The hotel in general is great, big parking lot, good location (around 15 min away from the city by car), breakfast was nice, and the staff is lovely. The pool was nice but often full with people using the chairs. The Spa is ok, a hot water pool and a gym. I love the cats walking around, it really made my stay.

Dinner was crazy expensive, 24.5 without drinks it's just too much. Shower in the bathroom is not great, they charge you for the coffee pods in the bedroom, for what I paid for the room I expected this to be free.

many facilities (especially in the health club) were out of order. the hotel doesn't entirely live up to its 4 stars, many of the fittings / carpets were worn/stained and could really do with a refurb. the location is not the best on the island, but for the price it was a great compromise.

Room was nice size, clean, well appointed. Dinner was a bit expensive but very good. Waiter/bar staff were super nice and helped with our language barrier. We were easily able to communicate. Pool facilities looked nice - did not have time to use them.

Not really a complaint - the hotel is on the main road around the island - this road has very little traffic, but if you leave your patio doors open and you are staying on the road side of the property then when, on the rare occasion a car does whiz by, it is a bit noisy. The trade off is worth it as you have an ocean view from that side and you can hear the waves crashing in the distance.

Good breakfast with lots of choice, decent amenities and nice pools. Front desk staff was very helpful. A/C in room was very good. It was nice to be able to use the pool towels for thermal baths around the island.

Bathroom tile could use a refresh. Steam room not very steamy. Hotel guests should be able to use restaurant for dinner without reservations.

Just excellent, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. The room is amazing, all new, with a huge bed, super clean, with a very nice balcony with views to the pool and the palm trees. A little paradise. There are cookies, tea, coffee and a fridge in the room. The staff is very friendly and polite. Free parking and amazing breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere. Very good location just 15 min from Ponta Delgada and around 30 min to all the best places of the island. I couldn't have asked for more!

Only the indoor pool that is a bit cold, but I didn't expect to have an indoor pool anyway!

Very nice and helpful staff, nice breakfast in bar and nice overall hotel atmosphere . The room was relatively silent.

There was a mold in bathroom, water taps were dirty beneath. At the bar, they do only few cocktails, even after you ask the staff, while they have ingredients for much more.

convenient location for our travels. Loved having breakfast on site. The room was nice with r comfortable bed with balcony.

we rented the hotel for the pool as my daughter loves the swim and since we were traveling in April the ocean was not an option. the outdoor pool was clean but it was still to cold as it was in the 60s for outdoor pool, the indoor pool looked very murky and we didn’t feel like it was a good idea to swim in it. that was a let down.

The room was comfortable, well equiped and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was OK. We had no issue find what we wanted during our 8 night stay.

The equipment is not new, what is OK. But it needs some maintenance. The bathroom was clean but there was a layer of limescale on and under the tap.

Great location. Capelas is just outside of busier Ponta Dalgado but has a very tranquil feel about it. Perfectly situated for trips on either the east or west coast. Would recommend!

Decent hotel with renovated rooms and importantly very friendly and accommodating staff

Breakfast not at 4 stars - we have stayed on two other properties during our last trip to Azores (San Miguel) and this breakfast was below average. Everyday the same - scrambled eggs (on two (out of three) days not prepared properly, pancakes (some raw in the middle), etc.
