Good hotel for a family very near the city. We enjoyed the family suite, which had a lot of room for a downtown hotel: two twin sofa beds, separate bedroom, well equipped kitchenette with lots of dishes, and a big outdoor deck with table and chairs. The front desk staff was very friendly. Waterfront is only two blocks away, with easy access to running/walking trail, and city is three blocks.

Very silly and surprising rule requiring bathing caps in the indoor swimming pool. In hundreds of hotels, I have never seen this. Hotel would like you to purchase swim caps from them, for 1.5E each, even for children. Yet, none required for hot tub or outdoor pool.

Large rooms (separate bedroom) with kitchen corner, very quiet. Walking distance from center and seafront. Very good breakfast (though a bit more fruit variety wld have been good). Excellent a la carte restaurant in the evening (though not open every day): fantastic value for money and, alas for them, far from crowded. External and internal swimming pools not that big but nice and relaxing.

The gym was minimal (a few machines, no weights) and not with enough a/c. Was alone in it so cld use either cross-trainer, treadmill or rowing machine (one of each) at will but hey should invest a bit more in it as large space. Narrow one way street to reach the hotel and its free parking. Hotel is nice and well decorated but surroundings might be off-putting: the street had better days and the economic recovery is slow...

location of the hotel great to get out of town by car quickly - we did daily tours to different parts of the island 20 min walk into the historic centre of town and restaurants within 10 min of the hotel pressure of the water in the shower was great breakfast buffet had good choice except on fresh fruit and fresh juices - very good quality yoghurt lovely to have a restaurant on site the spa facility , indoor pool and outdoor pool great for relaxing after a busy day of site seeing

Hotel asks everyone to re use towels but not enough space to hang them - miss more towel rails the fresh fruit at breakfast came from a fridge and was not seasonal. cut fruit were orange slices the first day and thereafter everyday melon - got very boring after 4 days- why no pineapple, banana , mango etc which we saw plenty of at the markets all fruit juice were nectars - no fresh juice at all bar ran out of nibblies on 3rd day there-no replenishment of out of stock items

We chose Hotel Antillia for it's location and mostly because of the parking on site, and we were very well surprised and satisfied with our stay. The hotel is very spacious, the room was big and also the bathroom, plenty of space! The staff was always very nice to us, and went out of their way to give us tips and try to help us with our trip plans. The breakfast was varied and very tasty. There was a pool, that we did not have time to use, and also a spa on site. The fact that we always managed to park our rental car on site in the hotel was a big plus. Ponta Delgada's streets are very narrow and parking can be a hassle, so we were always reassured about the rental parked in the garage. And at no extra cost! The city center can be reached by a 10 minute walk, as well as the sea front. Tha area was very quiet, we slept very well. Will stay again when we return!

We loved the staff …They were always very helpful and friendly, we also liked the view from our room it was very relaxing.

The breakfast!! Wish they had a better variety of options to choose from….It was the same choices every day!!!!!! We stood there for two weeks and every day it was always mushrooms , scrambled eggs , bacon and chouriço links cut into small circles and boiled eggs, let’s not forget the white and yellow cheeses , cold cuts and the smallest pancakes ….please add fresh fruits ,maybe bagels ,waffles, muffins etc. ….

Rooms were clean and comfortable, nice to have a bath as well. Great views from the room (7th floor). Outdoor and indoor pools were nice. Good breakfast with a nice selection of hot and cold options.

We were told that swimming caps were mandatory in the indoor pool so bought some and then found no one else appeared to need to wear them. Indoor pool area was quite cold. Breakfast wasn’t until 07:30 which was a bit late, would ideally liked to be able to have breakfast at 07:00 on a couple of days we planned tours.

The hotel employees are very friendly and always try to fulfil all your wishes. The breakfast buffet is very good and not overpriced, and the burgers on the bar were surprisingly delicious as well. We had a fully equipped apartment that was very roomy and had everything you needed..

You have to pay extra for parking and the hotel parking is only accessible via a very narrow street.

I was supervised with the cleanness of the facilities. The hotel has age and you can see it in the style but everything was clean, in bathroom there were not a single spot. Thus who have nostalgia on style of 90-00 would like the style of hotel. The location is perfect, very close to everything, walking distance to the pineapple plant (10-15 min), the harbor (5-10 min) and the main shopping (5-10 min) The services is also very nice, kids were super happy with inside swimming pool, sauna and play corner. The last helped us to have at least 15 min of our time :)

I am more modern person, so I would prefer another style of hotel. But to have such combination of services and location was a savvier with small kids.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The pool area had a nice mix of sun and shade. Wifi was available throughout the hotel. The closet space in the regular rooms was very generous.

The hotel is spread out, so be prepared to take up to two elevators to reach your room. The closet space in the one bedroom apartment was very limited. The breakfast was expensive and would have benefitted from more fresh fruit.

Antillia is a clean, modern hotel with lots of nice amenities, such as an indoor and outdoor pool, a steam bath and a sauna. The front desk staff were lovely, always smiling and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The location was great for walking around the centre and easily accessible to many restaurants.

The layout of the hotel was odd, I had to use two elevators to get to my room and it took several minutes to get from the lobby to the seventh floor. They served a breakfast for ten euros, but there was no option to get just a coffee in the morning.
