Due to a change in our flight schedule, we arrived in Lisbon one day earlier than expected. Our original hotel was fully booked for that night, so we made a last-minute reservation at Casual Belle Époque Lisboa — and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a charming Belle Époque style, with a comfortable room and very friendly staff. Its location is excellent, Just a few meters from the hotel entrance, there are two public elevators that make getting around Lisbon extremely easy. One elevator takes you down to the flat, central area near the Santa Justa Lift, surrounded by restaurants and shops. The other elevator goes uphill directly to the Castelo de São Jorge, giving you effortless access to one of Lisbon’s most iconic landmarks. This convenient setup made exploring the city smooth and enjoyable. The breakfast felt just like home — abundant and comforting. We would have happily extended our stay here if our next hotel booking hadn’t been non-refundable.

The hotel was so lovely. Renovated, clean rooms, fabulous bed. The breakfast was one of the best i have had. All the pastries and cakes were home made and there was plenty of choice with fresh fruit, cooked eggs, ham, cheese, etc. Staff were friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. Great walking location to all major attractions. Was really good for me as a solo traveller. Look forward to booking again next year 😉

The hotel is in excellent location, the rooms are big enough and the noise isolation (from the street) is perfect. The beds are very comfortable and the staff was very nice and sweet. A special thanks to Carlos who was more than helpful, either for the stay but also gave me good advice regarding my visits and sightseeing. I recommend this hotel that is in an excellent location in Lisbon (near the tramway 28, other tramway lines, Rossio, plaza Figueroa…) as well as many nice restaurants and Tons of Brunch places. May be the bathrooms are small but this is just if I want to be silly ☺️

Superb staff, great location, immaculate room, superb breakfast. Close to everything. Major supermarket was only a half block away and I was able to buy snacks and beverages at very low prices. Wonderful dining choices on every street. Very safe neighborhood. Exceptional everything. I cannot wait to return. (Room was beautifully equipped with tea kettle, fridge, desk, top of the line flat screen TV.) Room was very large and faced the interior, so there was NO street noise. Bed was extremely comfortable with high quality sheets. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choices. Served 7-11 AM which is unheard of in most hotels. Superb value for the money. The staff was so helpful, friendly and professional. I hope to return very soon.

There was nothing I did not like. It was exceptional.

The staff are super friendly— the best ever, especially Nuno, Kiro at the reception. They provided dog treat to my assistance dog, and very kindly and patiently advised on restaurant, places to visit and everything every time needed. They run the hotel with passion not just work. Have a chat with them becomes an essential part of the over whole experience . The location is perfect. It contains all facilities, such as small fridge. And the shampoo lotion is of good quality and decent scent. The breakfast is five star level — with diverse options and new items each day.

Location was perfect. In the heart of a very walkable city. There was a nearby elevator for moving from a lower street to the location of the hotel. Gives you a break from climbing the stairs. Outside my room was a 400 year old convent undergoing restoration. The room was large with plenty of clothing storage. The shower in the bathroom was roomy and the water was always hot. Wi-Fi worked consistently. The small lounge and bar within the hotel offered a respite after a day if sightseeing. The breakfast was perfect. Choices of hot entrees, sliced meats and cheeses, cut fruits, and cereal. Good basics and then some. Plenty of coffee, juices and multiple tea choices. Hotel employees were helpful with directions and other information. Postal drop boxes were within a short walk. There is even a laundromat nearby. Restaurants provide almost any kind of cuisine. Historic and cultural sites within walking or public transport distance.

Not a thing. There was construction noise during the day due to a restoration of a convent next door. But it was quiet at night. The hotel is located on a rather hilly street and the climb up is steep, but nothing that one can't do. I did it and I am older and use a cane. Great exercise!

The room was comfortable and very welcoming. The friendliness of the staff could not be beaten. When we arrived we were given a very helpful summary of the area. When we left we asked if we could have access to breakfast 10 minutes earlier and it was granted with no problem. The location is excellent with good access to the main sights of Lisbon

Breakfast was excellent but, to be really picky, as tea drinkers we missed a place to dispose of our teabags and the lack of stir sticks. There could have been more choice of fruit at breakfast, but there was nice fresh pineapple and melon and overall the choices were tasty and very satisfacturoy.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, a member of staff gave us all their recommendations of Lisbon and the best areas to go. The location was very central.

The air conditioning was very poor. It was only blowing warm air and we found the room very stuffy. We did contact reception about this and we were told it was more of a fan than air conditioning so it wasn’t great. There was also an awful smell coming from the drains. We also notified the reception staff about this and they did come up and clean the drains and toilet but it didn’t help with the smell unfortunately.

Prior to when I booked there, I contacted them regarding vegan options in the breakfast menu - my request was fulfilled, and I received a very welcoming feeling from the moment we stepped there. Everyone was super friendly, and it always felt like they were doing extra steps to make sure we were happy. My brother booked a few weeks after me (I was planning to go alone at first), and they contacted me about us having the same surnames. When I asked why, they told they wanted to make sure we'll stay on the same floor - this was never asked for by me and VERY alert and considering by them. All of that I mentioned indicates that this place is being run very efficiently and by very nice people, hiring very nice staff to go with. Oh, and don't get me started on the location, which was excellent - we were close to everything and everywhere.

Seriously, even if we tried, we couldn't find a single thing to dislike about this place - HIGHLTY RECOMMENDED

The location is perfect, it’s on a walking distance from everything. The stuff is very kind and helpful. We had a problem with the room, and they changed it without hesitation. They even gave us a map with some tips for the city. I recommend it, and we will be back definitely.

Loved everything, except the carpets in the room, would be cleaner without them. The breakfast can be improved.
