liked that we could have a cup of tea at night after a long day and bringing home a pastery from a local bakery.

Room is very small, one of the smallest we've been in for awhile, we made it work. A little mold in shower would be nice to be cleaned out. The elevator need to be working and reliable. We sent our luggage up and the elevator stopped 3/4 of the way to the door. I didn't trust it when leaving, so I carried large luggage from the 3rd (2nd in europe) to the front desk. Not and easy task for seniors.

The location

1- The elevator was not working. 2- They requested 35 euros for airpprt transfer (5 people) but it was only 11 euros by an ordinary taxi. I recommend to use normal taxi.

This is an excellent hotel for short stays when you know you will spend most of the time out of the hotel. The location right at the heart of Lisbon could not be better. Beds were comfortable and bathroom is clean. You have to expect small rooms and small bathrooms in this kind of old building, but as a place to lay your head at the end of the day and night, it is perfect. Also given the price, you would not expect a really full cooked breakfast or anything cooked to order, but it was perfectly adequate for what my friends and I needed. Decent pastries and continental if you want it. Plenty of coffee all ready for you.

I can't say I disliked anything

Location is great in terms of central location. The hotel is charming, and the French balconies provide fresh air and city sounds to some rooms. In-room refrigerator was a welcome addition. Well-kept up property has a spacious and stylish breakfast room.

Hotel desperately needs a more functional elevator. The tiny unit barely fits 1 person with luggage and as there is just one it is usually in use. Plus it is very slow and temperamental. Also it only goes as far as the third floor, so if you are on the 4th you still have to walk. Highly recommend requesting a lower floor room to avoid this nuisance. Room was tiny, albeit charming. A handy side door was always locked, necessitating walking through the lobby each time. Hotel is located on a pedestrian street, so you have to walk a bit to get there. And is definitely not in a quiet neighborhood!

The location - really central, just off the Main Street, 5 minute walk to Placa do Comercio. Plenty of restaurants and mini markets nearby. The price per night was very competitive - excellent value for money. The bed was super comfy and the room facilities were excellent. The bathroom and shower were a decent size. The staff were very polite - receptionists, breakfast staff and cleaners. Breakfast was decent for the price - a lot of bread. The pastries were delicious! Overall I loved it here - would definitely recommend it for location, price and comfort.

The only downside to my stay was the building work happening nearby, starting very early in the morning, one day around 5am. Not the hotel’s fault. I stayed mid-April, so hopefully the building work has finished!

ANNA, IARA, HENRY were the front desk staff. All three were great and answered my many questions regarding taking the metro and day trips away.

The elevator was out of service. No big deal since I travel light. My room AC was noisy and did not work.

Great location. Has a 1 person lift but enough to get your luggage upstairs which was much appreciated. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Terrific location(but ++noisy until11pm) with superb staff and generous breakfast. FIX THE ELEVATOR🤬! And restore the ground floor luggage store room: both major unpleasantnesses for older or non-athletic guests. Staff: Raquel, Nidia,Diogo (and the futebol star reception fellow) among others are all assets (and who helped overcome the nightmare of getting luggage upstairs).

See above (room clothing storage was a challenge; a wardrobe for mini-sized clothes…a few wall hooks would have helped). Despite the shortcomings, I would happily come back, especially given the helpful staff.
