Loved this place! Location fabulous, easy to get to from the underground (from airport 30mins). My room was on 3rd floor, room 10, quiet but next to the kitchen area and had private shower room. Staff very reactive, I had a problem getting the key out of box, and they replied immediately with a video. I left my bagages during the day but if you can't there are 2 bagage storage shops in the street which could be helpful. On each floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, nespresso and kettle. Fridge and dishwasher. You can cook and hang out there. I'd say it's imperative to tell them your arrival time as a housekeeper is there most of the day, but the day I left she was leaving at the end of the afternoon. Maybe someone else replaces her for client check in. I would definitely come back as it's so central and good price!

I almost didn't come here because of the complicated arrival instructions, but it wasn't that bad. You will be sent the entrance door code which enables you to get inside where you have to go to 1st floor and knock on the door on the LEFT (not indicated) They will then give you the wifi code so you can accept the whatsapp telling you which is your floor number (code for floor door!) Then a key box code for your room on that floor. The box opening is difficult with long nails as you have to hold one button down while simultaneously pulling the protection forward.... however once it's done and you have your key, no need to do that again ;-) Be prepared to go up several floors as no lift ;-)

Great location, in the centre of the city. It was a bit confusing to get in, after opening the front door with code there was no one to ring and so we had to call the front desk to come get us. But the acommodation was clean, well serviced, the only disadvantage was that the room was a bit small and the bathroom was for the floor, which I however counted with. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a clean and reliable hostel in town.

The walls are thin+size of the room

Excellent location, right in the middle of Lisbon's historic district of Baixa. Amicable staff who let me leave my bags at the property much earlier than the official check-in time—something I was worried about as there was no information regarding this issue here on Booking. The room felt very modern, and the common area of the guesthouse was well-equipped.

The room was quite small, indeed, but this isn't really a problem if you are traveling only with a carry-on. The shared bathrooms also get nasty quickly, especially if you don't shower early in the morning. Yet, the daily housekeeping made sure these were regularly cleaned, so I can't complain much.

Excellent location, very close to the attractions of the historical Lisbon as well as close to the underground station. Place is very tidy, our room was cleaned every day, as was the common area. Friendly staff, convenient check in and check out. A nice room, comfy bed, a well furnished common kitchen. And the building itself is a very beautiful historic tenement house with the interesting decor. Overall, I'd say it was an excellent price/value rate and I'd come back gladly.

Room was rather small but still large enough for a comfortable week stay. TBH, there's nothing to complain about unless you are a very demanding customer. Oh, there are the stairs and no elevator, mind you - but it's all in the Guesthouse description, so no surprise and no complaint here!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. Although the room was small, it was modern and efficiently designed with an air conditioner, bed, mirror, table, and chair, the window-balcony was offering the view to the street which I liked. The highlight was definitely the comfortable bed and pillow, ensuring a good night's sleep. The shared kitchen was well-equipped and convenient for preparing meals, and the three shower rooms with toilets were clean and easily accessible. The location is superb, being close to the city center and main landmarks, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Overall, a great choice for both comfort and convenience.

The plumbing was overused and some parts were broken

I don't understand the grossly negative comments. I rented a private small room in one of the apartments on the lower floor. It was super clean. With new ikea equipment. The staff there were nice. Obviously louder than other types of accommodation because many rooms , and thiny walls , but anyone looking for this type of place should know. Gift of coffee tea. Clean towels every day. On sale they were €31 and €37. It's well worth it. Communication was also fast.

The bathrooms should be renovated.

Amazing location! The communication with staff was easy and the room was cleaned every day so was lovely to come back to in the evening. Good facilities.

The private rooms are all very close together with fairly thin walls so you can hear people coming and going. In our room we had a particularly squeaking bed, so noise was the only issue which brought down our experience of the property.

Right in the city centre next to everything like the famous arc of augusta! 5 min walk from metro that we got from airport. Lots of restaurants and supermarket nearby! Communal areas very clean and modern and it’s quiet for it being in the city centre! I liked the fact it was an online reception but some maps in the communal areas would be appreciated!

We didn’t mind this but if you are unable to walk stairs then ask for first floor as there are no lifts and we were on third floor which in reality is like a fifth floor. The water pressure in shower was quite low and the toilet smelled of sewage first thing in the morning but staff were kind enough to provide with air fresheners!

Great central location in Lisbon! Perfect for a few days in the city as you can reach most main places on foot. Lots of great restaurants nearby. The room was modern with good air conditioning and the check in process was easy. Hosts were extremely responsive and answered all our questions quickly. Bed and linen were very nice and comfortable.

The door to the apartment doesn’t block out much noise from the corridor which can get a bit noisy as people come and go but it wasn’t that bad and earplugs block this out. Definitely worth the visit still.

I was on the third floor. There were quite a lot of stairs to the apartment but I did not mind this and I was made aware of this before I booked the room. This property is in a fantastic location and exceptional value for money. The apartment was cleaned every day and the bathroom was always spotlessly clean. The shower had hot water regardless of what time I used it and I rarely had to wait to use the shared bathroom. The kitchen area was easy to use and well stocked with utensils. I would definitely come back to Baixa Guesthouse.

I would have liked a little more storage in my room as I could not unpack all of my clothes but this was a minor issue. The apartment could be noisy, especially when people were leaving for early flights in the morning. I would suggest taking ear plugs.
