The location is great, very central and close to the Metro. The windows are soundproof so it blocks noise from outside. The room was very clean and had good facilities (bottled water, towels, satellite TV, hair dryer, air conditioning). The complimentary bottle of red wine and pastel de natas in the room upon arrival were a nice touch. Overall, the room was nice as was the building. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful (we checked in out of hours and the instructions were clear and provided promptly given our delayed flight).

The windows were soundproof, but the hotel room door was not. We were on the first floor and you could hear everything going on in the hall way and reception area so we were awoken each morning by this. On the final night we could hear people in the room above moving about until 2am. For this reason I wouldn’t describe the room as sound proofed unfortunately. The tap/pipes in the bathroom were also very loud but we appreciate that it may have been the age of the property which added to the charm and look of the place.

The location was perfect and so central to everything. The staff were super lovely and helpful.

My husband and I stayed at Esqina Urban Lodge during our trip to Lisbon last week. Our room was clean, the beds were super comfortable, everything was very nicely decorated and it was super cozy. We also liked that we could watch netflix or youtube on the smart tv before bed. Esqina Urban Lodge is very central, right in the heart of the tourist area, there are a ton of restaurants around, and it is very conveniently located just a 2 minute walk from the metro station and a short walk from the famous Barrio Alto. Honestly, even though it's right in the middle of the city buzz, we did not hear any of the noise from the outside in our room. We also loved the convenience and just how easy it was to get to the hotel! Another thing worth mentioning is that the hotel has an elevator from the second floor. The staff at the hotel was also awesome! During our stay, Jameth was of great help! He was friendly, welcoming, always attentive and willing to help with any questions we had - he recommended locations to eat, offered us an umbrella for the rain and always made sure to check in if we needed anything! Frederico was also kind! This is a great find at a great price in the heart of Lisbon perfect for your next stay and the staff make your stay even more enjoyable!

Everything was perfect

I can highly recommend this hotel. Location is excellent, but the most important is welcoming staff there. Ladies were very helpful with all questions I had and they were always friendly. Room was small, but it was enough for my stay. Really nice gesture with welcome gift in form of wine and tarts :) Everyday, I was asked if I need anything, etc.

As for me, it was a business trip, so, I was missing some desk and chair to work. It would be also nice to have more space for clothes (just 4 clothes hangers on one spot on the wall, no wardrobe).

The location couldn't have been better. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we received a lovely welcome with a small bottle of Portugese red wine and to Pasteis de Natas! The room was large, bright, and the beds were comfortable, and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The air con was quiet which is a rare bonus. We have already recommended the Esquina Lodge to friends and family!

Being extremely picky, the only slight negatives were that there was an airlock in bathroom basin's cold tap that was noisy, and a full-length mirror in the room would have been nice.

Location is great as a tourist. Plenty of lovely cafes near by! Property felt boutique and secure. Bed is comfortable. Great sized room. Bathroom clean. I loved the sink in the bedroom, makes everything easier! Staff are very friendly. Recieved a bottle of wine and tart on arrival which was lovely ! We got upgraded on our first night which was generous!

Bedroom floor was dirty when we arrived. There were renovations going on which was noisy during the day - wish we were told this before arriving!

The location was wonderful and the room was lovely. The views from the windows were picturesque. The staff was really amazing. They really made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. For anyone booking, this is a great option. Our room did have an AC and there is an elevator (you do have to go up 1 floor to access but it's not bad). They also provide soap/shampoo in the bathroom which saves you from packing anything extra :D. You're right near a bakery too which is great for the mornings, and you're very close to sites and great shops. As a tip, be sure to communicate your arrival time so you can access the building and leave luggage while you explore the city. I forgot to do that but they were so nice and accommodating when I showed up early.

Lots of welcoming messages so we were met and already checked in on arrival. Bright double room with balcony door for fresh air. Douro vino and fresh custard tarts were a nice welcome. A short stroll to Metro, riverfront and main square for sunsets, trams and downtown walking tours. Great advice provided on good value eating and a map of main areas to see. Consistently lovely Reception staff assisted in securing an early morning taxi to the Airport.

The elevator ends on the first floor (!) with a flight of stairs down to Reception. Assistance with bags was offered, so not a big deal. We stayed for an additional night in a smaller room: it was fine if a little too compact.

Located right in the centre of the Baixa district, this charming, cosy hotel was in the middle of everything - an easy walk to just about anywhere you would like to go. Central, yet, still comfortable and quiet in the evenings. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, checking in via text to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was small, but that it to be expected in these old buildings, and I would definitely recommend a stay in this location for any singles/couples visiting Lisbon.

I'd prefer a room with a full bathroom, rather than the toilet/shower stalls, and handbasin in the main room, but I knew what I was getting, and it was perfectly clean and acceptable for the stay.

The location was great for exploring Lisbon. Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable.

It's helpful to know that it's necessary to climb 2 flights of stairs before getting to the elevator. There are no common areas at all. There was no closet in our room, just a place on the wall to hang clothes. The shower is quite small - difficult to get in and out of, and there was not much space to put our toiletries out.
