Being off season it was lovely and quiet. Great nights sleep!

After experiencing staying there I understand the one-on-one attention especially during check in. I understand the need to be walked to your building and room, love that detail of service! Unfortunately, it was always the ladies at reception walking guests to their rooms. Because of that, there were several times the reception desk was unmanned. This then caused other guests and delivery people to wait long periods of time to check in or drop off. It wasn’t until the last day of our stay that we even saw a young lad that helped us put our luggage in storage for the day. The only other thing that’s comes to mind is every morning at breakfast there was a big clash of plates that must have fallen and broke… EVERY morning! 😬

The property was beautiful. The trees were in bloom the gate and the walkway were very inviting.

Once you were down the beautiful driveway the landing had a dirt landing with dying trees.

The room was very nice and everything is new and modern

There was a miscommunication from the staff on our first day about the breakfast, they have mentioned that the breakfast was not included in my reservation and that I should pay per day, we decided not to eat at the hotel, but on the last day they have charged the breakfast for every single day that we did not enjoyed, so I was a bit disappointed.

The rooms and nice and clean. Good location(has a parking arrangement with a garage next door).

Asked for a late checkout (which is 1h later than the usual time)… 20 minutes before the late checkout had a cleaning lady knocking on my door asking me to leave! Reported it to the reception, very disappointed. Also, the staff at breakfast has to be mindful that there are portuguese guests at the hotel, meaning that we can understand your gossiping about guests, other staff members and so on. It was quite uncomfortable to be there listening to all of that. Also reported this to the front desk when I left.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how peaceful and serene it felt which is something you don’t always find in the heart of a city. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive, and the facilities were top-notch. My room was extremely comfortable, spacious, and perfectly equipped for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location was ideal. I found walking to most attractions very easy, and even crossed the city one evening to watch the sunset at Jardim do Morro, which was a truly memorable experience. One day, I walked to the beach, which took around 40 minutes, and returned easily by bus (just make sure you have a few euros as cards aren’t accepted). The beach club "Praia da Luz" in Foz was absolutely amazing. As a solo female traveller in my late 20s, I wanted a place where I could feel comfortable, safe, and have a balance between sightseeing and downtime with a good book. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I managed to spend a whole afternoon by the pool, which was pure bliss. On busier days, I found a peaceful spot at the front bar area instead, the cocktails were delicious and the food was simply outstanding. Breakfast was ideal for me: quiet, well-stocked, and with a great variety no matter what time I went. Every part of the hotel felt carefully considered, from the stylish, relaxing common areas to the little touches in the rooms that made it feel like a home away from home. Whether you’re looking to explore the city, take a leisurely stroll, or simply unwind, this hotel strikes the perfect balance. I can’t recommend it highly enough and would definitely stay here again on a future visit.

The shower in the bathroom was very leaky! I did end up with a puddle on the floor after showering each day, which didn't bother me too much, but I felt a bit guilty for the housekeeping team as the towels were soaked!

The location was excellent, close to many shops, bars and restaurants. Even the shopping area which is called Santa Caterina is like 20min walking. The hotel and rooms are clean, the staff are always making sure that u have everything u need.

We stayed for 3 nights and I expected that the breakfast will differ a little bit from a day to another. I didn’t like that there were only 7 sun-beds near the small pool so we couldn’t spend some time there during this heat wave :) The rooms are considered small. At the lobby bar, only one young lady is working and she is supposed to serve 20 people at the same time because at night it was nice to sit outside.

Hotel was like a private oasis centrally located within easy walking distance to nice restaurants, grocery, public transit and points of interest. Staff was friendly, attentive, but not in your face.Grounds were well maintained and buildings were beautiful; tastefully decorated while preserving historical grandeur and luxury. Rooms were spotless, well sized, with comfortable beds . Only ate breakfast there, but lots of choices and all food was fresh and well prepared. Looked forward to returning to One Shot after a day of exploring beautiful Porto.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and large rooms. We have been placed in the newly renovated building that was the former garage of the palace and had great rooms with very comfortable beds and a lot of space. Both rooms were close to each other which we had asked for when doing the reservation. The old palace is perfectly renovated with much love to detail. Also, the hotel is located well in the centre of Porto with only a 15 min walk to the old town.

Pool area is a bit small for the size of the hotel. Staff at breakfast could have been a bit more attentive.

We really loved our stay here. I nearly cancelled when I oddly struggled to guarantee a double bed in our room in a hotel! So glad I didn’t, it’s such a beautiful building - an unexpected inner sanctum on the walk from the train station in the rain. Staff were all extremely helpful and accommodating during our stay. We had a delicious desert and drinks in the stunning dining room one evening - very relaxing. It was a short walk into the centre. We got an Uber from Vila Nova de Gaia one night which was very reasonably priced too. It was a bit chilly to use the pool unfortunately - will definitely come back to try it out!
