Excellent breakfast, the entire hotel was absolutely spotless, extremely clean and pleasant. The staff could not have been any nicer, extremely helpful and friendly. The room was impeccable and very comfortable. The hotel is not vey modern but I actually loved this aspect. I had zero issues.

No parking nearby, it could be an issue if you carry large luggage, but if you don't mind to walk approximately 5-10 minutes as we did, the walk through the city it was actually very pleasant, the area is extremely safe and beautiful.

I felt the location of Hotel Sao Miguel was perfect: a five minute walk to restaurants, shopping and the harbor. Breakfast was lovely: scrambled eggs, various breads and pastries, fresh fruit, cheese and meats, yogurts, cereals. All of the staff was polite and accommodating.

The hotel has about 25 rooms on two floors, and there is no elevator. At times, I could hear the guests in other nearby rooms.

The hotel is situated very close to the centre of Ponta Delgada, which makes the location excellent. Check-in was smooth and there was the option to leave my suitcase while the room was being prepared. The hotel is well situated with regard to facilities and restaurants. This makes it a good choice for someone on foot and new to the city.

The door to the room provides very little sound insulation, so when the cleaners start work at 7am you hear everything and every word of conversation. This was a little annoying. Otherwise the hotel provides excellent value for money.

The staff at Hotel Sao Miguel were excellent! They all were friendly, polite, helpful and kind. We had a wonderful stay. It was warm enough for comfort. The beds were really comfortable! The hotel was very clean and fresh. No musty smell in spite of the humidity of the island. Obviously extra care was taken to keep the place clean! Lovely fresh breakfast included. The location was a 10 minute walk to everything - the waterfront, many restaurants, sights to see, tourist office and grocery stores. We would highly recommend this hotel!

The only thing we did not like was the humidity in the hotel bathroom. Unfortunately the bathroom was very damp, so we did have to put towels on the floor to soak up the water. This was not the fault of the hotel!! Maybe the bathroom fan filter needs a change? This was honestly the only "problem " at all. It would not deter me from staying there again at all because our stay was excellent, we would happily stay there again!.

Location was great, walking distance to everything, your staff the best, the front desk ladies, the chef in breakfast amazing. Special thanks to the young lady at front my husband got sciatica the moment we arrive being unable to move and she help me letting me know where the pharmacy was, also where the hospital was, as we ended taking him to hospital luckly they were able to help him and he was able to walk again and we continue with our trip, front desk ladies accommodate us to the ground level to avoid steps for him Thank you very much for caring

The staff was very kind and they showed us places to visit in the island, a place to park the car, as well as a really nice choice (if not the best) to dinner downtown. Rooms were quiet, super clean and comfortable, beds were awesome for a really nice sleep! The included breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of products to choose, each one of them excellent. Also the staff during the breakfast was very kind, helping and really efficient! We were amazed! We will repeat for sure in this hotel if we come back, we're looking forward to it!

Located in the centre of Ponta Delgada. Main square (city gates) is just a short walk away. Shops and restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Payable parking in the street (free at nights and on Sundays) or free parking short walk away. Decent breakfast. Prompt communication. Would stay at this property again!

There was some smell in the room felt when entering the room. Window was facing a small internal courtyard, so probably this is the reason for bad ventilation. Upper floors accessible by stairs, which can be a problem for some people, but it was not an issue for us.

The room was very cosy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I loved the little balcony looking out onto the street.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, as the same things were served every day, and it was not a big variety of foods.

Breakfast was good,room was very clean girls were very helpful getting our bags up the stairs.The only thing was no elevator.the people were very friendly and helpful the hotel was close to the center.I

I didn’t like that the hotel didn’t have a lift or an elevator other than that it was good and very clean. Would go there again.

Staff ladies were all very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good, we do suggest to open earlier for breakfast. Rooms are a bit small, but in an amazing island like this you dont need to spend time at the hotel room. Bed was confortable and we loved both staff and location. Very near the main square, where you can book anything. Everything was very clean. Ask for room 20 ;)

Rooms were a bit small, we had to move the chair all the time in order to open the windows.
