Loved everything! We had the suite at the top. This apartment is exquisite! The large bed is very comfortable with a luxurious bathroom en-suite. Lobby area with a small fridge, coffee machine and dainty tea cups was beautiful. Very spacious throughout with additional separate shower and toilet. Beautiful lavender toiletries ‘on tap’ - the whole apartment was impeccably clean throughout and the deco was to die for! Perfectly located in the lower end of the city close to plenty of restaurants and bars but was quiet overnight.

If anything it would be the view as it’s in a narrow street but we didn’t spend much time in the apartment so wasn’t affected.

THE PLACE IS EXCELLENT,EXCACTLY AT THE CENTER OF THE CITY EVERYTHING IS SO CLOSE ROOM WAS VERY BIG AND COMFORT,WITH TWO BATHROOMS AND A SMALL LIVING ROOM VERY CLEAN WITH ALL THE AMENITIES,ENOUGH SPACE TO PACK YOUR THINGS AND MOVE VERY NICE DECORATION

1.THERE WAS NO FRIDGE IN THE ROOM (UNACCEPTABLE) THEY BROUGHT ONE THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR DEPARTURE,I HOPE THEY KEEP IT FOR THE NEXT CUSTOMER 2.IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO LEAVE YOUR LUGGAGE IN A DIFFERENT PLACE THAN THE ONE YOUR ARE SUPPOSED TO STAY (IN PALACIO DAS ESPERIARIAS) AND THEN TAKE A TAXI TO GET TO THE ROOM.THERE HAS TO BE A PLACE AND SOMEBODY RESPONSIBLE TO PICK UP THE LUGGAGE AND KEEP THEM IN CASIHNA DOS SAPATEIROS UNTIL THE CHECK IN TIME COMES

Excellent location within walking distance of all main attractions and areas. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious room. Spotlessly clean. We booked a superior suite and it was fantastic, with two bathrooms and two sitting areas.

The check in process was a bit unclear, more information prior to arrival would have been nice (only received the code at 14.50 with checkin at 1500), and there was no option to store bags when we arrived in Lisbon early morning. However once into the property it was absolutely perfect. Some noise from street level which may be disruptive if very light sleeper, but the excellent location was worth this compromise

The Stay was great it started with us arriving into Lisbon around 11am. We knew check in was stated as 3pm but I emailed and asked anyway. Around 12 we had been given the code for the building and room which was really nice. The apartment was very unique and just so large brilliant value for money and it felt very safe and very cozy. Had everything you expect, great shower pressure,comfy bed, Aircon etc. The location was brilliant it's literally in the center of Lisbon you are a quick walk away from the pink street for nightlife and have brilliant shops and attractions right by you for during the day. I would find it very difficult to not pick this apartment again should I return to Lisbon tbh. Prior to your stay they sent me a message on booking.com as you have to complete a form for the government telling them about your stay. This is a requirement and the CANNOT give you your code until this is done. I couldn't get the government site to let me send it away so I told the hotel this and they were able to help me do this.

I guess the only complaint could be the noise at night but it's very very minor and it's because as I said you are literally in the center I didn't mind but if you are a bit sensitive I would suggest earplugs.

The room is in a great location, a little smaller than the pictures but still very roomy for two. Really easy to contact the staff if we had any issues. I would definitely stay here again. Nice coffee facilities in the room as well. Great value for money as well.

Such a small thing so almost doesn't feel worth mentioning. A voucher was mentioned for a discounted breakfast which then transpired my booking was not eligible for. Again, I was not expecting a voucher in the first place, but felt a shame that once it had been mentioned, it wasn't offered to us. That being said, it didn't ruin the trip, and definitely didn't affect the room or our stay.

The location of the building is right in the middle of town with everything nearby. The apartment was very spacious with amazing decorations and comfortable bed and the smell of cinnamon in the halls gave it a great touch.

The communication with the hosts is really bad. The didn’t reply on booking so that we can get our access code to the building even though we did the online check-in and payed the fees. We had to contact booking client services so that we can get through to them in a different number than the one listed on the website

The suite was large and comfy. Plenty of space to spread out. The bed was great. Liked the little library outside our door. Excellent location! The staff was fantastic. Although the suite was a 10 min walk from the main hotel (the “palace”) they were always available. Especially appreciated Luís walking with us from the hotel (where you check in and get your code) to our suite. He even carried all our stuff!

Nothing. Great location and great staff. The code for our building and room didn’t work but Luis and others stuck with it until things were resolved. The tiny desk top refrigerator is a bit silly (albeit cute). Very little will fit. A beer maybe. Plenty of space for a mini fridge.

The location was perfect, close to everything and safely located. The property was just awesome, we had room #4 (1st floor) and it was very nice, neat, clean, well maintained! Perfect room size for 2 people with nice comfy bed and pillows, bathroom was great (loved the shower) and nice small sitting area with 2 chairs! I love how the room and entire apartment was nicely decorated! The entrance hallway/staircase smells so good and the building entrance with couch was a very nice touch! It was also such an easy check in process as long as you do the early online check in and pay the required city taxes online, we we’re able to get our access door code the day of and since our room was ready, we were also able to check in/get in couple hours earlier which was great! Everyone at Casinha dos Sapateiros was very helpful, accommodating and quickly replied to all my inquiries via their online chat message or using the WhatsApp application. They were all very responsive and great with all the communications. THANK YOU to all the staff at Casinha dos Sapateiros! I would highly recommend this place!

The place itself was nicely furnished and spacious. There was a lot of space to hang clothes, a dressing table, iron, kitchen with a fridge. There was soap/shampoo/toilet roll always available. There was a housekeeper that would come everyday to change the towels, make the bed and supply a new bottle of water and coffee pods (which was a pleasant surprise!). It's in the heart of the centre, close to food places and restaurants; saying this, the road itself is fairly quiet so you don't hear loud outside noises in the night!

- We had to wait for a code on arrival from the owner - I would suggest having the owners number saved (not through booking.com) so you can message them but they reply really quickly. - It is quite an old building, and we were on the second floor (Room 8). Whenever someone was walking in the room above we could hear loud footsteps and the ceiling lights would shake a little. If you are light sleeper, this can be annoying.

Wow, the room was beautiful and spacious! I had all these fears when I read some reviews from Google but on Bookings it was positive. Bookings was right, beautiful room and location was fantastic with restaurants and famous plazas just minutes away. I can't say enough good things about this place. We had a deluxe superior room on the third floor was really perfect no noise from the street.

So the check in was a issue. We were suppose to get the code at 3PM the day of check in but it never came. I had to contact the people on WhatsApp to get the code because I got no response from the Bookings message system. I was persistent to get the code since it was for both the room door and the front safety door. We got in late after 10 PM so I wanted to make sure our check in was good. The next day we found two other groups in front of the door at 4PM and they each never got their code either so we helped them with the WhatsApp number and they called and got their codes so something here needs to change so people can have a flawless check in. Also the Elevator starts on the first floor so be prepared to carry all bags up the first flight of stairs.
