The location was perfect, near the center. The check in is super easy and smooth. Our room had two beds. I liked how kind was the staff. I liked that even though the check in was at 2pm, they allowed us to leave our stuff in the room so we could enjoy Porto. When we arrived, the room was ready and cleaned. The room has shutters so it is good for those that need complete black room to sleep.

One minor things would be that our air conditioner wasn’t working well at the beginning and there was no fan to compensate. Would be good for the staff to check those things prior. Another minor thing would be that on top of the wardrobe there was a lot of dust. Would be good for the staff to clean that as well but is not a big deal.

It's super well-located, incredibly nice, very very very clean, and communication with them was top-notch. It was great for what we needed (which was honestly a 1-night stay close to the Jardins do Cristal for a concert) but it was clear it would work wonders for a longer stay. We loved the breakfast options and how we had a tea kettle, tea, sugar, and coffee for the room! Will definitely come back :)

Honestly, the doors were the issue in our case. The door to our room made this whining noise when opening and/or closing (imagine like a ghost sound from a movie), which made us very conscious about arriving late at night and trying to avoid making noise. Then, the bathroom door outright didn't close, even when we tried pushing into it or lifting it (to see if it was just drooping a bit on one side). The door to the balcony was great though, it literally was the bathroom's that was the trouble :) If the place looks into it or the door to the room, it'd all have been absolutely incredible!

Although we were just a couple, we booked Family Room (actually, a small apt, consisting of two rooms and a balcony). That was a prudent decision, since double bed was kind of narrow (150 cm or so), thus to get a comfortable sleep we used both beds (double - in one rooom, and single - in another) during our stay. Appartment was tastefully furnitured and clean. Better that expected. Easy self-check-in: you are provided (via Booking message) with a code for opening external door, and just inside, at the foot of a staircase, you see small blackboard with the names of the guests and their respective room numbers, relevant keys hanging right there. Breakfast consists of a cold dishes, but that was expected and the choice was reasonably good. OVERALL VERDICT: quite a good value for the price.

Well, the place was not that close to the riverfront or other places of interest in Porto, but that, of course, can not be helped - and we knew the location before we booked our stay. So, no complaints about that, just statement of a fact :)

Very central, walking distance to everything you might need (which is a bonus because Porto public transport turned out a bit confusing). The host was very friendly and organized, which mattered a lot since we checked in late and didn't stay long. There are ways to relax indoors, with a large balcony to the room and shared spaces in the hallway. And we'd definitely recommend the transfer from the airport to 100 Contos!

The bathroom to our room had a bit of a funny smell and no ventilation (except through the room). But everything basic we needed was very carefully arranged and functional.

The location was the absolute best – everything was so near! Breakfast was fantastic, and the rooms were sparkling clean and very kid-friendly, with lots of toys for the little ones. The staff provided incredible support. They were so friendly and even held onto our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. Truly wonderful and supportive!

The price could be 10% cheaper and for me would be the best value for the rooms.

Highly recommend this guest house. Lovely room with little patio and view. Easy to self check in. Staff were around in the mornings and were lovely, helpful and friendly. Simple continental breakfast which was good. Communal fridge was useful. Good location with some lovely restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk.

Breakfast starts at 8.30am which was a bit too late when working.

Extremely cosy place that we would definitely recommend and revisit. The room was perfectly cleaned and there was all what we needed - also a nice small balcony with two chairs and a table and with a nice view over the roofs and gardens. And, very important: Really welcoming staff who greeted us and contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. Perfectly located with just 10-15 minutes walk to the Douro river.

The cleanliness, friendliness of staff and location were the things I appreciated most at 100 Contos. Vanessa was very helpful in getting me oriented since I travel without a GPS. The breakfasts were good. Each morning there was a basket with fresh baked goods for each person/couple. I especially appreciated the fresh fruit and yogurt. I felt it was a very good deal for the price.

Online check-in, kind staff at breakfast time. The guest house is 15-20 minutes walking from Porto’s main sight. The airport is 20 minutes by taxi.

Not intensive light/bulb in the room. No light at the mirror in the bathroom and no place to put your clothes at showering. We would be happy to have more connectors. Small things but important for us.

Everything about 100 Contos was amazing. There is nothing to complain about . The host and the staff are excellent. The rooms were very clean and gave a comfortable and cosy feeling just like home. The breakfast was not very huge but sufficient. The entire place smelled always so fresh and good. I stayed with my friend in a room with a small balcony. They also had a sofa which could be converted into a full size bed so both of us had one big bed each . Could not ask for more. The location is perfect. In just 2 minutes of walking you are in the town . There are so many places to eat around and all kinds of restaurants. The distance from the hotel to the river is just 10 mins of walk . This was one of my best stays in Europe . Thank you 100 contos team for the hospitality.
