Right in the heart of the old part of town. Easy for drop off by Uber or Taxi to get bags into hotel (we had 4 suitcases). Staff were very friendly and you could help yourself to cake and coffee available in the dining room from 2pm. Buffet breakfast was excellent and they even do scrambled eggs on request.

It is at the top of a hill so getting back after a days outing might be a struggle for some people, however there is a lift in a building a few doors down that operates until 9pm that you can use to get down to the street behind the hotel (I only wish the concierge had told us as we only discovered it on our last day). There was no bar fridge in the room so if you like cold water or a beer after your day out it is not possible. Maybe they could have an ice machine in the dining room where patrons can grab their own ice?

Great location just a few minutes walk from many sights, shops, and places to eat! It is located right atop a street with a slight hill on either side, but definitely worth it for the location as you cant quite avoid hills in Lisboa either way :P the staff was very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and they offer tea and coffee in a lovely little “living room” area on the second floor. And the view from the room itself was great! Would definitely stay here again next time I visit the lovely city of Lisbon!

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in Lisbon! The building is stunning, full of history and gorgeous Portuguese tiles that have been so well preserved. The location was perfect too—just a short walk to all the main sights, great restaurants, and lots of shops. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated that they invited us to have breakfast when we arrived early before check-in—it was such a nice touch. Breakfast itself was amazing, served in a beautifully decorated living room, and the fresh pastel de nata straight from the oven were the highlight! We’d definitely stay here again and can’t wait to try other FLH Hotels in the future.

All of the staff were amazing. When we arrived, they called us by name and welcome to us into a lovely reception area. They took care of all of our bags because it was morning in our room with it ready. A decanter of port and a decanter of water are there for guests to enjoy. The breakfast room and the living room were both fabulous! Besides breakfast every day, they had freshly baked cake for the guests. As well, they offered cookies, tea, coffee and water 24/7. They do not have a restaurant, but there are restaurants close by as well as a nice mini market across the road where you can take out deli foods to eat in the large elegant breakfast room.

Nothing except Portugal is really hilly and it was slightly difficult maneuvering some of the hills to get around.

We had the room with the balcony (west facing so catches the sun in the evening) and the view was epic! Breakfast was tasty and the location of the hotel was great for public transport and all the sights. Didn’t realise but there was a fridge and kettle in the room as well as a good quality hairdryer. There is a supermarket just across from the hotel entrance. The hotel is located at the top of a steep hill but there are elevators (lifts) from the next street so you can avoid the hill (turn right when you leave the hotel and the building with the lifts is a few doors down). There is also an elevator in the supermarket across the road which takes you most of the way up to the castle. Cake and coffee in the dining room is such a good idea!

Pillows were too soft for us and room heating wasn’t great (we weren’t sure if it was working or not). We got soaked in the rain and found it hard to dry off our clothing. It was near the end of the holiday so not too much of an issue.

Great, Central location. The building is beautiful with an authentic feel. Friendly and helpful staff. Exceptionally clean rooms with good facilities, including kettle with tea and coffee, water and glasses, and a small fridge. The rooms were light and airy with a good number of hangers and storage space. The bathroom had shower gel and shampoo. The buffet breakfast was fabulous with plenty of options and fresh produce being added as needed. The addition of a teatime cake as well as 24-hour access to tea and coffee was so good. I would not hesitate to recommend it. Excellent.

The breakfast was wonderful and Giovanni was especially incredible to assist us in having breakfast early both days due to our schedule. We are so grateful for his kindness and understanding. Lara, at the front desk when we arrived personally helped us with our luggage while checking in due to the hotel’s busy street. We so appreciated her hospitality and support. The hotel itself is beautiful, especially the breakfast room and its gorgeous ceiling. Our experience was lovely.

A refrigerator in the room and luggage racks for larger suitcases could be helpful. Also, a comment is the way the bathroom door opens makes for a very tight entry. A shower stool could really help when shaving. We noticed most hotels we visited in Portugal do not offer these, but it would be a plus.

Excellent, central location. Short walk to the main shopping streets and tourist attractions, including Tram 28 bus stop. Beautiful, historic building with magnificent, original features. Good selection for the continental breakfast, including healthier options such as plain yoghurt, oats, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, boiled eggs as well as the usual cold meats, cheeses and breads. Staff were polite but unobtrusive. Everywhere was incredibly clean and well maintained. Freshly baked cake and biscuits available free of charge in the afternoon, along with tea/coffee which was a nice touch.

Our bedroom was nicely presented, clean and spacious but there was very little clearance from the wall from the foot of the bed which made it awkward to navigate, especially in the dark. The glass bathroom door opened inwards, so you had to shuffle around it to enter the bathroom and then be able to shut the door behind you. This wouldn't put us off staying again, perhaps it was just this one bedroom which was an awkward shape??

The property was light and airy. Quite basic but very clean. Staff were always on hand to help you. They were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was varied from porridge, fresh fruit, toast and pastries as well as requesting scrambled egg. The location was quiet being just outside the main, busy tourist area.

The hotel was halfway up a hill, therefore you needed to have hood mobility. No tea or coffee facilities in the room, although you could access tea/coffee from the main dining room any time.

Location is excellent, very close to multiple public transport locations, restaurants and wine bars galore in easy walking distance. The staff were very helpful with everything we asked for at all hours, and the free glasses of port available at the front desk didn't hurt one bit! The continental breakfast was lovely, plenty of options and everything fresh and high quality, set in a beautifully furnished room. Bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was modern and the shower in particular was excellent. Overall a great quality hotel that doesn't break the bank, while still offering a high standard and comfortable place to stay in the heart of the city.

The laundry service advertised on their services list was actually no longer available, but the information had not been updated yet. Staff did try to assist us with other local options, but all would've required us to manage the process ourselves, which is not our expectation from a hotel.
