I can't say anything less than GREAT about this hostel. We mainly chose it because of its location as it is bang in the middle of things and you can walk anywhere in Porto from it. We weren't disappointed as there are great places around it and it was so easy to check in and get settled. When my partner got food poisoning and was unwell, they were the kindest people ever! Especially Guillhermo, he called us an ambulance and stayed with us until they arrived. The next day the woman at the reception (sorry we can't recall her name) she kindly spruced up our room and gave us clean linen and towels. We would recommend them for sure!!

Initially, when we came in we found it a bit noisy at night and not the cleanest of rooms. However, this is minimal compared to the friendliness and the support we received from the staff!

Perdo, the host is super helpful and look to make your stay enjoyable. If not for him might be a meh experience, but i did enjoy having him around as company and watching movies when i was in the living room. Location is great in the old town. Bathrooms are decent for hostels.

Kitchen was small, i dont cook so not a big deal for me, they only have a microwave fyi. My Bunk bed mattress too thin, hollow and they could maybe look to add curtains on the beds as that is becoming standard now in hostels.

Removing the kettle boiler just not to be robbed, & the night man 👨 going into the rooms during night 🚶 walking around to see i don't know what... Probably looking if someone is there for free he forgets that Filipa & Vânia they do a great job!!!!.. A negative Point nothing to do with the staff.. But yes to the owner (HE SHOULD PUT DOUBLE WINDOWS BECAUSE OF THE NOISE CAUSED BY THE STREET PUBS, I'M SURE 100%HE ALREADY MADE THAT MONEY 💷 MORE THAN COUNTLESS TIMES TO DO IT!!!!!) PLEASE IF ANYONE READ THIS BUY EAR PLUGS!!!! 😅

Filipa greeted us and was great! We stayed in a private room with a bunk bed. My 80 yo mother slept on the bottom bunk and was happy as can be. The room and linens were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for us. The price is really good.

The only short coming was the lack of a kettle in the kitchen. As an early riser, the lack of coffee was difficult for me (I carry instant as a last resort). There was the bottom electric part of the kettle but not the kettle itself. Probably someone had taken it to their room and it was not the fault of the hostel.

The staff is reaaaally nice, the location is excellent.

Don't have an stove is annoying, as well as they closing almost the whole comum area at night, and having to use keys to unlock the bedroom everytime.

I absolutely loved this place. I’ve been to MANY hostels in my life but it was the first one where staff told me when I was leaving: “it was nice meeting you!” They brand themselves as family ran business I don’t know if they are family but definitely you could feel the aura of friendship, kindness and welcoming. The beds are attached to the wall so there is no issue with people going over or under your bed. The place is clean and smells nice. In the reception they also sell some cool sneakers. All was more than great 😊! 5 ⭐️ I’ve booked 1 night initially - I stayed 1 week.

The only thing is missed was kitchen to cook - there is only microwave and kettle to heat up the water. It is not hostel dependent - there are bars and restaurants outside if you’re staying in the room by the main road prepare for very loud Friday / Saturday nights… and I mean reaaaaaaalyyyyyuuu loud.

Nice reception staff. Fast communication. Good location. Special rate was about 14 euros, worth it for one night. The towel is not included in the price. Plus one euro. Which is odd even at a special price.

I loved the neighborhood! Very walkable, close to cafes, and stores, and historic spots. Filipa gave great advice on places to go. Because it was in an older part of town it was less intimidating for me to explore on my own.

The street was a little noisy at night, but I got used to it. In fact it ended up more of a plus than a negative because it was great people watching!

The staff can turn an ordinary common hostel into an outstanding, wonderful place. I respect a place that has an accomdating a welcoming atmosphere. That and other reasons I'm rating it a 10. At check-in, I felt welcome, and they asked what time I planned to check out so I could get assistance with my luggage. The hostel is no-frills, and you get what you pay for. I mean that positively the price is fitting to the accommodation it's a pleasant atmosphere. The room is clean, bathrooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. I stayed in a female dorm with 4 beds. The room was exactly as it was pictured on booking.com. The space of the room is generous with plenty of room to move around. The room itself locked and had locked storage inside the room. 24-hour access to the hostel a code is given at check-in to let yourself in and out as you please. The code is given to you during check-in on the card with other useful information. Along with the card, I was given a set of keys to my dorm and the locked storage. The hostel is centrally located with plenty of access to restaurants, bars, and markets within walking distance. I felt safe within the hostel and in the community.

I can not say I didn't like anything, but I should warn other guests that it can get loud at night. The noise is mainly from the outside. As the hostel is centrally located in a busy part of town. It has an energetic nightlife in an active city. While I enjoy city life, others may not find it enjoyable. This is not something the hostel itself can control. It is just something to think about before you book. Another warning is there are stairs. This may be a concern to people with limited mobility. As there are no dorms or beds that can be accessed without climbing stairs.

Great location, no problem checking in, staff were very friendly. There is a place where you can sit with your laptop and meet for coffee. There are drawers with a lock and you didn’t have to pay extra for them.

The kitchen is small and there is no way to prepare anything from food, just make sandwiches, heat ready-made food in the microwave, but there is a coffee machine :) In the morning there was not enough space to sit with tea or coffee when the reception room was closed.
